All i have to do to vote is register (no one asks for proof of citizenship at the office-even i had my naturalization papers with me. then at the voting place , i show voting registration and DL with photo ID 19 states allow illegals to have DL and DC also allows it my query? will the voting polls start asking for proof of citizenship like a US passport or US birth certificate ? that would help

Next Step for K-1 ?

If you have been assigned the DKR # for the US embassy in Senegal, you need to complete the DS 160 , keep a printed copy as you must take this to interview in Dakar / after completion of DS 160 follow the instructions for scheduling the interview and how to pay the fee -
N-400 Interview at 15 Weeks Pregnant
JeanneAdil replied to Nishris's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
congratulations on the new family "to be" -
The real downside is immigrants tend to live in communities of their ethnic group / so they would stick together and i would think support a fellow countryman for this process I had to live on 118th street in NYC to finish my Masters at Columbia. i was surprised when i went about the city that people stay and shop within a small radius of their apartment (did a study for socially class and it was 7 block radius) Italians in one area, Greeks in another , so on and so forth My great grandparents and grandma -at age 2- came to the US thru Canada into Michigan. i don't think any of them applied for citizenship but if they had , the neighbors to talk to would have been all family / great aunts and uncles, and cousins and aunts and uncles.

Security checks for those of us American born are so normal, i see nothing unusual about I had a neighborhood check along with calls to the references i gave when i applied to house a foreign exchange student My late husband had worked all his summers off from college for IBM but after graduation and going for a job with Federal systems division of IBM, they talked to neighbors, a couple of his teachers and 2 at his golf club 3 years ago FBI came here to inquire about a young man in our neighborhood that had gone into the military (didn't tell me why so i asked his parents later and they told me he had been trained for submarine duty and would now go to a nuclear sub.) any time you give references for a job, etc, don't be surprised if the people are called so its always best to ask them 1st if you can give out their name and number. and if applying to work with children , schools are checking criminal reports even for bus drivers / they have to in this day and age So to become a citizen , your standard of conduct should be above reproach

Thinking of Remarriage
JeanneAdil replied to csh2020's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
suggest that after marriage the 2 of u could permanently reside in her country as your attorney says it is considerable cheaper to live there and that lawyer is also prepared to write up the prenuptial agreement to protect your US properties / let that idea sink into her and then watch what happens -
What Demise is saying is "she smuggled herself by paying Coyote" Did she smuggle anyone else in and /or pay cayote to do that after 1997?

Moreso information
JeanneAdil replied to SquirtySplashy's topic in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
you can not plan to come (if you are not already here) on a ESTA or other and Adjust to stay Planning to do this is visa fraud If u r here in USA now and have decided marriage is for u, marry and do the AOS to stay If bene is outside the country , the spouse visa is superior to the K1 as u stated -
France is not a high fraud country so either visa will work As for signing marriage certificate (as needed in France) , if CO thinks to married for K1 , how do you prove u aren't married ? its really hard to prove a negative . Can you prove thru modus tollens? Modus tollens is a valid logical argument form in which a conditional statement (If P, then Q) and the negation of its consequent (Not Q) lead to the negation of the antecedent (Therefore, not P). This form is also called "denying the consequent" because it involves denying the "then" part of a "if-then" statement to conclude the denial of the "if" part. for you, its not that the K1 is faster or more expensive its the timeframe for the K1 and then the timeframe for the AOS and then the timeframe for the I 751 to get the 10 year green card and then , finally, the N 400 for citizenship read thru some K 1 timelines , like crazycats and know how long you will be dealing with immigration under a K1. the different petitions and all the documentation can drive a sane man crazy/ proving over and over that the relationship is real and providing all this personal info to USCIS again and again is a hassle Wishing u both a good life TOGETHER

what is his home country ? this makes a real difference in the timeframe BTW My vote for CR 1

Serious question, what's the truthful answer here?
JeanneAdil replied to Publius's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
"Have you EVER been a member of, involved in? these questions are about u not your former spouse -
Marry in France and do a CR1 for spouse / many many benefits to doing this have a celebration with family here in US after the visa and POE OR go thru with K1, marry in USA and after completion of the long and expensive AOS, take a long awaited honeymoon to France and celebrate there with family But DO NOT HAVE ANY kind of marriage or celebration in France ahead of the visa if going for K1 engagement party is normal but that;s all An engagement party in France is known as fiançailles and is a formal gathering to unite families and announce the couple's intent to marry

Job offer abroad with active N-400
JeanneAdil replied to TQueue's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
you do not have to notify USCIS of anything , at all, after the oath and you have the certificate in hand if you accept job offer research the tax requirements for both countries to know what is involved We do have tax agreement with Canada but of course the 1st year , you could be filing for both countries and as a USC , u will always file US tax returns the salary you earn, whether company is a US (with office in Canada), and many other factors come into play with taxes For your benefit in the future upon retirement , its always good idea to pay into the US SS system when working outside the US (its under other taxes owed on 1040 form) -
