Has anyone gotten new interview appointment letters after the uscis offices re-opened?
I don't think any of February filers had their interviews scheduled. It usually takes longer than that. If you look at January thread you will see that they are getting their EADs approved only now. So I'm afraid the interview stage is still a long way ahead for us.

What is the old website? I'm checking from uscis.gov

Holy mackerel! I was getting really worried about my case status not updating after I did biometrics on March 17. Today I checked the old website, which I thought was no longer updated, and voila! Fingerprints taken, ready to be scheduled for an interview both for me and my daughter. Honestly, if I could dance, I would So, it's a good idea to check both my.uscis.gov and egov.uscis.gov

My husband did his biometrics March 17th - literally the day before everything closed in CA.
We are in the same boat. I also did biometrics the day before the offices closed in TN. No update since the status still says "Your case was received". Sometimes I think the whole process is meant to make us the most patient people in the world hope both of us will see some progress going on soon!

Hello everyone,
did my biometrics just before the offices closed (3/17). The status is still "We've received your case". Is it time to worry yet? 🙄 -
Did biometrics a week ago on 3/17 (lucky me). Still no update on the case status from USCIS. How long does it usually take?

Same here! And Everytime we reach out they aren't able to tell us anything
What if your foreign passport still has your maiden name in it? Does it need to be changed before that?
Just bring your marriage license with you.
-
Did biometrics today in Bartlett, TN. If you changed your name after marriage, bring your marriage license with you. Luckily I had a picture of it in my phone. Ugh. Had to wait outside for about half an hour. They won’t let you in earlier than 15 minutes before your appointment. The whole thing took about 40 minutes

Biometrics appointment is scheduled for 3/17, woohoo! The package was sent on 2/15
-
Hi everyone, sent my package on 2/15. Last night I received 3 text messages from USCIS confirming they received it. Woohoo! Waiting for NOA1 now. Good luck everyone!

This information should contain a caveat that this is for the Embassy at Belarus and not necessary true for all other embassies. The difference between your situation and the OP's is that you are picking up at the embassy where as the OP is asking about offsite requirement that the embassy has promulgated that she/he use to secure their visa from a 3rd party.
The OP? Hang on, it was me who asked this question, so I am the OP, right? and I also posted it in the regional subforum with corresponding tags, so it won't mislead anyone I hope.

The question I want to ask is more for a regional subforum, but I didn't get an answer there. It looks like there are no active VJ members from Belarus here atm. So, all my hope lies with @Greenbaum the almighty
I saw this when choosing delivery options: Please note that to collect your passport at one of the TNT office or from the courier, you must present an original, government-issued photo ID.
The problem is that the only government-issued photo ID I've got is my passport. Has anyone had to deal with this problem? Is there a way to pick up a passport without an original, government-issued photo ID?
As long as it's a knowledge-based forum, I'm going to answer my own question. I sent an email to the embassy, and that's what they replied:
K1 and K2 vis applicants receive their passports with visas at the embassy. You do not need to present your government-issued photo ID.
Hope it will help somebody in the future.

I will answer my own question. The email from the embassy said the following:
K1 and K2 vis applicants receive their passports with visas at the embassy. You do not need to present your government-issued photo ID.

Thank you. I already sent an email to them two days ago. Will post whatever they respond

Belarus doesn't offer something similar? If so, I would get one in a hurry.
No, we have only one passport which is used both as an internal ID and a document for travel

Thanks, we've saved the application many times. Used Chrome and Firefox. Nothing changed. ...I'm thinking of having my fiance carry the past phone numbers and email to the interview to provide in case they ask.
I'm about to do the same. I bet it won't be a problem. After all, it's a bug in the form on their website.

I wonder if they will accept a copy of your passport??? ...might be a dumb suggestion, at least it would match your ID that you are picking up. I actually have the same question. I didn't search for an answer yet though.
I guess they will have no other option. I think I will send them an email to make sure a copy will be enough. I've got plan B though. My fiance is coming to the interview with me, so I can give him a copy of my passport, write a letter that will authorize him to pick up my passport - and we'll be good to go.

You should have your Belarus passport, no?
No. I will need a photo ID to pick up my passport with a visa.

Sorry, I wasn't thinking about that specific issue. Now I understand your dilemma. Is there an ID that you can get from a governmental agency within your country? Say a student ID, a postal id, a drivers license, a voter picture ID or maybe some other picture ID? I'm not familiar with what is available from your country
Not really..to get a drivers license takes 3-4 months, and I'm not a student. No other picture IDs are ever issued here😕

A passport is a government issued photo ID and can be used for this purpose unless otherwise stated
Right, but how can I present it to them if I need an original government-issued photo ID to PICK UP my passport?
