This is gonna be today's "full day" scan. I'll usually do it later, but there doesn't seem to be more movement and after more than 30 hours awake I can't stand it any longer. I'll try to do another one when I wake up tomorrow in case they do any more updates. Hopefully tomorrow will be a day full of approvals!!

Your timeline indicates the estimated time you will receive your NOA2 if everything is approved, not for your interview. As far as the form I think you can start preparing it but I think it has to be recent to when your actual interview date comes around. Not too sure, good question, because I was wondering the same, when I should get started on mine.

someone had entered bad info on their timeline , like they entered that they received their approval on march 20th or something. Saw this in the Dec filers thread. Someone asked them to correct their timeline and they did. hence the jump up... but I just looked at my timeline again and it moved back again! zero sum total haha

OK just to give everyone hope ........ my approved petition only took 12 days to get to the NVC from the CSC !!!
approved 3/3/18 and NVC got it 3/15/18

for timeline i think you can do either its your choice (I use my received date, because received date and noa1 sometimes can be a week apart)

My NOA2 was dated about 2 weeks before my VJ estimated date. My timeline at the end said something like March 19-23, and my case was approved on the 8th.

Our NOA2 was about 2 weeks before the estimate!  We sent a huge binder with way too much information, maybe they got tired of seeing it on the shelf.

This is actually incorrect. All you need to submit DS-160 is the USCIS number. 

and no,  best to wait as the medical exam determines the visa expiration (have to travel within 6 months of medical)
and many criminal reports are only good for 90 days
BTW you can not hurry immigration / takes patience to get thru this
