RC and JE

It’s really hard to stay positive because I stupidly resigned from work and leave work next week (can’t rescind my notice) so my fiancé is going to have to pay my bills and we booked my flights for next week (6 weeks after interview)thinking that would be more than enough time which we are going to lose money on if my visa isn’t issued this week.
seeing that others are still in the same position months before me scares me silly and the longer this goes on I get more scared that I’ll be ultimately denied.
let my case be a cautionary tale for others.
 
not knowing why I’m in additional ap when I had a very simple interview and was told 7-10 working days and should be approved is horrid.
32 total days 21 days now and no change since jan 30th.

After 297 days I finally got my NOA2 today!! 😍I hope everyone here is doing well and if you're not with your loved one already I hope you will be soon!! 

You can always talk with your congressman. If you submitted on April,2018 you are definitely over time. Talk with the senator your state they must help you. Success!

Well my fellow April filers it has been a long journey. We finally received our NOA2 this morning via text message. The old site is updated but the new site is not. I'm sure a lot of you have moved on to other threads for your respective NOA2 and NVC cases. Just wanted to share the new. If I'm the last of the April filers, please let me know. I'll make sure to lock up everything and turn off the lights!

NOA1 4/30. I just received my NOA2, but over the phone. I have not received any other notifications. I had an RFE for a document I already submitted. An agent told me over the phone that sometimes “documents get separated from the file.” I would suggest contacting your congresspersons office if you have not already done so. They can submit an inquiry on your case. You can even get an info pass to talk to someone in person. I know someone who had to do all these things to find out 8 mos into it that her case had not been assigned to anyone. I’m not saying that is your case as all cases are different, but it doesn’t hurt to be persistent. They are not above human error.

Wow. I hope I hear back soon. I wonder if the file goes back to the same agent who originally reviewed the file or if RFEs are processed by someone else. It says Laguna Niguel office when I call so I would imagine someone else. Thanks for your response.

Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some answers on the embassy available dates in Guyana but I see they are not allowing you guys to choose your date. I am from Guyana just got my NVC case # so I will be doing my medical and scheduling my interview soon if you guys need any info or help about Guyana I am always here to help.

Case was approved. Did not receive email it seems and since I am out of the country idk if I got a text haha. 215 days total. RFE seems to have taken almost 24 days.

Here on VJ they have created a spreadsheet where couples have added their RFE information and it makes for a good primer while you are waiting for your RFE. It will show what others have received for RFE's and how they corrected their error.

OMG OMG OMG.... APPROVED! I can't believe it.. Just I seat on my laptop, with my coffee in hand (as always hehe) and I was checking the USCIS websites with not much hopes, and puffff I see this.. I guess guys you all heard me screaming here at home hahahaha... Sooooo happy I am...😃

RFE:    Oct, 16 (About TOS),  Recieved RFE response by USCIS: Oct,31 (old site) Nov,1 (new site)
NOA2:  Nov, 9

Apr 01 - NOA1 Oct 25 - RFE (proof of 2 year meeting and intent to marry from beneficiary) Nov 01 - RFE received at USCIS  Nov 07 - APPROVED!!!!!!

Hello April filers we were approved today now we wait for interview in Casablanca we got our NOA 2 approval yay praise God for this 204 days later keep us in your prayers to receive an interview and a visa thanks everyone 

I've heard the wait time to get an appointment with embassy in Guyana can be over 2 months. We are also waiting for NOA2. 
 
After the election, I am going to write a letter to my congressperson and senators asking them to try to help with the long wait times for Guyana. I'm seeing some embassies in other countries see folks just a couple of weeks after NOA2. I encourage you to write your elected representatives as well. Squeaky wheel gets the grease!
