Hi guys, I just want to tell you about my experience traveling with Advance Parole.
I went to my home country on February 24 to March 8, 2022. On my return, I was stopped at the airport in my country by the airline representative and asked to wait while they verify with border officials in the USA that my document was valid. Upon entering the US, I was taken to secondary inspection as expected. I was not asked any questions at all. I was told to have a seat. After 10 minutes, I was called and handed my passport and advance parole document and told 'welcome home'..

I am still confused about no medical request!! 
 
Background: I have been here since 2004. Did some digging, Medical request is very very common but not technically necessary if you read the language from USCIS. Lawyer e-mail, said not to worry about medical, he will do what he needs to do and call in a day or so to go over if we need to do anything. 
 
@sandranj can you tell me if you have seen this happen lately. I did find quite a few cases like this on reddit  and other forums!!

RFE on 360 (Good faith marriage) - 7/2019
360 approved - 11/2020
Transferred to local office (Newark NJ) - 1/2021
485 approved - 3/2022

I’m wondering if anyone, whose local office is Queens, NY,  recently got his/her interview notice. If there is any, could you please provide your timeline?
 
I’m October 2019 filer(i-360&i-485 concurrent filing) and my i-360 was approved in late August 2021. I-485 is pending.

Hey! My local office is also Queens, NY. I'm a June 2019 filer. My i-360 was approved in April 2021. I received medical rfe in February 2022 and they received it February 17th 2022. No updates since then.

I got this baby this morning for my I485, what would this mean? I did not submit Medicals yet 

I finally got my green card in hand. They had sent it to my lawyer's office.
I just wanted to encourage everyone who is waiting for their day to come. Even though you are going through this scary roller coaster now, just know it will eventually come to a stop. So just hang on tight, don't give up, don't loose hope keep fighting and  keep going.
I have been through it all, Bad marriage, Stokes, Removal Proceedings and even Arrest record. All this to say if my roller coaster came to a stop, so will yours. Have faith and stay strong. Even if you loose hope, because I know I did many times,  pick yourself up and keep pushing. 
Many of us, as we are waiting we miss out on alot of things like weddings, baby showers, graduations, separation from children we left behind, missing our families and even sad events like funerals. You have to believe the Supreme Being who brought you here will take good care of you. Your prayers and your tears will not be in vain. You will win!
 
 

friends, I'm feeling so low today... this process is sooooo long, almost unbelievable that they make survivors of abuse to wait this long. if anything, this should be the fastest one... I'm grateful for my work (thanks to EAD) and people I love... staying patient... but just wanted to share my feelings...

God is so faithful.
Can you please let me know when I can file for citizenship?  Is it 3 years or 5 years? And what documents do I need for it?  Will the officer ask about vawa, marriage, divorce, abuse? 
The abuser was a USC.

btw, my vawa was already approved so with this one I will have two valid work permits.

OMG.
USCIS processing time went back to July from August.
Now they are taking 23 to 30 months.
 
Honestly they are working backwards. This July 2019 is there forever.

I have received a deficiency notice from NBC right after posting that message here haha, so looks like my case has finally made it to NBC. It sure will, we are almost there! ❤️

My interview today went well and the decision will
be in 24hrs. He asked me questions about my I-485 only. He asked all the old EADs and passports. He also asked me if I travel out of the US. I have my lawyer on the phone on standby. I hope that I will get an approval soon.

hi..yes i did have an interview in chicago but it was basic demographics and yes/no answers. i took my i693 to interview

interview dec 2021 card in hand 1week later

Hello family! Finally I booked my travel to own country! After 8 years I will travel for 42 days with my advance parole and vawa approval.
