  1. Mine also went down by a month, but I think they are doing this for everybody regardless of FO.
  2. One of the questions on the N-400 asks if you've ever been cited by law enforcement. There's a space to provide information about your case. I would definitely keep all evidence showing that you have paid your fine and take it with you to the interview!
  3. I think it does say 10 months for everyone - mine said 16 months at first and then 10 months after they issues the biometrics reuse notice. I'll be shocked if the Minneapolis field office processes cases that quickly - on the egov site it suggests a wait time of ~17 months which seems much more realistic. Fingers crossed though!
  4. Yes, twice now. No issues at all, it was an extremely smooth process.
  5. Took me long enough to gather the last set of documents, but the application is in and now hopefully it's just a waiting game!
  6. Can I ask how much additional evidence everyone is submitting? I have bank statements since we got married in mid-2018, and I can get some joint insurance, leases and our state IDs with the same address. Are people sending in essentially the same amount of evidence as they did for I-751 or a little less? Wondering if I can get away without scanning boarding passes, vet bills, costco membership and gathering photos... @Joyoussinger - I put in five years of travel history even though I'm applying under the three year rule. I was on a student visa for a few years before getting married, so my case is different, but I don't think it hurts to include the time pre-entry. Strange to add birth - US entry as a 'trip' though!
  7. I am in a same sex marriage now, but I was also was an international student with a relatively weak passport (Indian citizen, though I was a student in the US). While I was a US student, I got tourist visas within the US to the UK and EU with no issues, they just wanted to confirm that I was enrolled. One trip was to visit family in the US, the other was to visit a friend who was also an international student in Germany. Obviously there is always the risk of being rejected, but it was a very smooth and easy process. After finishing my US undergrad I also got a B1/B2 for the US (albeit from India) with no issues, though of course I did not have a boyfriend at the time, we met when I came back for grad school a couple of years later. It can be a little scary but you are in a developed country already and presumably following the regulations in Japan that relate to a student visa. I'd apply, worst thing that happens is you get denied and go meet up in Thailand or something instead.
  8. Did you get the receipt notice? The notice when presented with your expired conditional resident card will serve as a valid document for the next two years. It works for border crossings, employment and should work at the DMV.
  9. I become eligible to file on Monday, though I'll probably wait a week or so after to send it in. Final round of dealing with USCIS hopefully!
  10. Yup! 31 days till I can file N400, so I guess the next weekend or two will be spent getting all the supporting evidence together and organized. Planning to submit it about a week after I become eligible.
  11. It doesn't really matter, but remember to file using the correct address! For AoS there is one address for USPS and a different one for Fedex/UPS/DHL etc. I used UPS because I live near a UPS store and USPS closes before I get home from work.
  12. Right, just saying that your I-751 was approved while you had a pending N-400, ie they will not hold up ROC until you get a naturalization interview. As a fellow MSP applicant, your timeline gives me some hope that things will move at a slightly faster pace!
  13. Sure, here you go. It's a long thread, but the last 4-5 pages have a couple of people giving updates on their I think the person I was thinking of specifically was @elmers.
  14. There were a few people on the LIN updates thread who got their I-751s approved shortly after putting in their N-400, so I don't think they are necessarily related.
  15. Those affidavits refer to letters from friends and family stating that you are a genuine couple. They are a pretty weak line of evidence if you have the other things (joint finances/insurance/lease or mortgage/beneficiary on retirement accounts etc) and I think you are safe to skip them. We didn't send any for the initial adjustment of status and had no issues, didn't send any this round either. I'm planning to apply for citizenship in September also.
  16. We drove in to Canada for a mini-vacation to celebrate our anniversary, and just wanted to report that getting in to Canada and back in to the US was a total breeze. Very smooth, no issues at either border. I know folks have reported issues with getting in to Mexico, but the Canadian border patrol seemed very familiar with the document. I filled out the ArriveCAN forms and took my covid vaccine records but they were not asked for at either border.
