Yes. All accepted. Received 2 emails, the 2nd one is that NVC will work on schedule interview now, and will advise the date.
  2. Thanks

I came across this long time ago. But reading it in detail right now it seems it is only meant to discourage frivolous filings. Meaning if you are missing multiple things or something very important. It goes on to mention innocent mistakes are okay. Also it is completely upto the adjudicator.

I would say as long as you submitted everything from the checklist here:
    https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-130instr.pdf?download=1

you should be fine. Nowhere here lists wedding pictures, phone call logs etc. these will not prove a bonafide marriage. Yes you can/should/must take these to interview as they will be of high importance. But uscis doesn’t ask for such things and will not deny your case if you didn’t send these additional things. Yes if the adjudicator is almost certain but want just that lil more proof I think he will issue an RFE for additional evidence regardless of the article above.

I agree that people need to relax. I've seen in a few threads now people making inquiries WAY before they should. USCIS tells us approximately how long it is going to be and they give us the date on which we can start inquiring. It's not much information, nor is it super accurate, but that is how USCIS has decided it works and we have to live with that. Do I wish I could be approved faster? Of course, everyone here does. But inquiring before that date just takes USCIS's/their congressman's time away from people that have legitimate problems (or are legitimately outside of normal processing) and makes it harder for them to get help.

I know a lot of people are reaching out because of the increase in wait times, and I agree that it sucks, but not a single part of this process is fair. Is it fair that Potomac is processing MUCH faster than the other service centers? No. Is it fair that Texas is processing much faster than Nebraska? No. Is it fair that people are still getting their cases sent to Nebraska even though they are clearly behind? No. Is it fair that wait times are getting longer and USCIS doesn't seem to care about it at all? No. I could keep going but the fact is this is something we all signed up for, fair or not, because we want to be with our spouses no matter what and this wait is unfortunately part of that "no matter what".

So maybe this wait time has just made me cranky, but people need to stop making inquiries/contacting congressmen before they are out of normal processing, because even though one petition is a tiny drop in the millions of petitions they get, every petition that is approved because someone complained and got lucky makes the process even less fair for everyone else.

Oh...you can’t even imagine the circles I went in today with uscis. First off, your phone steps worked perfectly. I got transferred to tier 2 officer he asked me for a fax number. I wasn’t at the office and I don’t know my work fax, my secretary does all that ugh! Then, he tells me to call back with fax and they will send it over. I asked him to please at least tell me what the RFE is requesting and he told me...he said they want a certified copy of the divorce decree for my husband and his ex from Argentina. They even tell you what’s it’s called in their country and where to get it and what it should have on it. The one we sent them was not like that and I had a hunch we were going to have issues. Well, hubby is getting it tomorrow and sending to me DHL. So I can have it translated and sent off. And to think, today is our 1 year anniversary...thank you amapru..you can’t begin to imagine how much help you’ve been in this group. I truly wish your day comes very soon!!!

Call ‭(800) 375-5283‬. In case you’ve never called them before and talked to a person, follow the prompts, press 3 right after they start reading your current online status. From there you might have to request Tier 2 assistance.

if they have messed up your address change then ask them to correct it, send new notice to correct address and possibly tell you RFE details over phone since they made an error so you can work on RFE till notice arrives.

I feel you. We're in 2019, there is NO explicable reason that we're still doing paper petitions. It should already be computerised and petitions should automatically go to the service center that has the most capacity to handle it, and then worked through in a chronological order. Makes no sense at all. USCIS needs a major overhaul.

Gave them a call, obviously didn’t get a good answer. “Oh it’s ok if it’s like it, everything is good with the case”. Tier 2 people are worse than Tier 1? Always less info than Tier 1s and such heavy accents? Looks like uscis is doing this on the cheap.

I know right!! I will definitely let you guys know. You were the first (other than hubby) that I let know. We are all in this nightmare together. And even though I’ve broken down so many times over this, this group has somehow managed to lift my spirits when I needed it the most.

I just hope and pray it’s something simple. We had a really hard time obtaining certified documents from Argentina. They were very slow. Who was it from our group that recently got an RFE for intial evidence? I don’t remember.

Yes, there do seem to be an awful lot of these! There was also a huge gap between beginning of July and mid-July. Cases just stopped being approved for like a month or so. Wonder what's going on..

And honestly, most of the 'easy mistakes' that I've seen have always been from cases with lawyers! Wth!

Initial is something you should have submitted with your packet when you sent it, should be something from the list in their I-130 form directions. Additional is when they want more proof on top of what you sent them.

Nothing to worry about. We are all in the same boat, no communication since NOA1. However, you should expect to hear something within the next couple weeks. They are almost working on your date slice. Stay patient.

After a lot of obsessing last night, I was thinking that maybe the change in processing times applies to more recent filers. All of us Aug peeps are probably still within the previous processing times and from what I’m seeing, they are touching Aug now. Please please please is all I keep saying!!

I saw an approval for Aug 6 and 1 for Aug 9 through the uscis app search. Just a couple but it tells you that’s where they are at. Hopefully more August ones pick up throughout March so us September people can be hopeful for April. I have given up hope for any September approvals in March.

Consular Officers don't care about your tax filing status during the interview.  Follow your tax advisor's advice or just do it on your own.  Note that using the separate status and NRA in the SS# space requires filing by mail instead of electronically.  Otherwise it is probably the most straight forward option for most people.

I filed "Married filing Separately" for 2015 and 2016. We filed the I-130 in April 2016.  Our case had no issues regarding that anywhere along the journey.
