Agreed. This is already an incredibly stressful and confusing time and this thread title is not helping at all. I'm sure this was not OP's intention though but yeah :/

Is the new EO signed by trump right now affects K1 or not?

No one is giving a straight answer

A mod needs to create a sticky thread and list all visas affected by it.

B2 visas are not under any ban...but they are considered routine at the embassies... Of course there will be backlogs and embassies might decide to prioritize other visas... Giving whas happening in the world now obtaining any visa is an uphill task... Good luck

I worded it poorly. I just meant with the backlog, will it be likely at all for him to get an appointment on time by the end of the year.

Thank you for posting this! Just to clarify this petition is regarding the march 11 travel ban and points out that the ds160 form requires k1 applicants to list the American petitioner as immediate family, so as immediate family they should also be exempt from the travel ban.

Maybe read it? The petition points out that the ds160 form recognizes fiances as immediate family and therefore should be exempt.

Go ahead and file. Things could speed up, you never know, and at least you'll have that set of paperwork done and in process and off your desk.  Take your time, read the instructions carefully, and go for it.

Very, as it has been for a few years.

In normal conditions, the time it takes for your case to be processed is a matter of luck. You can find numerous posts from people reporting cases before and after them being processed, while theirs remain untouched.

As the other members have advised, the moment to file is NOW.

It wouldn't hurt, but it might also not help. We only included like 5 pictures in total, since they are only secondary evidence.
Boarding passes or hotel receipts etc. of trips on which you saw each other are much better evidence.

Photos are secondary evidence...if you lacking if photos try to used documents that prove you went on that trip to make up for it...You must have met within 2 years is the requirement but that is not to say you cant include evidence that you have know her for more than 2 years....Your whole packet should tell a story ,a realistic story...goodluck

The case of the dammmn if they do something wrong and dammmmn that they do something right. Can't seem to please everyone. You can set your phone not to notify during certain hours, but you accept those people that you put on your list of callers to let through. I have mine set for 9pm to 6am and have all my children on the list of callers I will accept in the event they need to contact me. No one will wake me.

    Why are you sending chats?

Any evidence submitted to the uscis not in English needs a translation or it will never be considered.   Chats are not a consideration at the petition stage.

No such thing as a declaration of how you met letter.   All you need provide are statements of intent to marry from each

The same has happened to N-400 processing times. All offices, all over the country, are now showing 12.5 - 36 months for processing. I’m not reading too much into it for now.

It may not make sense to you but how I interpret it is if they look at the cases they completed 2 months ago (we know they were working with a skeleton shift) and they multiple it by the total number of cases they currently have it would take 32.5-42 months if they continued at the rate they were processing cases 2 months ago... which would lead me to believe whenever they have full staff working again these processing times would drastically decrease.

It's possible that they recently found they still had cases THAT OLD, and decided to finally work on them.
When it comes to processing times, they use the oldest case they're working on to calculate. It does not mean every case will take that long.

You skipped the definition, right after that line :
"Your marriage must be valid, meaning both you and your fiancé(e) have a bona fide intent to establish a life together and the marriage is not for the sole purpose of obtaining an immigration benefit."

But note this is for the visa. The petition does not have any such requirement.
I have never seen an RFE or denial of an I-129F for a fiance/fiancee due to lack of relationship evidence. Providing such evidence is not in the instructions.

Spousal visas are not subject to IMBRA. How you first met doesn't matter in your case. It can matter in the OP's case.
