Hahahaha.
So far I can safely diagnose you suffer from severe overthinking. 😄
And yeah, they'll sure allow you writing all caps - though your cursive has a je ne sais quoi that makes it charming-.

Thanks! I'll ask if I can use all caps but should be okay either way. Probably shouldn't have too much coffee that morning.

Can read and understand.
Certainly not mesmerized by the artistry, but that's not what's at stake here. 😊

It is not bad! Might not be a beauty but it is perfectly legible.

Here. That's with some practice. I'm using my finger to write on a touch screen, not a pen. I suspect a pen would be better...

If you do get a 12 month ban/rehab, I suggest the two of you to marry and start over with the I-130. You may need to check with the embassy or the medical physician on how to handle the paperwork.
Reason I suggest this is to have the 1 year wait work on your behalf. With a CR1, or IR1 if you wait 2 years after marriage before immigration, you skip the entire Adjustment of Status process. That is, you are an LPR and able to work/drive/travel internationally the day you arrive in the US.
If you stick with the K1, then you need to marry and adjust status after arriving in the US. You cannot work or travel internationally, and in some states cannot drive, until you at least get the EAD and AP card (8+ months) or your GC (16+ months).

Allaboutwaiting reacted to meladee in Marijuana use in the past - medical exam
From the link (the instructions the physician must follow):
"...at this time, applicants who meet criteria for cannabis use disorder with the use of cannabis and/or any of its derivatives, including CBD or THC, are inadmissible and must be in sustained remission in order to be classified as Class B for travel clearance purposes."
"The current version of the DSM defines sustained remission as a period of at least 12 months during which no substance use or mental disorder-associated behaviors have occurred..."
"For substance use disorders – including those for non-controlled substances, such as alcohol – the determination of remission must be made based on applicant’s substance use and DSM criteria. There must be no use of the substance in question other than indicated medical treatment, and at least 12 months during which the applicant does not meet any of the criteria for a substance use disorder, with the exception of craving."

Allaboutwaiting got a reaction from mepck in Got Greened after 5 years of immigration journey
Crazy.
We started in 2017 with the K1, been married for five years and all we have is an expired GC, an extension letter and no end in sight.
The system is horribly flawed.

Allaboutwaiting reacted to Claire B in RFE AFTER APPROVAL
Thank you so much. I am not worried once it arrives at NVC and the embassy will allow me to expedite. It’s USCIS that I have concerns with. I also have the local congressman calling them today so hope we get somewhere fast!

Allaboutwaiting got a reaction from Dashinka in I-485 and RFE Received - Questions
They require two things from you:
1. Evidence that the marriage was in good faith.
Financial commingling documents: bank account statements, shared bills, 401k, life insurance, etc. Shared residence documents: ID's or mail with same address, lease or deed, etc. Shared plans documents: will, power of attorney, health care directive, etc. Shared life documents: boarding passes from trips, cards from family, photographs together, etc. 2. Evidence that the petitioner -you- is a US citizen or an LPR.
Copy of passport or citizenship certificate if US citizen Copy of green card if LPR

Allaboutwaiting reacted to Claire B in RFE AFTER APPROVAL
Hi. They asked for an entire page of the I-129f! I know it was sent originally and they would most definitely not approved it in the first place with a page missing. I’ve sent them it back and they received it on the 5th. I’m going to be contacting them today. All I need them to do is send it quick to NVC and we should just make the timeframe. If they sit on it for another 83 days it’s over. Trying to stay positive and thank you for checking up on me

That is good, he should certainly not cancel his one, he should have received a receipt however.
Just go with whichever comes first.
