Email from NVC that gives me my case number. I have had my case number for a while now but I needed the email in order to go do our medical appointment. 

Finally got my email from the NVC. Hoping that means my case will be sent out tomorrow!

I have our case number and still waiting for it to be shipped. Haven’t received an email or anything from the NVC which is needed for our medical. Anyone know when I’d recieve this?

Do wait for CEAC status to show READY   before scheduling.    Being you have your MNL# already the case file arriving at the embassy usually is close behind.

 

Follow the guide in the link I gave you earlier it may be helpful for you to get everything done in short order.

I called the embassy. I can pay for the visa now.($265) Payment is good for one year she told me. She advised me that I should wait for the eligibility letter and status ready to make the interview appointment.

Thank you guys. And I know there isn’t a ds fee. I meant the fee for the visa. 

And I know that interviews in Manila are about a month out. I just don’t want to have to wait too long. But I also don’t want any issues with the embassy if I’m not supposed to book an interview before it arrives at the embassy

Yes I have the mnl number. Im only curious because my fiancé was going to go pay the fee tomorrow at bpi

Is it possible to schedule the interview before your status says ready on ceac? Our case is still at NVC. We have already completed the DS160. And was planning to pay visa fee tomorrow.

According to SLEC u can also use your visa appointment confirmation as well. Check their website for all other documentation u will need

I met my fiancé when he was on his J1. Everything was fine and we were approved. I think it’s better because you physically spent much more time getting to know each other. Send plenty of proof. Which was easy for us because we had so much time together. Good luck.

NOA2- Oct 26. More waiting now. Thankfully not as much though. 

I just talked to an agent on the phone. She just said that my case was still active and is within normal processing time. Ugh!!
