  1. Hi fam! I recently had my Cr1 visa interview in Frankfurt and I was asked by the consular to provide a document and promised a visa would be issued after this. I did this and I checked the status of my application, it was initially displaying "Refused" for about 3 working days after submitting the required document, just today, it changed to "Ready" and asks me to prepare for my interview as though I never did one. I'm enquiring what this might imply and when likely they'd issue a visa and send my documents. Thanks!
  2. Hey all, My fiancé and I are a bit confused about when exactly we are allowed to schedule the interview for her K-1 visa at the consulate in Frankfurt. We were originally operating under the assumption that she needed to receive P3, send the consulate the requested documents, and then she would be issued/would be able to schedule an interview date after they reviewed the documents. However, I've seen other posts/sources saying that you can go to ustraveldocs and schedule an interview once your CEAC status is "ready" (ours has been since May 27th, it has been updated multiple times since then as well based on the date listed but always shows "ready"). Is this something that is only allowed at other consulates? Is this something only Ukrainians are allowed to do (my fiancé is a German citizen and most of the newer info I see about Frankfurt only pertains to Ukrainian cases)? I've reached out the the consulate for clarification but thought it would be worth posting on here as well. Thanks in advance for any help!
  3. My fiancé and I are putting together the packet to send to the Frankfurt consulate for the K-1 visa interview. As part of it, we are trying to register the document delivery address on US Travel Docs, but following the instructions in P3 and on the US Travel Docs website we are lead to a page where we have to select the visa type and there is no K1 option (New Application/Schedule appointment > Immigrant Visa > Immigrant Visa Delivery Registration). Wondering if others have encountered this and how they resolved it? This is more or less a duplication of this post below but it looks like they never got an answer, wasn't sure if resurrecting that post was the right thing to do or not. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  4. Hi everyone. I recently left Ukraine through Romania and I'm back in my home country (Nigeria). Unfortunately, due to Russian invasion, our Cr1 case was moved from Kyiv to Frankfurt, Germany. Our case is currently complete and waiting to receive a response concerning interview from the US Embassy in Frankfurt. • Getting a Visa to Germany from Nigeria is currently difficult as there are no available dates for interview. • Transferring the case to Nigeria is not a good choice as there aren't available dates until 2024 • I'm enquiring if it is possible I transfer the case to Ghana where I can travel to Visa-free. My only doubt is if I can attend an interview there or any other Visa-free country in Africa without being a resident. • I'm confused as to what to do and I need your advice here. Thank you!
  5. Hi everyone. Please is the current processing time in Nigeria encouraging? My Priority date (CR-1) is 28th of May 2021 and I'm considering transferring my case to Lagos as I may not be able to get Germany tourist visa to go for my interview. Thank you in advance for your advice.
  6. Hello! I have been approved for expedited processing for my k1 fiance visa for my Ukrainian fiance on March 8th(still waiting for decision) and am looking towards the NVC process and later. I have been reading the the designated embassy abroad is Frankfurt, but the wait times just for the medical exam have ballooned to over 2 months. I am desperately looking for an alternative embassy in the Schengen Zone which i could forward our application to with a smaller wait time. I am currently in Poland with her and have a limited time i can stay without a visa. Thank you!
  7. Can they reject your visa application at the interview because of any potential problem with the paperwork? My fiance is stressing about this and I'm trying to tell him to calm down because the paperwork was already looked at and, I think, approved by somebody.
  8. Anyone here scheduled an interview appointment at the consulate in Frankfurt? All the requested documentation have been submitted and accepted in October but I haven't heard anything since. Currently I am stuck in Germany because of the travel ban and I can't travel. Are any of you guys having similar experiences?
  9. Hello All I thought I would make a thread for Germans or applicants whose application is destined for Frankfurt embassy Germany or who have their CASE COMPLETE at NVC and are waiting for an Interview to be scheduled at the US Consulate in Frankfurt! It might make it easy for us to keep in touch and update each other! Both German language and English language is allowed on this thread. Start with stating where you case file is now presently.
  10. We just had our interview at the Frankfurt office and were unfortunately, put on HOLD. Well, it wasn’t approved because of an unusual case. But thankfully, the unsual case can be resolved. Just wondering everyone’s thoughts and/or if someone else has had to go this route. The consular office was very supportive and helpful, so we feel positive about it. Here’s what’s putting our case on hold: My husband’s father was born in the US, but only lived there until the age of 5. Born to German parents who were living in the US at the time. Since my father-in-law has US and German citizenship, we need to prove that my husband is not able to receive citizenship through him. We need a No-Claim to Citizenship letter/notorization from the Consular. He has no claim as his father doesn’t meet requirements to pass it on. But my knowledge isn’t 100% on how this is determined, US gov websites basically tell me no though. Has as anyone else needed to prove they can’t receive citizenship? In the heat of the moment, I never thought to ask, but I have no idea how much this “letter” will cost. And I can’t find any info. Anyone know? Thank you 😊
