The lady at my bank was super confused but I gave her my SSN and that worked lol thank you.

Obviously having a US bank is great for doing living in the USA.   
 
But having canadian bank accounts is also useful for any stuff you do in Canada.  If you visit there, own properties there, etc.

Provide your SS number.  Almost anywhere we go or live overseas reports bank info back to the US:

So I had my " document" returned to USCIS in April and I submitted a request to have it sent back out and I just got an update that my card is being produced today. I didn't have an interview or anything.

Are you WAC (California) filer?  Sounds like you have been approved.  Congrats.

Got an email that they received the package on August 20th and we received our NOA August 24th!

You can only submit what you have, things like lease, insurance, joint bank accounts, wills etc.  Here is an example.

Thank you for you reply, our status changed to approved on November 22nd and on 25th changed to "card mailed" So all is well and we're super excited to be finally done with this portion of immigration.

That's what happened to us as well! The guy was super friendly and told us everything looked good but he just had to go through all of it. Status changed to "must be reviewed" then like 4 hours later changed to "card being produced" lol, I got my greencard in the mail 8 days after the interview!

Thank you! No they didn't, I had mine done in March of this year so I am within the 1 year!  They did look to make sure I had my Medical paper included though.

Great! But once you receive your GC the EAD becomes irrelevant. Such a waste of time and resources if they are sending both the card at the same time or with hardly any time gap between them. 🙄 Why can't they approve the EAD faster and keep working on the GC application. 

I got both green card and EAD within 8 days after this status.
