billding reacted to Greenbaum in NOA 2 expiration
We are not here to blow smoke up your dress. We are here everyday for years. We know a thing or two because we have seen a thing or two. Your free to ignore our advise but look at how many post each of us have made. I doubt we got there with lying to anyone. Good luck.

Maybe you should email USCIS too. Shouldn't they be the one to extend NOA 2 since they issued the it?
What if the embassy says they'll extend it and then it turns out, it's beyond their power to do so. It seems like you can't trust the embassy too.

Why even bother asking here? The answers you'll get on here are all "as far as I know" knowledge even if the commenters don't explicitly say so. It's based on their experiences, on what other people they know have experienced.
Rules and regulations change all the time. The only way you can be certain is to contact those who make them.
People are only trying to help. Be a little thankful, at least.

Of course it's the truth because you're all-knowing.
*gladly bans myself from responding to his almighty's posts*

That does not apply to the U.S. Embassy in Manila.

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in Affidavit of Support
The I-134, Affidavit of Support, is for the K-1 Visa Interview at the U.S. Embassy. You send it to your fiancé not to the USCIS.
I think that you are confusing the I-134 with the I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA. The I-864 is sent to the USCIS but that is for the Adjustment of Status (AOS).

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in How long to receive passport back after B2 interview?
I received mine two days after the interview. This was last June.
I don't think it is possible to expedite the process but when I was at the U.S. Embassy, those who were approved, myself included, were told that the turnaround time was five days.

Yes, I did.

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in NVC stage question
The information on the website of the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon is different from the usual K-1 process. I think that it would be better if you or your fiancé(e) contacted the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon.
Perhaps there are more pertinent information in the regional forum:
https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/97-middle-east-and-north-africa/.

That was what I thought too!
However, it seems as though the USCIS is asking for other evidence aside from the Letter of Intent to Marry.
I hope that this isn't the "new normal".

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in Letter of Intent for Interview
I think that it should be addressed to the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate since it is for the K-1 Visa Interview.

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in Account Frozen
I'm not sure if the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you or your fiancé(e) will be interviewing at does but I have been able to schedule a visa interview over the phone.
By the way, as far as I know, the validity of your I-129F will be extended if there are no available interview dates before it expires.

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in I-129F: Places You Have Resided looks funny.
I would do it this way:
On Page 4:
Residence 1
50.a. State: MA
50.b. Country: United States
Residence 2
51.a. State: CT
51.b. Country: United States
On Page 8:
Residence 3
51.a. State: CA
51.b. Country: United States
Residence 4
51.a. State: Victoria
51.b. Country: Australia
Residence 5
51.a. Province: Gyeongsangbuk-do
51.b. Country: South Korea

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in I-129F: Places You Have Resided looks funny.
I think that there is.
For example, if one resided in the state of Washington in the United States and in Australia:
Residence 1
50.a. State: WA
50.b. Country: Australia
This may be misunderstood as Western Australia (WA), Australia.

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in do they contact our relatives on the ds-160 form for the k1 fiance visa?
If I remember correctly, it only asks for the names of immediate relatives.

billding reacted to Soon To Be Mrs. T in do they contact our relatives on the ds-160 form for the k1 fiance visa?
Yes, those are what I was referring too.
The DS-160 does not ask for the names of other relatives only immediate relatives (fiancé(e), spouse, child, or sibling). If I remember correctly, it also asks for their immigration status.
