Hi everyone!
I thought to check my case status today and it updated April 3rd to say "My new card is being produced". We haven't had an interview so I was very surprised but super happy to see it! I was pending to apply for n400 but this came before I had the chance to do it. I hope more people get their interview skipped and get their cards soon .
I-751 filed Oct 2021.

Hi everyone, not sure if we got really lucky but I had my biometrics appointment this week. Just a month after NOA1, we filed October 12.
Anyone else with Chicago field office with similar experiences?

How many Parents would pay the cost? Mine certainly would not have, not that I would have ever asked them to.
More than you would think.

Have you tried the passport tracker?
Also I'd check with the courier to see if they already have it and the notification just didn't get to you. I remember being told that if I didnt pick my passport up after a window of time, that it would be sent back to the embassy, so I'd give them a call asap.
-
Don't worry, I was told my medical results will be sent electronically to the embassy. They did not ask for the envelope during my interview and everything went smoothly. I imagine this is something new they are doing to reduce paperwork.

We got Issued status today! Three days after being approved at interview. Embassy was closed for Thanksgiving yesterday so I didn't expect to get Issued status this fast. I can't believe we get to spend the holidays together and welcome the new decade. This has been such a long, exhausting journey. So incredibly thankful for the wealth of information and community in this website. It'll be your turn soon enough, it's almost over and you'll get to be with your loved ones 😊😊😊😊

we just had our interview this morning.
they asked my wife where she works, how we met, and why we got married in copenhagen.
they asked me where i live, how i met my wife, if i work, when we will travel to america, and where we will live in america when we get there.
we offered to show additional evidence that we had compiled but they only asked to see some pictures of us together.
they kept her passport and said that everything looks good with our case but that they still haven’t received her medical report yet from the clinic so they can’t fully approve it yet. she had her medical exam over a month ago and we were told that the results would be emailed to the embassy on our behalf. i don’t understand how it can take over a month to email a document... i’m wondering if i should call the clinic and ask them about it...
Maybe you should ask. The doctor that saw me also told me he was sending everything electronically. I was a bit concerned since I had read that you get a sealed envelope instead and asked when it would to the embassy and he said he was forwarding it the same day.

Approved today at interview!!
The hardest part of the process were the hours leading up to it, I was so nervous, couldn't eat or sleep well. My interview wasn't even ten minutes, after all that worrying!
Can't wait to see the golden "Issued" status, but I'll be patient since for some people it seems to take a couple of weeks. Good luck to everyone interviewing soon, the end is near 🎉🎉

Is it okay to upload some additional documents to CEAC before my interview? or would it cause issues?

Hi everyone! Received DQ today November 7 2nd resubmission September 30. How long from DQ to CC email?
Congrats! Isn't DQ the same thing as CC? I got an email saying "You've been Documentary Qualified" pretty much instantly after an email about changes in our case being made.

Hey everyone, my interview is in a couple of weeks. So my wife kept our original marriage certificate (certified copy), and they're charging us so much to get it sent here. I was wondering if they definitely demand the original?
I would imagine so, and if that's the case we'll pay for it.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I've been apart from my wife for more than a year now, and it's insanely painful too, I think about hugging her and I always find myself in tears, so I can empathize with your situation. The uncertainty of it all if really hard as well. A lot of us in here go through the same, and I think we all understand your pain. I hope you can be reunited with your family soon. Stay strong friend.

Quick question to those who already had their interviews, did you take the ORIGINAL I-864 form? Or can I take a scanned copy that was uploaded to CEAC? I guess we can always get it mailed, but it's expensive and I'd rather avoid it if copies of the scans are okay.

My husband had his interview at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala today and he was approved. He left with an approved i-601a waiver, which was scary, but all went well thank God. We are currently waiting for his passport with the visa.
Congrats ❤️ I hope you have a happy life together.

Read the guidelines first, the information is out there. There are several options, and you should have health insurance anyway, you never know when there can be an emergency.
This is the official info, best of luck in your process.

Anyone interviewing after Nov 3rd? How are you planning to prove health insurance? My wife would be covered by my employer insurance but I don’t think I can add her until she’s LPR.
In the presidential proclamation guidelines it says they will accept traveler insurance valid for at least 364 days, so that's what we're doing.
My spouse is also sending me her insurance paperwork from her job, but they can't add me until I come to the US. So I'm taking both to the interview. Might be overkill, but beyond it being a requirement now, I don't want to worry about what might happen if I have an emergency before I get added to her insurance. My interview isnt until the 26th though, anyone who has it first please report back!

Did medicals this morning.
Takes between 2 to 3 weeks before results so had to go ahead and do it early to avoid any last minute frustrations.
Clock's ticking, blood's rushing...haha!
Let's do this!!
How was it? I'm probably scheduling mine today.

I have not apostilled mine from a third country, did you use a lawyer for this?
I didn't use a lawyer. Depending on the country you can easily do it yourself, just find out what the process is. If you don't want to go through the headache of figuring it out you can always get a lawyer.

For those who finished the interview and did it in a third country, did you need apostilled versions of your civil documents?
Thanks on advance.
I lived in a third country for some years (Costa Rica by the way, pura vida!) and I apostilled everything I got back from there. I haven't had the interview, but they did ask for CR police records. Apostille is proof that the document is legitimate outside the country of issuance, since my interview is outside of CR I got it apostilled to be safe.

Wait for the letter in the mail with the specifics of the RFE, it might not be about the legitimacy of your relationship. Perhaps a document that is missing, or some other thing. We got an RFE for a birth certificate that had been ammended. I know it's hard not to worry, but try and wait and see what it is before you jump to conclusions.
-
We got IL letter as well! I suppose there was another batch sent out today.
I'm happy but also extremely nervous, my spouse won't be able to be with me at the interview and I'm terrified. I hope everything goes well.
No time to lose though, gotta start preparing.

Hi, you have to get the Folio from the Registro Nacional de las Personas in the town where your spouse was born, anyone can get it for you. I got it a week after asking for it, fairly easy process, just had to wait in line for an hour or so when I went to claim it. Maybe you have some family or friends here who can help you?
