    Since your package was rejected, take advantage of it and send 765 forms for the kids too. That's the only way they can get SSNs before the green card (tax season is coming).

    A Credit Report is required by the I-944.

    Not having a SSN doesn't necessarily mean you don't have a credit score. You can start building your credit without a SSN. I was an authorized user on my spouse's credit card, no SSN was required, and that helped me build my credit score.

    You're gonna have to mail them a form/letter requesting a credit report or call them. The reply will say they have nothing with your name.

    RFE will put on hold any parallel benefit that depends on the main application. So yes, your EAD will only be approved after you rfe is cleared.

    There are no fees for EAD/AP just like the first time you applied.

    2020 Fee increase also never happened.

    They can always call another office. They are doing in person appointments, but they have to keep trying, sometimes the person that answers the call is not willing to help. When they call for a supervisor, they schedule the appointment.

    You can also tell them to apply to renew their EAD when there's 180 days left on the card.

    Ayrton got a reaction from Chancy in Does moving to a new state (and new USCIS office) “reset” your place in line for interview?
    No one knows exactly what happens.

    My experience:

    I applied in September 2019 in CT, moved to NY in March, had my interview in November. From the September and NYC groups, I noticed that other people also from September and originally from NYC were getting scheduled for similar dates to mine. So it didn't reset my clock.

    I also saw people that moved to a quicker office and got scheduled within a week.

    This is her first SSC, so she has to apply for it in person, and the offices are doing in person appointments for that. They're gonna have to convince them that she needs the number now, either for a job or to file taxes.

    If they accept to receive it by mail, she will mail the request form SS5 with her EAD. They will mail her stuff back after 1 week or two and the card within 3 weeks.

    It doesn't matter. When they receive the two forms together they know it's for a combo card.

    That depends if it's a conditional green card or not.

    For OP, if she has a 10 years GC, file for I-90. You can file online and keep your card until they request it (which is usually at the end of the process). If your trip is before the expiration, just use the old card. If the trip is after the expiration and you didn't receive the new, get an infopass appointment to get a stamp.

    Remember that the issue would not be entering the country. They can always send you to the back room and check your case and let you in. The issue will be the airline letting you travel without proof that you can go to the US.

    Use (C)(9)( ) for all of them.

    Yes, they will have combo cards, which is also better than having a paper 131 for trips, and serve as ID. An authorization to work doesn't mean your kids are going to get a job at the age of 8 and 10. Having an EAD just means that they are aliens that are authorized to work compared to aliens that are not authorized to work.

    Believe us. The kids are allowed to apply for it.

    Does your husband have a green card already? (Your profile say yes).

    If yes, then you can't remove your support. Your obligation only ends with one of the following situations:

    - Becomes a U.S. citizen;
    - Has worked, or can receive credit for, 40 quarters of coverage under the Social Security Act;
    - No longer has lawful permanent resident status and has departed the United States;
    - Is subject to removal, but applies for and obtains, in remove proceedings, a new grant of adjustment of status, based on a new affidavit of support, if one is required; or
    - Dies.

    You're only a joint sponsor. The USC spouse will always be the main sponsor. If they only sent your 864, then they will receive a RFR for your kids 864.

    If you withdraw your support, the USC spouse (aka your kid) will have to get a job that pays above the poverty line or find another joint sponsor.

    Make sure the 864 is the latest edition. They realesed new versions in the past few months, and since you said you filled it out before the embassy Interview, it might be an old version.

    Affidavits of Support aren't petitions to be approved or denied. They are contracts between the sponsor and the government to support you, and they are in effect the moment you become a PR.

    She's not required to send tax returns to USCIS if she was not required to file them with the IRS. That's why the instructions are pretty clear and tell you to give them the reason why a tax return wasn't filed. In her case, not enough income to be required to file.

    What should matter to the IO is her Current Annual Income, not what it says on her previous taxes (even though they can still check the whole scenario). If her income now is above the poverty line, you guys are good to go and no joint sponsor is required. Send employment letter and paystubs to support that.

    I understand that since it's a new job, you might think you need a joint sponsor, which is fine and will eliminate the trouble a misinformed officer can cause. But a joint sponsor in your case is not required.

    File I-90 online, so you don't need to send the card now. They will issue a RFE for you to send the card when they're ready to issue the new one.

    You can still request an info pass appointment. I have my appointment tomorrow because my name was wrong on the card. I filed for I-90 online and still haven't sent my GC yet.

    It was pretty simple. I told them I needed proof of status because I was sending my card to get replaced. They called later and scheduled the appointment.
