Gosh, I'm so sorry, that's frustrating, especially considering this could have potentially been a glitch on their end (because, let's be real, their site is full of bugs and always crashing!). I really hope you have a quick turnaround with this review. 🤞

I did not submit my DS5540 Public Charge Questionnaire but it was advised by my Lawyer to fill this out and bring it to the interview.

It took us a month before we received out case# etc.. this is normal. you could always try calling NVC to see what they say!? You should be hearing something soon, though!

When submitting the DS260 we got an email  confirming it was submitted with the the DS260 page as an attachment for printing.

Did you get this email? It's subject would be U.S. DoS - CEAC Confirmation ( you case# )

That's so frustrating, and I'm sorry this is being dragged out for you. Try to say positive, you'll get there!

I have read so many similar stories here on VJ about how short and unhelpful lots of these NVC calls seem to go (when you do finally get through after dialing 30+ times and staying on hold an hour+).

It's upsetting that there's such a lack of compassion and understanding from them. I have no doubts that customer service is a tough job, but we're not calling upset that our package arrived two days late. We're calling because entire lives are shifted around and up in the air while we wait to reunite.

I'm afraid to leave it blank because I don't want NVC to say it's incomplete and then get an RFE but if I say no, it means that my husband wasn't exempt from public charge and if I answer yes it means my husband did request a public benefit. I'm so confused  

I'm also curious about this.

I am also wondering if you all think it's fine to hand write your answers in so for questions like this we could write, not applicable.🤔

I've never called, but I've seen other people wrote on here that they've had to call 30+ times before they can get through to be put on hold for an hour, unfortunately.

It wouldn't hurt to email also. But I'd definitely be calling as well.

I believe they email both the beneficiary and petitioner updates, as long as both emails are on file... However, I'm still checking almost daily 😵

I have read that a lot of people that submitted before Feb. 24th are just hoping they get DQ’d without the online DS-5540 and will bring a filled out DS-5540 to the interview. But in my case, is there really not a chance to get DQ’d without the online DS-5540? I really do not want an RFE. 

If I were in your shoes, and had just submitted everything only a few days ago, I would upload the DS-5540 now. Losing a few days in queue to avoid a possible RFE for it later is much better in terms of time!
