Howins reacted to S&J_ in K1 medical summary query
Do you mean the Patient Summary Care record? They should just be able to print it at the reception desk for you, I didn't have to see the doctor. Should have subheadings on it (can't remember what they are called now), things like previous conditions, current medications, etc. Your personal details at the top.

Howins got a reaction from Brklyn Belle in MAY 2019 K-1 NOA2 ----> NVC
Hi all -- NOA2 14 May here. The NVC received our case on 6 June (I received an email notification), and I've just got off the phone with them now -- we have our case number. I think that'll put us on the 25 June shipment, so I'm off to schedule my medical!
As always, good luck everyone.

Can you schedule your medical after you have your case number? Even before the status turn ready?

If the case number is assigned next week you should no have a problem with being on the shipment 6-25

The information in red is for CR-1 applicants. You received it because your file (it's tagged that way in the system) is being treated as a "immigrant" status but it is really "non-immigrate with intent to immigrate". So it's ok to ignore it because a K-1 does not submit to NVC but to an embassy.

Howins reacted to Wuozopo in Updated letter to affirm desire to marry
Your approved petition is dated to be good for four months after NOA2. You only need the letter for London if you don't interview before it expires. See their official list of what to bring to the K1 interview in London
https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/
Petition Affirmation Letter (if applicable)
If your petition expires before the visa interview takes place, you are required to bring to your interview a signed letter from your petitioner confirming that you both remain legally free to marry and that you will marry within 90 days of your arrival in the United States. _____________ While you're over-preparing, also note on London's list that they do not want a copy of your petition package, the NOA1 or NOA2, proof of your relationship, photo albums, receipts, love letter, etc. I promise you they won't look at those things. Your fiancé needs to,prepare for the medical exam. Get police certificate, shots sorted and the Health Care Summary from her GP. The NHS can be really slow providing things so start now. http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us-bring.htm

You can have it in your arsenal but they won't ask for it

Howins reacted to Ben&Zian in Updated letter to affirm desire to marry
It literally can be same exact one you sent in the I-129f petition just with updated date. Just address it to the proper visa unit at that London embassy instead of USCIS as the original letter should have been labeled.
Our's was just "I _____________, intend to marry _______________ within 90 days of arrival in the US on their K-1 visa".

Howins reacted to Shiran in January 2019 I-129F (K1) Filers
Don't be. They are just looking at very factual thing. All we sent for 129F are baggage tags with my names and destination on it and passport stamps, and just a few pictures. I lost boarding passes in an unfortunate laundry accident and panicked as well, but it seems combination of passport stamps and checked in luggage tags was sufficient. I think if your disney tickets show name and date, as passport stamps are clear enough to show dates, it should be good. Hope you hear something good soon!

Howins reacted to Shiran in January 2019 I-129F (K1) Filers
Do park entrance tickets show the date? Understand they are not so much looking for "have you ever met?" but WHEN did you meet. Pictures with dates written on them is not a proof. Itirenary is not a proof. Passport stamps are better. Boarding passes/baggage tags are better. If Disney tickets show name and date including the year, they should be good.

Howins got a reaction from Shiran in January 2019 I-129F (K1) Filers
Hi there - thank you for the help. Yes, the tickets had our names and the date we went into the park on them. We tried to hunt out any kind of documentation that referenced an official date and our names on from the last two years. We didn't have much, but we had a few things like the Disney tickets -- and we also sent copies of passport stamps against. We tried to follow what the RFE requested exactly, which is why we also sent the affidavits and more photographs of us from the last two years.
I'm just kicking myself that I didn't document things more! I didn't really think about having to prove the validity of our relationship to this extent -- and now I'm just mad at myself about all those opportunities where I could have gathered some more evidence over the last couple of years!

Got my approval in the mail today. NOA1 was 1/28/19. NOA2 is dated 4/27/19. Website isn't updated yet.

Howins reacted to Greenbaum in January 2019 I-129F (K1) Filers
This is a reoccurring theme from USCIS. Don't know why but many applicants get an RFE for more proof. In my understanding of what most have sent they should not have asked for more as what the included in the I-129f application was more then enough.
But, THEY HAVE THE GOLD AND THEY GET TO MAKE THE RULES.
So, what to do? Make copies of everything you sent the first time, add more items that can demonstrate that the two of you had met within the required timeline and you're good to go. BTW, if your friends met him, letters from them can sometimes be good evidence. Any receipts with both your names will also show that you met. Any Credit Card charges or ATM withdrawals can also be another piece of evidence. Further explanation and examples of evidence can be found in this link.

Ok. Now pick yourself up and dust yourself off. This is such an easy fix.

Don't let it shake you up, one good thing is that you know with 100% certainty they are working your case. Should not be to long now you just have to pick your face up off the ground and keep on keeping on...you'll be fine and approved in no time.
