Sorry guy that you missed that all important PDF where I answer that question. Please refer to it if you want your answer. To find a copy you need to be in the NOA2 to NVC to embassy link. The PDF is on the first page. You must of missed the many times that I invited ppl to the thread since they are done here if they have gotten their NOA2.

My girl's birthday is Feb 4th and I sent her flower to her office in the morning and home at night.  She made me promise not to spend more money by sending her flower on Valentine's day.
I reluctantly agreed.. and I was trying to figure out how else to express my adoration to her while she is still in Vietnam and I'm here in Texas..

Well the USCIS just helped me out in a HUGE way... they just texted me to check my  case...

    Approved!!

    NOA1- Oct 22th
    NOA2- Feb 13th

This will make for the best V-Day gift i can give her tomorrow morning when she wakes.

Let's take a deep breath. If you both are a good citizens and have not had problems with the law and you meet all the other requirements then you have nothing to be worry about. I don't know your local laws about your husband hanging out with your son but I hung out with my step-son many times without problems. Sometimes it's best to just stay in one thread and ignore all the static that some others can create.

You have no reason not to keep moving forward. You'll look back on this and wonder why you ever worried this much. Smile

There is no way anyone on VJ can accurately predict when a petition will arrive at a consulate, when an interview will take place, whether/when a visa issued, etc.  There are just too many parameters that go into it.

    Well :
Steve Miller was the architect of the plan and he has said some very alt-right things. He does not belong in the Whitehouse.
Muslims have been disproportionately affected and the numbers of Muslims coming to America has dropped precipitously after the ban was put in place. I am sure some Jews and Christians were caught up in the ban but if one did intended to have a Muslim ban, mission accomplished.

Too bad Saudis are not in that ban, mostly Shia's

Under the proclamation, which will take effect on February 21, the US will suspend the issuance of visas that can lead to permanent residency for nationals of Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar and Nigeria, acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said during a call with reporters on Friday. The visas affected are distinct from non-immigrant visitor visas, which will not be impacted by the ban, Wolf said.
The US government will stop issuing "diversity visas" to nationals of Sudan and Tanzania, Wolf said.

I had to dig this up at Aljazeera to get any kind of real reporting on the new travel ban. Just a fair warning they are still calling this a "Muslim Ban" that is drawn up by "White Nationalists"

DesiJase reacted to qrk in we met only once in real life
Since you met the minimum requirement of meeting at least once in the past 2 years, you may arrange for additional meetings with your US citizen fiancee after she files the I-129 for you. You don't need a proof of another meeting at the moment. First things first. Gather all the documents, read the instructions carefully and file. It's a very very very long process. According to statistics on this site you're looking at 4-5 months before your 1-129 even makes it to the consulate in Jordan and an additional 3-4 months before you get an interview date.. As you can see, it will be many months before the Embassy interview where proof of additional meetings, etc can be submitted. If you're not hopeful you'll be given a visa to visit your US citizen fiancee in the US, you may want to invite your fiancee to come see you again or as suggested above, meet her in a safe country where  you both can get a visa to to see each other. best of luck.

I don’t understand why people always blame the younger generation for all the problems. I am 23 so I guess not a millennial. I actually don’t know what I am considered. I work two overnight jobs at the hospital caring for people. Not because I need to work two jobs, but my mom has taught me since I am young and able bodied do it now before I have kids and life really takes hold. So I have managed to really save in my 401k.

Also, as soon as my now wife came to this country and we married, I made sure she had health insurance. So please stop pointing fingers at the younger generation. Not all of us are lazy and have their hands out looking to the government for help. Some of us actually work and are responsible.

USCIS official processing times give worst case scenario estimates, which is why many members don't trust them and use alternative timeline methods, such as this forum. Realistically what percentage of the population actually wait the 7 months posted on USCIS until NOA2?. It's only fair to expect members to compare themselves to the average, which has been around 100 days for the last few months, and start to get worried when our case is taking significantly longer. I understand that we're told not to do that because each case is unique and we can't do anything about it until the 7-month timeframe elapses anyway, but it's no surprise we're starting to get anxious after 120-130 days. I'm sure you understand.
