Guys question: I know its been 3 days since they received my response but I see that my date is close for the I-131 and I-765 in the Processing times. Can I or is anyone gone through this situation, ask for a info pass if our date comes up? or should we wait to see if it comes or I hear anything next month? November 18 will be officially 6 months not including the RFE TIME

I didn't get a text or email when they approved my EAD, but I have an app with the old website, so I got the notification from there, the new website was still with "biometrics complete.. "

Why didn’t  most people get their drivers license is and Social Security number  when they first moved? I’m just seeing all the problems you’re having now? I did it soon as I moved I got both things. And then I found for AOS.

It's not that easy in some states. At least no with the driver license. I got my ssn when I came. Tried to get driver license and they asked to show them at least my EAD

I guess I don’t understand is, why my case is still on NBC , just lying there without anybody to look at.

I have my account online and nothing changed since my biometric appointment.

i guess your case is in the local office now so you are in a line waiting for interview. But my case is still in NBC ..

    Thanks

Well, my status never changed like others "ready to schedule interview"  AOS says they received my rfe and they are working on my case now.

EAD and AP say they got my biometrics and they will tell me if they need something else.

Let's hope we are gonna get some good news soon.

Anyone knows that, why after my biometric appointment, my case status never changed to ready for an interview. I called uscis and my case is still in NVC. Seems nobody looked into my case at all? I even didn’t get RFE. I wonder who requested RFE, the NVC or local office? If you get RFE, does that mean your case is in local office already? Thanks

    NBC*

I think it depends because AOS goes to local office and EAD and AP stay in NBC. With my rfe I had to send my document to I would say my local office.

I don't know if you already have an account but you can try checking your status here https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

  7. I came with a k1, my husband has Health insurance because of his dad so I couldn't have been added and he started looking for options in the marketplace, we found a really good option but my husband is gonna be with his dad's insurance till November so he got a temporary (3 months) health insurance for me. It's not that expensive, he's paying $58 monthly I think. I have never used it but we wanted to have it just in case.

This is the name of the place, maybe you can ask there. I dont have AOS yet but I already applied. I don't really know if that's a problem but looks like it worked for us.

You had to turn in your whole AOS paperwork again? The Form -765 or just the documentation that supports it? Because we were not told that option on our RFE just the evidence portion.

Yea I was concerned about having to send the whole i485 packet again.. I was thinking they could lose the package while waiting for my response . But I only send the birth certificate, the translation and the copy of the rfe letter.

The good news is that they updated my status, it says they got my documents and they are gonna start working on my case again.

That is what we are figuring. We called USCIS yesterday and the Frontline agent stated that we needed a document with her Married name on it. That is why we were confused. We sent 2 copies of our marriage certificate for each form I-485, I-131,I-765. the only thing that was getting us is that the Marriage Certificate was signed in her maiden name. And we dont have any other document (Drivers License,SS card ,etc) with her married name on it. We were just worried that they saw that our marriage certificate signed in her maiden name was the issue.

We ended up sending copies of our marriage certificate along with the other original papers like before. Her visa picture, her Germany  Id , marriage certificate. All have her maiden name but the marriage certificate. We are hoping that they just lost the paper work since its handled at  a different department. Of course they would not say that they did and issues us an RFE. Fingers crossed

Well my marriage certificate has my maiden name too but I sent it like that no issues till now, I did got a rfe though but I think it's like you said they might have lost it. They asked me for Aos my birth certificate with the translation. I had to resend it.

    ood Afternoon ALL,

So my wife got a letter from USCIS for a Request for Evidence. The following is what the letter is

" The name you provided on form I-131 and I -765 did not match what the name you have on file in our USCIS records."
    -Please provide a copy of
-A government issued identity document (ID) such as your birth certificate
    -Your passport identity page
-Your Visa issued by a foreign consulate, or
    -Your National ID
"If your legal name has changed since your identity document was issued, you must also submit a copy of proof of your name change , such as your marriage certificate"

Okay, so my wife and i Got married and she is taking my last name. The thing that has us worried/scared is that all of her documents are signed in her maiden name. The marriage certificate is in her maiden name since the court said that she can change her name later. However when she came to the U.S. we didnt get her social security card since we wanted to get it with the I-765 since there was an option to obtain one with the EAD card. We already did our biometrics and she signed the documentation with her married and they had no issued as we provided the marriage certificate. So she filled the forms with her married name and under others names used we put her maiden name. We are just confused and scared because we thought we are on the right track and are doing everything correctly. Now we are feeling defeated since this is such a long wait and we dont want to have to start over because a person from the USCIS doesnt get what a marriage certificate is and that even if it is sifgned with the maiden name that you can use the surname of the husband.

Does anyone have any experience with this? What did you do? Did you sign your documents with your married name? IF so did you also get a RFE? Please any answers or suggestions help

You should send them your marriage certificate. That's the proof for the change of name.
