100% normal, although it's been almost 5 years since my London interview, I can definitely remember being put in AP for about 2 days.
Oh wow long time ago haha!
i was expecting it to be 2-3 days but it’s been 4-5 days now. So that worries me a little

Its normal process u will updated 2 or 3 days that visa is approved
but if u received 221g than u have to submit the required docs ro the embassy
Okay, thanks!
nope didn’t get a 221g
11 hours ago, geowrian said:Yes, it's normal. Every case goes through some form of AP before the visa is issued. Usually it's only days if there's no issues in final processing.
Fingers crossed it changes soon. It’s been in AP for 4 days now

Apologies if I’m writing this in the wrong thread... unsure where else to post it.
i had my interview on the 7th of June at the London Consulate, UK, and was approved then and there. I wasn’t given any form of 221g. However I’ve been put into AP (on June 8th). Is this normal for after approval at the interview? Does anyone know how long you’re meant to sit in AP? I understand it’s not been very long but I am pretty curious.
Thanks!

https://www.gov.uk/jury-service/delaying-or-being-excused-from-jury-service Try the advice here.
Also don't forget about informing the HMRC that you will be leaving the UK by filing a P85.
Thanks so much!
And ohhh I will! Thank you!

Book your flight, let them know, and say you won't be back within the next 12 months because it's a permanent move. I'm not familiar with the jury service system in the UK but I would imagine a permanent move is a pretty good reason to be excused.
I did call and he told me that he’s taken me off the system but that doesn’t neccesarily mean I’ve been excused. He told me to send back the letter with reasons to be excused and hope for the best 😩

Hahaha! Sounds good, I think that will work

I’ve just received a letter in the mail with a Jury Summons........ selected at random for jury service beginning on August 6th for 2 weeks. What do I do??? I can’t believe it.... my parents tell me it’s almost impossible to get out of it. I had planned to move at the beginning of July.... any help please! What do I do?! Can I get out of it?! Unbelievable!!!!

Hiii everyone
so is here anyone else still waiting for their NOA2 from SEPTEMBER or OCTOBER - NOVEMBER fillers?
We had our NOA1 on November 10 , texas center... and still nothing
I would like to know how far we are from some results.
the discussions for November fillers is filled with so many other questions so its time absorving to really find the answer of who got approved and whos still waiting.
I kindly asking you to use this discussions only to inform if you are still waiting or got approved recently (not more question where to download app , what to send to NVC or how to respond to your rfe- there are specific discussions made for exactly for that). I would like this table to be just informative and clear for everyone :))
according to their website, they're working on october 8th and up. some get their NOA2 earlier, some a lot later. but you're not out of processing times so don't worry. goodluck

Have him get a transcript which does not require an employers wage statement. As a contractor, he should get a 1099-MISC from the employer to show his earnings for the tax year.
Get transcripts https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
London will accept photocopies so he can email you the PDF if he does online and you can print.
He can scan his form 1099 as well.
Thank you! I’ll have him do that

London tells you what to bring. Follow your embassy instructions.
https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/
It does not say
-proof of meeting
-pictures of us together
-petition (approval stamped)
-NOA2 letter
Read what London says in their list about
letters of intent
(you don't need)
I’m bringing it all just in case. I’ve seen many different reviews of people who have recently been to the Embassy and some have been asked for those documents. It can’t hurt to take extra if they don’t ask for it then it doesn’t matter. At least I have peace of mind that if they do ask, I have it.
(I’m taking a folder of all of those documents. The requirements listed on that page are at the front, other documents not listed are at the back.)

you can show the IRS transcripts, which is the equivalent of a 1040 form and a w-2 together
Thank you!

Sorry, I meant 1099s. W9 is what one fills out to for the employer to issue a 1099
Hmm, I’ll have to ask him :/

My fiancé is a contractor, he is based in new york, however he works for a company based in england. he doesn't have any w-2 forms because of this.... is that going to be a problem for me at my interview? pleaaase any help would be really appreciated. i'm ripping my hair out in frustration, lol
I just spoke to my fiancé and he tells me that he doesn’t get w-2’s but he pays his taxes outright at the end of each year. His accountant gets info of this... would this suffice?

Do you need the original NOA2 letter or can it be a copy?
Also do you need the full original packet that the US fiancée filed? I 129f and her divorce decree?
Also in the supporting documents you need the W2
i'm not sure if it needs to be an original or copy. i assume either. mines the original though.
also unsure as to whether the full packet is needed, but i'm bringing mine anyway!
yes definitely take the divorce decree.
whats the W2?
