first the child is a CR2/IR2 visa but the process is the same AOS (as in k1 is not the same) as CR1 ADjustment of status is not done for spouse or child with CR1 we do a affidavit of support at NVC stage /I 864 for each petition and the process is the same (same documents /same evidence of income) depending on age the only difference would be an infant /small child may not need criminal report the important thing now is to get it done ASAP before the fees go up for the petitions /u will not be able to avoid the new NVC fee increases

so far the changes reflect the I 129 f for worker and preminum processing according to USICS and the federal registry https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/uscis-announces-inflation-adjustment-to-premium-processing-fees https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2023/12/28/2023-28529/adjustment-to-premium-processing-fees the fees schedule for other classes is to be ruled on in April so u may be able to AOS before those fees go up /praying for u This fee increases are over a year in process Expect the increase that was proposed in Federal registry 1/4/2023 to be announced in the late spring as approved as only 8000+/_ responded with comments pro and con (out of the over 9 million who petition each year ) reguarding the proposed changes to the january 2023 federal registry https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2023/01/04/2022-27066/us-citizenship-and-immigration-services-fee-schedule-and-changes-to-certain-other-immigratio

You can not work even remotely on the K1 How does USCIS know? u have to file US taxes on income earned in the US and not filing is a IRS problem you don't need issues with either IRS or USCIS

You reached out to Senator. did you sign a release form for Senator to contact embassy? BTW Senator can not do anything except relate to u the last info u received which will say "case forwarded to embassy" Silly question i know but have u checked spam or junk mail? Casa phone times below: Monday - Friday from 8:00 - 17:00 NOTE: ******** Due to work volume, phone inquiries to our staff in Casablanca will be accepted Tuesday and Thursday between 2 pm and 4 pm at (+212) 0522-26-45-50 for all immigrant visa questions. Staff in Casablanca can speak with you in English, French, or Arabic. Ext 4101 for immigrant visa department tues and Thursday meantime Originals of the following are needed USC complete those 2023 tax returns, u may be scheduled after April 15th (need copy of them and any W2's) complete the I 134 which is needed for the interview Copy (only) of US residency like state ID or DL Moroccan get the 2 criminal reports done and have them translated into English (both original and English are needed) Police certificate (fiche anthropometrique) and English translation Court record (casier judiciare) and English translation check the following for all other documents needed for the interview https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/ Saying all this because many do not take all the documents and are put in AP (refused by CEAC site) till embassy receives and reviews (and this takes forever) allah yekbel it also says no interviews during Us and Moroccan holidays but they do interview during Ramadan

Dulles International Airport (IAD)
JeanneAdil replied to Gary Rich's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Coming into Chicago , Adil did not have to pick up his luggage and take it to customs and immigration and recheck it in the luggage was sent all the way to Nashville from Morocco when flying back to US from Ecuador and landing in Miami also i didn't have to pick up bags and recheck them when coming from Peru to us thru Fort Lauderdale, i had to get bags and have them with me to be xrayed and then they were rechecked seems each airport has its own procedures -
Dulles International Airport (IAD)
JeanneAdil replied to Gary Rich's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
I would say no as with any airport it takes at least 20 minutes to taxi in and for customs at IAD ,collect luggage at baggage claim and go thru customs She needs more time At IAD Passengers connecting to another flight will need to re-check their luggage and go through screening by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) https://www.flydulles.com/travel-information/international-arrivals -
Transit Visas in UK After K1?
JeanneAdil replied to Kryssie1067's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
both times the full itinerary was listed as layover but new boarding passes required at the stop and that is not the same as a transit Mine was purchased with debit card and i asked for atlanta to morocco the other was parents of a friend and they were not allowed to board in Maracheck even though full itinerary said layover in paris /the ticket was a 2 parter with new ticket from Paris to US especially when coming from Africa, Europe countries want to make sure the person really boards the place for the US and just not get off to stay permanently in Europe even the luggage has to be picked up and rechecked its so much easier to check luggage all the way to the final destination -
Transit Visas in UK After K1?
JeanneAdil replied to Kryssie1067's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Some depends on how u bought the ticket I had a ticket to Africa but it was boarding passes in 2 parts 1 from US to London go thru customs and border patrol and then go to registration to pick up ticket to Morocco others flying from Moroc to US with ticket to Paris and CBP inspection and pick up ticket to US were not allowed to board plane as essentially they could have just got off in Paris and stayed so, if u can pick up both boarding passes in Nigeria that bypasses the above problem BTW 1 hour and 50 minutes may not be enough time 3 hours is a better plan -
the only real mistake USCIS makes is using the same form for AOS and spouse visa overseas have u checked the remaining fees that will need to be paid? When the case is received by NVC there will be 2 fees(per each I 130) $120 to process the I 864 $325 to process the ds 260 then there are costs for medical exam (not USCIS) after approval of the visa, there is a fee to process the green card $220 AND don't forget the airfare to bring your spouse here

Can she get a residency permit in Columbia to interview there? you need to research this FYI if she can get a residency permit , she should get the criminal reports from Cambodia before she leaves (to any country she may go to to live) and have it translated into English for Immigration purposes later.

Requirements for CBRA read thru and if u qualify, file for the child to be USC https://in.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/birth/reporting-birth-checklist/#:~:text=To qualify for a CRBA,(s) and the child. if u do not qualify, file a I 130 for the child and delay the I 130 by not paying the fees yet for your wife (u can delay only for year at NVC) let the child's I 130 catch up to your wife's Be on top of the NVC process and don't let it go too long

Always good idea to consult an attorney but 1 is not needed to do the petition and reading on here many times the lawyer's office makes mistakes with the petition and u r responsible for it as u sign it. u have to do all the work to gather needed documents thruout this process /all a lawyer does is collect them from u, fill out the petition and mail it they do not attend interview and respresent u after mailing the form u sign/ u r responsible

your wife was denied for misrepresentation by the embassy and case is over there is no NOIR or NOID to follow to be able to respond as she is barred for a US visa Since the elements required for fraud also include the elements for willful misrepresentation, the person is also inadmissible for willful misrepresentation. When making the inadmissibility determination, the officer should keep in mind the severe nature of the penalty for fraud or willful misrepresentation. The person will be barred from admission for the rest of his or her life unless the person qualifies for and is granted a waiver. The officer should examine all facts and circumstances when evaluating inadmissibility for fraud or willful misrepresentation. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-j-chapter-2

You know her family from living there? Have u met her in the past even as children? It is normal in Sierra Leone to have arranged marriage but not for immigration and she is over 18 so she satisfies the law of her country U need more than 1 visit and honestly this process whether K1 or CR1 is not fast it will be about 2 years from petition to interview do not send proof of sending money unless u say its for the Islam bride price as agreed on in marriage certificate (1 time money) otherwise immigration will think the bene (her) uses u (USC) for money chats not needed copy of any boarding passes is better than itinerary as itinerary doesn't show u actually went photos (about 20) of u and her /some with her family (mother is important) to show they approve FYI since children are important to muslim familys having a baby during this process does not increase the chances of a visa also , check the poverty guidelines each year during the process to make sure your income meets the requirements https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p use the drop down box for our 48 states and check in 2025 and 2026 for the new income levels understand that if u try for K1 100% is needed for interview and 125% needed for CR1 /or AOS after US marriage allah yessir
