  1. So I just had my medical yesterday and went really well.  I’ve got my interview in three weeks and I’m just getting the last few things together.

When I booked the appointment online i selected to pick it up from the closest depot because im not home enough in the middle of the day to make sure im there to sign for it and even if I didn’t need to sign for it someone would have to buzz them into the building.  So i selected to pick it up but my worry is that I wont have photo ID to pick it up as my passport will be in the package. Do I need photo ID to pick it up or is there anything else i can bring to pick it up?

Well, you're very much due for a tetanus. Possibly an MMR (my husband's GP gave him both doses even though he had a history of mumps as an early adult). And as for flu it will depend on if your Knightsbridge appointment happens before or after March 31.

Its 21st of march, i work at a supermarket with a pharmacy,  if i got a flu shot there would they give me paper work to prove i got it to present at knightsbridge?

You probably didn't get a varicella shot because the U.K. does not immunize for that. If you had chickenpox tell them and make sure your form is ticked Varicella History under the Varicella listing. Then the shot is waived and you never get it.

Flu shot would have had to be this winter to count. There is a new mix every year.

The rest you listed are not given to adults so are waived as not age appropriate.

Don't get random shots you don't need. Post a photo of your record if in doubt.

Thats really helpful information! Like top stuff.  I’ve uploaded my vaccination record, with sensitive information cropped out.  What would you say I need if any?

Sorry to tag onto this thread - how late is too late to get the jabs (do you need to have had them for a certain number of weeks before the medical?)? And is it possible to have then too early (would 3-4 months before the medical be ok?)?

Not completely sure but I believe as long as its before the appointment that they should accept them.  Anyone else able to back this up?

Knightsbridge will tell you K1s don't need to get them before the visa (true). But they fail to tell you it could cost your hundreds or dollars if they don't get marked as completed by the Panel Physician at the visa medical. Anything after by your GP will have to be signed off by a Civil Surgeon in the US. The USCIS will not accept a shot record from your GP. You have to go through a designated Civil Surgeon using form I693.  Pay for the shots and get it over with. Which ones do you need?

    To be honest not completely sure because obviously I have had my shots as a child and its hard to decipher what i have and haven’t got.  I have a feeling I’ve got a fair few to get. I believe all of these;

    • Hepatitis A
    • Hepatitis B
    • Rotavirus
    • Meningococcal disease
    • Varicella
    • Pneumococcal disease
    • Seasonal influenza

Got a Boots nearby? You can get your vaccines there. Take the proof to Knightsbridge.

    Your other options:

    1) Get them done at Knightsbridge - but it's going to cost you a lot.

    2) Get them done after Knightsbridge - either at your doctor or Boots. You'll need to keep proof of all that and make sure to take it with you to the US. After marriage you must file for adjustment of status. Normally vaccinations already completed would be marked on the DS3025 Knightsbridge will give you to keep and you'd provide a photocopy of that with your AOS. However in this scenario you wouldn't have completed them and must go to a US Civil Surgeon in the US to recertify your vaccinations on a I-693 (only the vaccination portion is required for a K1, follow the instructions carefully). Of course this option will also cost a lot.. and many people have trouble finding a US Civil Surgeon to do the vaccination portion only. There is a list on VJ that can help, and you may need to call around.

    3) Get them done in the US. You can get them done at any local pharmacy, Walmart, a doctor, minute clinic.. and the US Civil Surgeon themselves. However this will also cost a significant amount, and everything from option 2 still applies.

This is why we recommend getting the vaccinations done before Knightsbridge for time and cost effectiveness.

Ive got a boots that does vaccines in town... but until just now I didn’t know they did vaccinations cheers for the info

  7. I have booked my medical but have possibly left it too late to get my vaccines done before it.  I just went into my GP surgery to talk about it and they said it was possible but unlikely that they'll be able to get them done in time.  If they did it after my medical and before I left for the states how could I get my vaccinations certified that they took place for my AOS?

    Thanks in advanced.

Congrats that's so exciting!! :D (I'd probably block the names out of the doc too just to be safe though)
Was the estimate on your timeline pretty accurate? I'm hoping for an earlier date after all the unnecessary delays my fiance and I have had, but I also know we pretty much gave up our spot in line each time (my signature has the details 🤣)

I mean last I checked on my timeline it said from the 10th of January to the 18th of January something like that, so reasonably accurate but when i first filled my timeline in it said from the 2nd of February to the 9th of February.  So to me we’ve been way ahead of schedule 😂

Hi! I also applied on August 1st but I haven’t received the receipt from the petition or a letter with my case number... is that normal? does it take this many months, or was I supposed to get that a couple of weeks after applying for I-129F?

You should have received an noa 1 a week or two after sending your package off.  You should check that they’ve taken your filing fee first.  If they have your NOA 1 will have gotten lost somewhere, if not for some reason they never accepted your application and you’ll need to refile.

I’m curious, would USCIS consider Tinder as IMB?😅 I believe my fiance mentioned that we “initially” started talking in Tinder.🙊 But a few weeks later, he came to visit  my country for a famous festival and we met and hung out and eventually started dating and here we are! Hoping we dont get RFE’s for    IMBRA issues!

We’re in the same boat as you, me and my fiancé met on plenty of fish and started talking and ai eventually went out to meet her.  Here’s hoping it doesn’t become an issue 🤞🤞🤞
