Don't worry at all. It doesn't affect anything. Just may be a different colour to everyone else's that's the only difference

and they get you to put it in a red bag anyway, so the only person that will see it is the person testing it.

I waited 8 days (because of the weekend, that left 5 clear working days as suggested). You should be ok according to what they suggest, maybe they were just particularly busy this week and last.

VandL reacted to Scandi in what do I do after POE
No, to avoid potential extra trouble you apply for a SSN first.

Print off your (online) I-94 arrival record Get Social Security number Get married Get your copy of the marriage certificate back from the county marked as "certified" meaning it got registered. Apply for AOS/EAD/AP, which are three separate applications with their own evidence documentation that "ride together" in the same envelope to USCIS. Get your head around the fact that the visa is over and this is a brand new process. You are married, may have a new married surname, are unemployed, and whatever you provided in the petition or for your visa may be be asked for again. Don't assume they already have something and will dig it out of your old visa file. The guides are here on VJ, top of the right column http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides/
The forums are here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/7-adjustment-of-status-green-card-from-k1-and-k3-family-based-visas/
Read those topics, especially those that have problems so you learn from their mistakes.

VandL reacted to tpmd in LONDON EMBASSY -- AFFIDAVIT SUPPORT
Yeah, my father in law is acting as our co-sponsor as both my fiance and I have been working abroad for the last few years, so he has onky just re-established himself in the US. You won't need to fill in an I-134 as it has to come from a US citizen I believe. Just make sure you have your fiances and any evidence to prove that he can provide for you while you're unable to work, plus any evidence of your savings will be helpful.

VandL reacted to Jaquelly in almsot 6 months since NOA1 and nothing (merged)
You have posted repeatedly about your wait. Again, there is a thread for the people. I will copy and paste the same comment I made to you in your last post from January 12.
Hi Mercy;
This is the August filers thread. You will find other people who are waiting and filed the same month you did.
Things are backed up for all of us. There are people still waiting to hear back - and they filed in May.
http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow
That will help you with the steps you take after the NOA2.

VandL reacted to Andsco in Noa2 approval whats next
Hey! So first of all, I have all my K1 info in my bio (in case you want to check out how long it took for me in every step). I believe once my NOA2 got approved, they sent it to the NVC. We called after a week to ask about the number and they gave it to my husband and not long after, the package was on its way to my country.
Once it arrived to Spain (in my case) the embassy contacted me via email and sent me a copy of the same letter I would be getting on the next days. The letter was pretty much saying that I had to set a date for my interview, pay for the visa (online) and set a date (before the interview) to attend my medical.
Pretty much that same day I paid the visa, put all the docs together, called the medical to get a date and sent the package to the embassy. Two days or 3 later I got my Package 4 (i think that's how it was named) saying everything was fine and ready to attend the interview.
On the next days, this is what happened:
1. Went back to get my medical results. In my case, because my interview at the embassy was late, I got to the doctor early and they gave me the results. Make sure to have the paper that shows that you got ALL the shots needed in the US! You will need this paper later on when filing for the AOS.
2. I attended the interview at the embassy. You can check out what they asked me.
If you want to have an idea of what papers they asked me for, let me know. It might be a little different because it is another country but since we are close enough, I would say it won't be that much of a difference.
Good luck!!
