Hello to everyone , I think the wait for IL is getting frustrating ,I can see many others which includes myself with a late April and early May CC still waiting for IL .Especially for the US Consulates in Africa . let's keep our hopes high that The Almighty God Himself will start something today to keep others calm, Enjoy your Day.

Im just having a complete breakdown right now.. bawling my eyes out since early this morning.  I think with all the stress of immigration and a good friend of the family passing away at age 41 from lung cancer .. I'm a mess today.. it makes you think about your own family. He was diagnosed 6 months ago and now is gone. Please God in heaven bring my kids daddy home. We are not promised tomorrow that's is one thing I know.. and for him to pass away leaving to little kids makes me want my husband here even more. Sorry for the rant.   Just emotionally drained.

@sj0509 @CJO032418Re-entry is actually more a function of Customs and Borders Patrol (CBP) and in one of their manuals (link below, Page 32 and other sections as well). Here's what it says:
 
"-Immigrant Visa-
An immigrant visa is issued by the Department of State and will be affixed inside the passport of the immigrant. Once an immigrant has been admitted to the United States the immigrant visa becomes a re-entry document, valid for one year from the endorsement date. The statement “UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR” will be printed in the body of the visa directly above the machine-readable zone. This documentation is acceptable for travel and employment and is intended to replace the ADIT stamp."

I'm praying for the IL today/tomorrow. My wedding anniversary is on Saturday so this will be a great gift for both of us! Been over a month now waiting for good news.

Let's hope it is the start of the expected floodgate of interviews. After 60 days of waiting, it will be nice to receive that letter today.

will only be sent automatically if you checked the box in your DS260... else, you can go apply with the stamp on your passport. they will honor it.

Hi All,
 
Just wanted to inform everyone that my wife has finally made it to the US today, 11th June. Visa approved from Mumbai consulate, 31st May. 
 
Thank you everyone for your help along this long (sometimes frustrating) journey, and wishing the best of luck to those waiting for their interviews now.
 
Immigration was quite easy - asked her basic questions, like how long have you been married etc. The only hiccup was that with the new "IV docs in CCD" stamp on the visa, there's no physical envelope to be handed over to the Immigration officer, and he was a little confused with that, so they took her to another room inside, and there once he had confirmation from another officer, they stamped her passport. 
 

yup i do, however. i believe that there is a serious disconnect. like i get how they do it but they should also be able to give us information regarding the place in line. ok so you have 20 people in front of you or something to help us ease the tension and frustration of the process. and unfortunately its the NVC who has the line for customer service, so the question goes to them. 

Wow the fact they get to disconnect calls like that is beyond me . That’s customer service 101 and a big no no . Where is quality assurance reps and auditors when you need them lol
