Yea we figured it out. She decoded the receipt number , it was her date of birth, then date paid, then the time paid.
I would of never seen that.
What happen was she had to go get hee internal passport to get the western union transfer i sent and not the actual deposit.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all your input. I have an interview scheduled for August 20th. So hopefully all goes well. There’s also a holiday that following Monday I believe, so yeah there can be unexpected delays. Anyway, thanks guys.

We booked a flight 20 days after interview.
I think 10 days is pretty safe.
It took 7 days to get my visa (including weekend and 1 day of national holiday), so it was like 4 working days.

    Hi guys!
They opened June and July so you can reschedule now. I kinda felt that would happen, cause they never opened July
    Good luck:)

Why am I not shocked?  And right after I booked my flight, etc.

I am stuck with August now.  And all because the embassy couldn't be more efficient and get calendars opened promptly.  I don't dare tell my fiancee but this is ridiculous.  Really.

What you are looking for is form DS-3025. During your visit to Medicom you need to very explicitly tell them "I am K-1 applicant, and I want to be voluntarily vaccinated for the missing shots." Then make sure they check correct box at the bottom of form DS-3025. If you don't, they will check the box 'K-1 applicant refused vaccinations since they are not required" which might create issues for you later in US when dealing with AOS.

Please spare us the bikini pictures, we believe you🤣🤣

On the other hand, thank you for taking the dive for the rest of us and ensuring some openings in July now!!! In all seriousness, I'm not even really looking for an earlier interview. What we have booked with still work with the timeline we were hoping for marriage, and to stress out 3 times a day checking for an opening that probably never will come ain't worth it. If something falls in my lap we would of course take it, but I ain't really looking nor expecting.

Looks like we will both be getting our good news a day apart!!

Ok, I did it.  I just pulled the trigger.  I found a halfway decent fare for a round trip to Kiev for the embassy interview.  I was thinking I had a better chance of looking hot in a bikini than I did scoring an earlier embassy interview so I have my flight locked in.  This means I ain't changin' even if something were to open up at the embassy.

This may bode well for the rest of you.  Now that I have locked myself into an airplane reservation, I think there's a pretty decent chance June and July appointments will start opening up like a Catholic in a confessional.  It's the story of my life.  So keep your eyes open but don't tell me about it if you're successful.  🙉🙉🙉

A friend of mine (who's wife is a K1 through Kyiv) talked to a Consular Public Liaison Officer yesterday and he said there are indeed interviews in June and July, but they are full purely do to increased demand. Take that for what it is worth, but it is the best info we have so far. CPL said only hope for an earlier appointment would be through a cancellation as there won't be anymore interviews opening in June or July.

In regards to Sept and Oct, this sounds correct as they probably haven't opened that calendar yet for scheduling.

Edit: He also told me do not mention what I did (scheduling the interview without receiving email from embassy) or they will cancel it. Said show up with interview confirmation and all documents for interview and will be good to go. They don't have anything that will automatically cancel my interview.

The "hurry up & wait" is frustrating, but again, use the extra time to your fullest benefit.  Not only collect the vital personal documents as suggested before, but also renew her passport before the visa goes in it (a passport with a long expiration date can be a true boon), and make plans for what you want to happen after U.S. arrival -- schooling, travel, etc.  This enables  both of you to hit the ground running.

Added thought:  If she has a driver's license, get it renewed for the longest period possible.  If she doesn't have one but has the faintest opportunity to learn to drive between now and the interview, seize it.  A fresh driver's license is even more valuable than a long-valid passport.

We have assembled all documents already.  I even have my I-134 now (the last that had to be put together).  She got a fresh biometric passport in February that's good for 10 years.  We're already planning for when she arrives (got several things set up already) but that doesn't take 2+ months.

She has no driver's license and has never driven in her life.  She won't be getting one before our arrival.  I have to warm her up to driving over time.  MA drivers kill the weak and eat the wounded so this may not be an activity until after we relocate to the much calmer northern New England (among our future plans).

I'm retiring in a countable number of years.  She has no plans to work.  We're beyond the 'schooling' part of our lives (which is why the 'hurry up and wait' nonsense is even more frustrating... we ain't gettin' any younger).

Bottom line is we are just waiting and really for no good reason.  I think there's something irregular going on over there at the embassy... I just don't know what it is.  And if history is any indicator (when it comes to my experience with this visa process), dollars to donuts suddenly Kiev will be accommodating interviews in 1-3 weeks again ONE DAY after my fiancee arrives in America.

Happy to see my prediction came true. It should arrive Friday, and Monday next week it should be fully hatched and ready. You probably will see status change from "In Transit" to "Ready" as soon as tomorrow, but case won't physically get there yet. Keep checking for dates, and, once you pay the visa fee, I wouldn't hesitate of actually calling Embassy and scheduling over the phone. Did you have your medical already?

Did  your petition left NVC yet? If it hasn't, chances are good it will leave tomorrow, if it does, you should be able to pay fee if you hasn't yet, and I am guessing you did your DS-160 already, and book it. It is not a big deal to cancel/change it.

you need to wait until you get a notification that the embassy has received your petition from NVC, it can take a few weeks depending on the shipment once the NVC portion is complete. I wouldnt be surprised at the availability date though being in June. most likely by the time they have everything ready it will be in July for your to be able to schedule your interview

Shipments are every two weeks on Tuesdays its simple to keep track of, so two weeks from May 28th is the next one (after this next one on the 28th). I know that because I read the threads and I have kept track!

It seems this happened to our case. I called on Friday and they told me they haven't received our petition yet.
I called again on Monday and I got a case number. I later checked when it was assigned and it happened on Friday. So I guess they received it later on Friday and assigned a case number same day.
