SebastianOs got a reaction from Lemonslice in USCIS Issued ME 1 year GREENCARD THAN 2 YEARS!!
    Thanks for the reply!

I think I read it somewhere on a Facebook group for AOS, they're saying some may get lucky some won't so it's case to case basis. But, now I remembered reading it on USCIS website (thanks for reminding me BTW) before about getting 10 years GC when married more  than 2 years.

I didn't provide much details on my post but we did submitted I-90 form on  August 2021 but until now still pending in review. I don't know if I should wait for that or we should just apply now for ROC before it expires on August this year.

I meant to say here *ABOVE*

we never got updates about our application on the year of 2020 so basically we waited more than 1 year before they gave us an interview date. Sorry for the confusion.

Well, that would have been a very helpful bit of information to provide in the first place.

Average processing time for I-90 is 15 months.

Yeah, I know and you're right. Read it on USCIS website and that's why we filed form I-90 ASAP but no updates until now.
We definitely have similar situation, sorry to hear that. But, WOW, so happy for you finally your done with all the applications. I'll respond to the letter they sent me as well. I really hope they'll give me an update soon after I mail them about my form I-90. Thank you!

FB is not an official source for govt info....or official source for ANY info actually lol.

Oh it would have been good to mention in your first post that you already submitted I-90. Do not submit I-751. They made a similar error on my GC back in 2017. They said I had been a resident since Aug 2017 but that was when I FILED AOS. I was approved Oct 2018. I also got a wrong letter saying, "You're supposed to file I-751 close to Aug 2019." Obviously this was wrong. I filed I-90. I also replied to the I-751 reminder letter with a copy of my I-90 receipt notice stating that the dates on my card were wrong and I had filed I-90 so actually I did NOT need to file I-751 in Aug 2019. I'm not sure if that did anything but I got the new GC with all the correct info surprisingly quickly. I still had to do I-751 because my marriage was only 1 year and 4 months old when I had been approved. But there were no issues and I'm a citizen now.

OP said they got married Jan 2019 and were finally approved Aug 2021 so their marriage is def older than 2 years at the time of approval.

I have seen visa's issued within hours of the interview, some the next day, some one week, some 2 weeks, some 6 months and some 1 year.

Your mileage may vary. Have some more patience.

I’m dealing with the same. My interview was December 12 and it hasnt changed status yet, it’s stuck on “ready”. So I guess we need to wait a little longer. 😅

They're starting to ramp up the approvals for the shipping to the Embassies set for next week. There will be more happy people between now and then.

Once you receive your case number and your case has been set to READY at CEAC it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

You'll need your Eligibility Letter, which is emailed from USEM. Here is an example of what it looks like http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/embassy-letter.html

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course, it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps, he includes the what, when and why to complete the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

    http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next, you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like-minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread is processing through another country they would be hard-pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:
    https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.
  23. Thanks

Check ceac.state.gov and select "immigrant" and then enter your case number and you will know the status. Once you receive your letter from NVC with the case number you can use it to gain access to the medical exam at SLEC. Once you receive the eligibility letter from USEM then you can pay your interview (application) fee and schedule your appointment. Everything else starts to fall in waiting for your completion.

Have you followed the links and information that I have posted for the Philippines?
