EandS2019 got a reaction from ohcoffeeeyes in International Money Transfers Fees so expensive
I use Transferwise, just an alternative option I've had success with.

This shouldn't set you back much at all, as long as you respond soon. I don't know how long they take to get through AOS RFE responses, but based on what I've seen on this forum it's not usually long. It's great news that they have been looking at your case.

I just got my RFE today for my birth certificate. I didn't realise I needed a long one so I just ordered it from the UK. Does anyone know how long this will set me back?
Congrats to you all with the interviews already scheduled!!

Hello! it took 6 days for me to get the email asking for proof of the urgency to get the EAD, after I sent the docs, it took maybe 5 more days to be approved, in total, I called on 07/03 and they requested the documents to support my request on 07/09, and my card was being produced on 07/27, I got it in the mail on 08/03 ... it took almost a month because I took a week gathering my medical records and my job offer letter.
Crossing my fingers that your case is approved soon!

EandS2019 reacted to Crazy Cat in Do K-1 Visa Holders need SSN before getting married?
Most people find it to be beneficial to have a SSN as soon as possible after arriving (before marriage).......it makes opening bank accounts, renting apartments, etc. much easier.....

I'd almost be happy to receive an RFE 😂 At least then I'd know someone was looking at our file. We've been sitting on "fingerprint fee was received" since June 18th (I know, not unusual but still!).

Glad that combo card is 2.5-5 months now, at least it makes the wait easier

One of VJ members shared this with me before, you can check the backlog of your office. As you can see Fresno (I expect it to be my office) doesn't have a huge backlog. Hope it will be useful for some of you
