CBP will reject the packet and send it back to you, your check will be in the packet. Your choices are to 
1. Wait it out , a couple of weeks at most, do nothing 
2. Put stop payment on check and wait or prepare new filing 
3. Do a new I-824 w new check and send to right address now
 
WHY is there a need for I-824….what happened?

You are very lucky to have received the RFE on the unrelated issue and given an opportunity to correct the that mistake now before approval. It has saved you hundreds of $$ and a long delay had it been approved with both selection. 
Just respond to RFE and state it was an Unintentional Typo/ error and update correct info is consular post xyz. 
The frequency this “error “ is popping up is seriously on the rise and one unfortunate poster is now stuck waiting out another dreaded year of separation for the I-824 exactly for the same reason. She described a glitch in the USCIS form that made it seem as if both entries were required to proceed to next question..
I believe she is right..
The Ombudsman ordered USCIS to update I-130 instructions to clearly state only one option can be marked, BUT they are NOT acknowledging USCIS faulty /glitch or possible error.
 

Provide a statement indicating the beneficiary will appear for a visa interview. Also provide that specific page of the i130 with all sections properly filled out.

Got my DQ Today. Resubmit july 19, and was on supervisor review. And on August 17, i realized that forgot to submit another document-w2 form. And resubmitted on the same day.i thought it would take another 3 weeks if not more, but luckily today everything  was  accepted. I hope Embassy process will be faster, i was here on NVC since May. It takes upto three weeks to review the docs, if NVC finds some mistake or need more documents it will Let u know. If everything is alright, then u will get case complete. For some people its taking less than 3 week, for some more. Good luck!

Guys, for how long should i wait for supervisior review? It was my initial submission, its over than 3 weeks, still waiting((( 
when i asked customer representative, he said it takes up to 6 weeks for supervisors review((((( 

So i submitted all of the documents on June 25, so today it hits 3 weeks mark. I called nvc to ask what happened that i did not hear anything yet, they said, i should wait till midnight, and if still i dont hear anything, i must call them tomorrow, so they will talk to the supervisor to speed up.

Some people have to submit by mail. Whats your country code?
It took me about 2 weeks. But others have had better luck.

So finally today(05/21/19) we made payments on ceac with my lawyer. Now again the waiting comes. Wish it became paid within a day.

So today we got our appointment for June 13th. Glad it was quick! Thanks for your replies.

yeah, my visa journey timeline is telling me to expect approval between august 4-11, me and my husband filled on august 27, we thought that as this point I would be getting ready to leave, now we don't even know if we will be together for christmas, I just hope we all get our approvals soon
