  2. Who is they? USCIS or NVC? That is not an issue if delays are out of your control
  3. NVC will notify you when they will forward your petition to the consulate. If you want to know your case number before that happens, you will have to contact NVC. It’s currently taking 60-90+ days for a case to go from USCIS to NVC.
  4. One of the first questions I was asked at my K1 interview was when was the last time you saw your fiancé (this was in 2021). Maybe you can meet somewhere halfway to reduce your flying time. I hope it works out for you, good luck!
  5. ~~ Topic moved from Removal of Conditions forum to Moving to the US & Your new life in America where DL/real Id issues are discussed ~~ Not all places accept an extension letters. After a quick look at NJ MVC they want an unexpired GC.
  6. For I-129f approval you only need to show one in person meeting. They do not make the decision based on proof of genuine relationship. That’s where the consulate comes in - they will approve or deny a visa depending on the evidence of ongoing/bonafide relationship. Fair or not, but some consulates are “tougher” than others such as Nigeria. Meeting before the visa interview is crucial, 2021 is way too far back.
  7. ~~ Duplicate thread removed. Please Do not start multiple threads on same or related topics as that’s spamming ~~
  8. That is out of the norm. CBP must take it and then send it to USCIS. It is not valid anymore as it’s been unsealed. USCIS won’t accept an unsealed medical packet.
  9. ~~ Topic moved from AOS K1 forum to AOS work/student/tourist visas as this is AOS from a student visa, not fiancé ~~
  10. ~~ Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures ~~ Are you sure it’s the sealed medical that was returned? What was the reason for CBP officer returning it?

  14. Hard to predict. I’m leaning towards it not being an issue. Too risky. 24,890 is barely over 22,887
  15. Then, he’s fine. Submit an employment letter and 6 months of most recent paystubs.
  16. What matters is CURRENT income, not past. What is the current income projected for this year?
  17. K1 can be problematic when it comes to Pakistan. I’ve seen numerous threads where it’s been an issue, you can search the forums. I strongly recommend spousal visa. It will be a long wait though.

  20. ~~ Topic moved from K1 forum to What Visa do I need forum ~~ She should always tell the truth. If the primary purpose is to visit you, then state that (if asked) rather than a “family friend”. Agree with @Redro, a lot of people visit their significant others in the US. Marrying here isn’t an issue, but she must return to her home country to continue the process.
