  1. We are currently waiting for our case number in the NVC, and we have started to gather the paperwork that needs to be uploaded to CEAC.

Do the police records and birth certificate of the beneficiary need to be authenticated and have an apostille stamp? Or can I just upload the documents alone without the extra stuff? So confused, I browsed around to see if I could find an answer, but couldn't find much.  I'm the beneficiary, and from Honduras, if that makes any difference. Thank you!

  2. Hey all, so this morning I checked the uscis website with our case number and was sad to see that it said they had issued us an RFE. I randomly checked just now and it has changed to "Correspondence Was Received And USCIS Is Reviewing It", which makes no sense because we have not received a hard copy of the RFE or sent out any new documentation back to them, wouldn't even get there in less than a day anyway. Possible glitch? I know we should probably just wait for the hard copy, but we are still nervous about it and not sure what to make of it. Anyone had this happen to them? Should I just not rely on the website?

Hi al, I'm practically new here and wondering if anyone else got their documents returned ? :((

Our lawyer sent our I-130 petition around Feb 21st, and we received NOA (March 12) saying that my husband's G-1450 was invalid, or the credit card info supplied was denied. My husband and lawyer double checked the credit card info so we don't think it was a mistake on our side, he was just never charged the $535.

We filed this thorugh a lawyer and they told us they got several other petitions back, so we figured it was related to govt lockdown, but looking thorugh this topic it seems that everyone's been charged as expected.

Anyway we sent the documents again but this time sent a check, we were so sad it's like going back to square one but oh well.

We got married in late December and intended to apply by late January but ended up doing so in late February, and now started all over in mid March.. good luck everyone!

Our lawyer used a money order and they didn't have issue charging it. We got married in June 2018 and only managed to send ours by Jan 29th 2019 so I get how you must be feeling, but you will get there, stay strong!!

Hello I’m the beneficiary here , my wife filed the form 1-30 on 6th feb 19 and the money was deducted on the 13th .. please what does it mean?

We just filed and I'm certainly no expert, but as I understand it means your petition was received by USCIS and will be sent to a processing center. You should be receiving your NOA1 with your receipt number soon.  Maybe someone else can chime in if I'm wrong.

  5. Hey there, we just filed some weeks ago and we included 4 affidavits per request of our lawyer. Two close friends who were present during the ceremony and both my spouse's parents who we have lived with for months when I've visited the US. She recommended we notorize all four of them, and include a copy of the person's passport or driver's license. It certainly can't hurt, especially if you already have pictures and tickets and everything else.
