    K1 filer in UAE after NVC

    Any update on your case??? We are still waiting NOA2, just trying to look at timeframe for NVC. With Ramadan in May I figure the embassy may slow down interviews etc.... wishing you the best🙏🏼😊

    Those things are not lame how cute! 

    Completely agree with you both that these are “hard” times however; my honey and I know that our sacrifices now will God willing pay off SOON for our future. 

     

    Snuffles, I think those are amazing gestures for you and your honey to do “together” I am not a creative person at all, thank Goodness for Pinterest because there are soooooo many LDR activities and inspirational quotes, that help us to feel the “void” of not being right there. A few “corny” things I have done is bring my honey Hershey’s chocolate hugs and kisses and placed them in a jar, I put a note that said for your everyday hugs and kisses and then an extra jar for those days when you need more🙂♥️ 

     

    i looked at my calendar and was like whooooohooooo 11 weeks until first part of July💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 That sounds soooooo much better than saying 3 months to me for some reason 😝😝😝😝😝

    I know it’s insane! The most challenging part is waiting.....I look at uscis and the date keeps going up...but here on vj it’s going down. An approval of June/July would be awesome if he could be here by end of October that would be aaaaaamazing! Would LOVE to get married on New Year’s Eve. Wishing us all “control” during this time

    4 hours after the name updated I was woken up by lovely @Swissmiss82 (whom I swore at for a good minute as I finally fell asleep at 2:30 🤣🤣 then I saw who it was but couldn’t wake up, then she sent me a screenshot of my approval. I advise anyone to have one of these @Swissmiss82 in hand cause she knew before my email came :rofl:)

     

    Now about the “name was updated” as my other dear @emekus94 said, normally “name was updated” is a correction on the petition about name or address or such.  However, when they were doing May I was really in to research on some of the updates that people has no idea why. One was name was updated (never expected to get one) I confirmed this theory of name updated 99% turns to approval with quite a lot of members here so yayyyy.

     

    my case only got name update on 4/5 4am but with the date of 4/4 on the new site, and the approval came on the old site.

     

    wow can’t believe I’m writing this!

     

    received date: Sept 15

    submitted: Sept 18

    noa 2: April 5

     

    I deleted the app so I’m not sure but I think I’m on day 204? from the received date. 

     

    And I wouldn’t do this again even if they give me a million dollars! 

     

    I don’t know how everyone is doing it, but during the past week I broke up with my fiancé 10 times at least. Because I wanted to stop the pain one way or another. And I couldn’t go to work for the past 2 days.... so I understand why couples are drained and why some people are not as “strong” (actually this is the wrong word to use)

     

    So many people helped me through this hell other than the chocolate puddings that I ate.

    I want to give a brief summary of how this road looked like from my eyes:

    -June edition:the one with most drama

    -July edition: the one with the most chill

    -August: the one that made me go crazy

    -September : expediters 

    -October : the one who always caught up in someone else’s drama

    -November: all k1 goes to california 

    -December: mainly validation errors

    I know this is way too soon for us(filed I129f Jan 2018) however I was just reading ahead to next phases after NOA2 (god willing) and just have a general question.

     

    I am the petitioner US citizen living in America now, my fiancé is from Pakistan but resides in the UAE(where we met) and this is where I also stated the consulate he will be interviewing at. I noticed it said once NVC sends case to the Consulate in UAE our names will be ran thru the proper databases...does anyone know what that means???  like for the UAE, Pakistan and US??? Does anyone think then maybe it may be faster if he were back in Pakistan so the "investigation" doesn't have to go thru too many obstacles and countries...just asking if anyone has been thru this step and can enlighten me it would be great!

    Happy April to everyone:) we enter the 3rd month of filing our petition and it feels like FOREVER. 

    So on the topic of proof of relationship I personally feel like less is more and I have created “gifts” over the months like one being a calendar of all of our pictures throughout our time together and collage of our texts, phone calls etc. I also have made sure to include pictures of me at like work with our pictures in the background, and at the house with me cuddling a blanket with our pictures plastered all over it lol. I also included family pictures with a picture of me holding a frame with me and my fiancé in it. 

    And I figure if they are really that ####### about proof then let them look at my fiancé’s phone and the CO would see everything 😝😝😝

    Hello all K1 Jan 2018 filers. Our NOA1 is dated Jan 25. My paper notification actually took me by surprise as it looks like a random white piece of paper with nothing special. Previous versions of this letter I have seen were a light green in color and had a symbol imprinted on them. Hoping everyone else’s looks the same lol.

     

    my fiancé is currently in UAE where he will be processing country of origin is Pakistan. Our service center is California. 

     

    Good of luck to everyone and may we all be blessed to be together this year♥️🙏🏽
