Look, DJT's end game was to limit immigration period. The easiest path to the WH was to play the whole illegal immigration card. But a plan was in place- with a few guys like Tom Cotton to come up with policies that will limit legal immigration. Want proof? Look at what Trump has done so far and google Tom Cotton immigration plan and you will have all the proof you want to have. Corona presented the OPPORTUNITY and TIME.  There are more legal immigrants than illegal immigrants, so it made sense to him to start limiting legal immigration. Taking immigration the merit way, will basically close 3/4 of the world to America. That is Africa, South and Central America, and Asia. Also, one LEGAL opening is all DJT needs to screw everything up. You are talking about an administration which does not operate in 50 shades of grey when it comes to these matters.
Whole point is, cover your back at all times and in all ways.

Same here many years ago I had to rely on my Congressman and he got sh$t done and everything moving along.  
 
I fully support everyone putting pressure on their congress person especially with the pending USCIS shutdown which will create even more havoc.  

Covid killed the USCIS budget. I feel everyone's pain. I would be losing my mind if we were still waiting for the visa or AOS. I would be writing and calling everyone. K1 just isn't important to the powers that be. Eventually it will probably phased out. I wish you all the best of luck.

Also some good news! Some K1 Twitter fam are arranging a class action lawsuit with some top notch lawyer. Its will be filed this monday. Im very happy!

Most of us doing a k1 would already be married if it wasnt for covid. So you can pretty much think of them as our spouse.

It's not about me agreeing or disagreeing with this. I just stated what is happening on the field. And what is likely to happen. Not discouraging you, but don't be surprised if it does not happen. I know truth is hard to take in especially when under emotional strain. But one has to say it anyways..

For this simple reason; a fiancé is not a spouse- that is why this may most likely be an exercise in futility.

What I meant in essence is don't do K1 when you can marry and file for CR1. Except in cases when it's not feasible to marry first. Spousal visa are superior to fiance visas and are priority to adjudicating consulates.

Hey everyone! Congratulations to all the recent approvals! This visa process has been one of the most trying and frustrating journeys of my life. Delays after delays. Trying to get answers on K1 resumption’s but getting no information from embassies. Contacting congressman and representative everyday and still nothing. So much uncertainty!! I mean when will this nightmare end?!?!? I’ve had it with all things visa at this point, and I’m praying to see the light at the end of the tunnel shining through very soon. I needed to vent, sorry about that. I pray everyone is well and sane😊
