Any updates from July filers? This thread went really quiet. 😴
-
@iwir SF seems a lot slower than most cities in the US by many months. I'm seeing lots of interviews/approvals for people that filed months after us.
At what point does this become a financial burden for everyone?
-
Any updates from anyone that filed in SF? Has anyone had their interview recently?
We filed last July. Still waiting.

Hi all, I filed in July 2018 in San Jose, CA. Wondering if there’s anyone else with a PD near mine also in SJ who is waiting for interview? I know someone who filed in June 2018 and his interview was in this past May so I’m a little concerned I haven’t heard anything from them yet.
Filed July 2018 in San Francisco. Still waiting.
Best of luck to you for a speedy interview and approval.

No idea. I was going through the online application process and I had to choose whether I'm a us citizen or work permit holder. Me clicking work permit always results in me not being able to submit the application 🤷🏻♀️ oh well!

My wife is having the same issue.
It seems companies are regularly violating federal employment discrimination laws.
We started a thread on this topic, if you're interested:

Side note: I usually have to explain this to smaller companies that don't deal often with immigration.
Thanks @C90. This employer has 275,000 employees and offices throughout the world. They conducted a review with a legal team of specialists in immigration. I'm shocked this was the conclusion. Thanks again for your advice.

Hi Everyone,Hoping for your thoughts. My wife arrived in the US on a K1 visa and we have completed all necessary steps accordingly. We applied for my wife's AOS in June and received her EAD in October.Recently, she had interviews for positions she was qualified for and was told that she needed a green card before they were willing to provide her employment. One said she had to have an EAD that was valid for two years (or a green card). As far as I know, USCIS only issues an EAD for one year pending acceptance of her I-485, with the possibility to renew if pending expiration prior to completion of the green card process.I've seen other posts on this topic from years ago, but in light of the current administration, I wanted to share this and wondered if others are facing the same situation. Is this typical?

Hi All,
8/3 "received date" petitioner here.
Hard copy NOA2 in the mail today! No RFE. Approved!!!
2/20 Notice data (my timeline has been updated for everyone).
Special thanks to @Naes and the other data analysts that have provided their volunteer time to keep all of us informed.
A reminder that @Naes and the other volunteers are using cases (data) to estimate timelines. None of these folks represent the US Govt.
In other words, please dont send them nasty messages about the timelines they are providing.
To those waiting, stay strong and happy. Your relationship will benefit tremendously. Spend the time saving, budgeting and thinking about your future relationship. Also a thanks to those that have kept this thread positive. As the second poster in August, I had to step away due to the panic and anxiety that was created. Let's keep it on the positive and support each other. This isn't a fun experience for anyone. Share the love. Let's help eachother. That's what VJ means to me.

I forgot to check the mail yesterday and couldn't believe what I found this morning.. an approval in hand; despite the website and app still both showing no update since the NOA1.
NOA1 - August 2nd.
NOA2 - February 13th (received in the mail today, 2/19/2018).
Stay strong everyone; even if it feels like stalemate just waiting..
Congrats!!!
You received mail via USPS on Monday, February 19 (a Federal holiday)?

Only 2 cases in my scan are showing approvals (8/3 noa1). I wonder if one of the adjudicators left our batch in the parking lot.
I wonder how many sq feet their warehouse is.
Congrats to all recently approved petitioners!!

wow if you look at those charts its nearly a 1:1 ratio for rfe vs approval. jeez.....I can remember a time where 1 in 100 got an rfe
I wonder if these are mostly because of the new vs old form.

Please guys oh please when September starts try to stay calm... I'm a September filer and it would break me in two if while doing both scans people continuously dissed my situation... extremely tiresome every time this happens! And it's so funny cause this really happens every time!
Don't let it bother you. Everyone who actually reads the forum knows how helpful, positive and supportive you have been.
I keep my depressing comments off the forum.

There is no case in August 9 approved today.
I scanned 50 cases from my NOA1 date, Aug 3...no activity.
3 minutes ago, Naes said:Which is funny as I remember them being extremely happy when they started and june was crying in pain...
I dont understand these people. Waiting for USCIS isn't a competitive sport. We should be grateful for any progress being made. The more progress, the better.

Was Aug 9 an expedited case that was approved a while back?
The July thread is getting ruthless. I had to step away from that today....ugly.

we're doing ok. Thanks @Naes !!!
I wouldn't go through this process again (nor would I suggest any one else go through it), but I wouldn't trade this situation for anything. I feel very lucky to have met my fiance. She's the best thing I have in my life.
February quickly approaches.
