I would think it's enough,  since you have the I-94 record/number. you should explain in the section for additional information the circumstances. Any copies/photocopies of the old passport / VISA?  (i submitted both my parents' packets in December)

did your mom arrive in the US more than 10 years ago? if not you may also be able to get a record from CBP I-94 website. what visa did she arrive on?

This is a bit different, but i went through AOS process myself without the original physical I-94 record (lost it), but was able to use the original passport/visa with admission stamp

Thank you for your kid reply

We sent her package with the copy of the physical I-94 Record number, I told our lawyer about wanting to add in additional information the circumstances they advice not still think would it be better if we did, unfortunately her passport with her visa got lost and she don't have any information of the document  just the passport number by itself

there's not record in the website because she arrived more than 10 years ago, She arrived in a tourist visa B2.

The package was received on May 02 2022

Last case update was on June 09, 2022

Case is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS so finger crossed

    Good luck on your case

  2. I’m (US Citizen) preparing my moms package for AOS and getting the evidence needed but I have a question in the i-485 instructions says:

    4. Inspection and Admission or Inspection and Parole
This evidence must relate to your most recent arrival into the United States. Submit copies of the following documents, if available:

    A. Passport page with admission or parole stamp (issued by a U.S. immigration officer);

    B. Passport page with nonimmigrant visa; and

    C. Form I-94 Arrival-Departure Record (See Form I-94 Arrival-Departure Record in the General Instructions section of these Instructions).

Unfortunately my mom lost her passport with her visitor visa 10 years ago and we don’t have that information but the good news is she still has the physical I-94 Arrival-Departure Record that shows her name, date she got admitted, seal, where she got admitted and the visa class she was admited.

The I-94 is enough evidence to prove she was inspected/admitted by an immigration officer?

Any help and information will be appreciated.

  3. Don't send it prior the 90 Days window, I sent my I-751 5 days earlier from the 90 days because I got scare that due COVID the shipping process would take longer, they received in two days after I send it, they rejected all and send it back this delayed my process almost 2 months.

Use this filling calculation to know the exact date:

    Interview scheduled! 🙌

Got a notification last night (3/2) that my interview was scheduled for 04/21 in Atlanta. Now to prep for the test and get all the documents together.

From my understanding they are just testing from the 2008 civic test, I study and did my test on the 02/23 and only people who filed after December 1, 2020 and before March 1, 2021they have the option to get tested on the 2020 version or 2008.

The 2020 civic test was intended to create an additional and unnecessary barrier to naturalization, during the Trump administration.

  6. Hello everyone,

I'm getting my citizenship certificate later this month but I want to be proactive and start the paperwork for my mom and apply I soon as I get it, she lives in USA, she came to USA on 2005 with a tourist visa (B2) with no plans to stay but due an abusive relationship with my father, she decided to stay, she is been working without authorization and she doesn't have lawful immigration status. Even though there's penalties, she is exempt and still be eligible for AOS  because she will be in the Immediate Relatives (parent of a U.S. citizen) category please refer: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-b-chapter-8

    I have a couple questions:
    1. One of the requirements to apply for AOS is proof of lawful admission, she has the physical version Form I-94, the Arrival-Departure Record Card, because she came before April 2013 there's no digital record in the i94 website, does a copy of the physical version should be fine?

    2. Unfortunately her passport with her tourist visa got lost, years ago so she don't have a record of the last stamp, passport number or visa number only the I-94. Is there anywhere I can retrieve that information here in the USA? what other evidence I can show that she had a lawful admission?

    3. Some forms ask for the entry information like the passport number and travel document number because I don't have that information I was thinking to add it in the additional information page.

Any advice or list of form that I have to file I would be more than graceful, thanks in advance :)

    Hello everyone,

My interview was scheduled today at 9:30 am at Holtsville NY, I got there at 8:30am the wait was around an hour the interview was okay.

First thing he asked me if your spouse is here with me today I said no, I didn’t knew he was allowed to be here (nowhere in the interview schedule notice saids to bring your spouse and more with covid restriction) I asked is it a requirement to he to be here? and he didn’t gave me a yes but he said just because your conditional status  was not still removed them I said my spouse is in the parking lot I can call him so he can get in, he said no is fine let’s get the citizenship process done first.

The officer asked me to write a sentence, and read out loud another sentence asked me 6 questions I answered correctly he said good job and he proceed, unfortunately the server was down in his computer and he couldn’t have access to his computer, he asked me if I upload my taxes I said yes and he asked me if I have them with me and I didn’t so he gave me the Naturalization Interview Results I passed the exam but

    B) A DECISION CANNOT YET BE MADE ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION

Because he needs to see my taxes…

I feel so annoyed I took off a day off from work and drove 1 hour and because their server was down a decision cannot yet be made…

the office le said that everything was fine and there’s nothing to worry about but I will get notified by mail about an update but all know how lo g that takes…

Hello everyone I just want to share the update I received this morning:

We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review.

Your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, was placed in line for oath ceremony scheduling.

I read quality review is part of the normal procedure and is the last step for the oath ceremony to be schedule so I’m happy.

    Good luck everyone :)

What about me that my I-751 is approved and 10 year card document on hand but n-400 interview next month, is it really necessary to go with my spouse since it will be difficult for her to attend with me due to her job?

I didn’t read anywhere that it was a requirement to go with your spouse for N400,  I think my condition was different because my conditional resident wasn’t removed and they tried to do a combo interview but I’m so unsure at this point I will consider asking your spouse to go with you.

  14. Hello beautiful people I finally received my NOA (18 months extension) after two long and torture months... I have to mention that my case was rejected because I file "too early" it was 2 days prior the 90 days... anyways
I had been checking peoples timeline and everyone received text messages from USCIS with case numbers, I still don't have anything else than the NOA with the 18 month extension mail letter is this normal?
I went to the MyUSCIS website and there is no information about this process.

    thank you in advance :)

    Hi,

I actually experienced the same thing. I sent my ROC application too early. It had a white paper indicating this and saying they returned the check with the application.

I just resent it because by that time my 90-day window was wide open. make sure the check is not cashed by the way. good luck.

Hello I hope you are still active in this blog...
I received my package today because the same reason, they attached the checks back (with a seal on top and they never cashed) do I have to write  a new check or just re-send the package with the new form (new dates)
