Hello guys!! Have a good day. With all these lock-downs in the world, what should you do if you cannot obtain a police clearance certificate due to closure of relevant division in the police department?
My friend submitted without it but included a note that he was unable to obtain the police certificate due to COVID and will bring to the interview. He got DQ last week.

Hi All ,
I had my interview today at 10am, and got approved for CR1 visa. Thank you all VJ community members. This forum has helped me a lot. I would have finished the process long ago if I had found this forum early. I wish you all the best in your journey.
Congrats! We need to hear some good news. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Folks,
I hope all of you are in good health and also that you still have some nails left
I just got off a chat session with a live agent and she told me that my case is now being handled by TSC (Texas Service Center) which is 👌. She mentioned multiple times that: "case is still inside normal processing time". I asked her that considering my case had been transferred from to TSC from California, if I should now follow TSC timeline. Again she repeated that same line above and proceeded to incorrectly reference the notice date 20190ct15 as my Priority Date(PD) instead of the proper PD 2019Oct10, clearly indicated in the IOE. When I pointed that out, got same responce. She asked me multiple times to check again after May 15th and at that point I found it useless to continue using logical reasoning. She also mentioned that those dates are also updated the 15th of each month so I guess I am going to check again this Friday. My question to you folks is:
Have you asked what is the process in case your case is transferred to another Service Center? Logically sounds like the case should follow the Processing Times of the new Service Center, but with immigration there is not such thing as logic.Again be safe, best of luck and thanks so much for sharing your experience. This site and their people are awesome!!!
Yes, you should follow the Processing Times of Texax Service Center. I hope you get approved very soon. Good luck!

Apologies if this question has already been answered! But does the petitioner have to sign the i864 in ink? Or can they add an electronic signature via abode?
Thank you in advance!
A wet signature is required for I-864. The petitioner has to physically sign the form, they do not accept electronic signature.

Is the NVC send out a welcome letter via email or post mail? Our PD also showed up for VB may 2020.
Yes, if they have your email you will receive the letter via email and they will also mail it out to you.

You are right, it is so frustrating!

Mine was Feb 24 and I got DQed yesterday. That was my first submission. Hope you hear from them very soon.

I had the same question and I called NVC. They just told me I didn't need that part. I don't think it's a requirement anymore. Do they have your email address on file?
Yes, you should as it is no longer a requirement. I did not have to fill DS261 either.

We can finally start filing.
Does anyone know how to add a joint sponsor? He is also the person that we are going to live with first.
let me know!
The petitioner must file I-864 and upload it on CEAC. After uploading, you will see the option to add the joint sponsor.

The applicant (my wife) currently cannot obtain the Police Clearance Certificate from the Passport Office in Mumbai due to the COVID national lockdown order in India. Could the DS-260 and other supporting documents be processed without it for now? She will bring the original Police Clearance Certificate with her to the interview when the consulate opens up.
Has anybody had success trying to submit without the PCC, or will the NVC simply return the application as incomplete even with the current situation?
Write a letter of explanation and submit to NVC.

can you share info on when you submitted?
My Priority date was June 26, 2019 and all documents submitted on feb 24 at NVC. I was worried because I uploaded some add documents only four days ago . Got DQ'd today 05/06/2020 Got 'NO' RFE's or such in the whole process.

Good news and thanks for the reply.
Theoretically, can I do this initial account creation and email change for her? I don't see why I couldn't.
Yes, you absolutely can.

You don't have to contact the NVC OR create a new email address as you will be able to change the email address easily on the CEAC site. When logging into the CEAC, click on edit email then you can enter the correct email.
