Yes when you see updates on the CEAC it’s a good sign. It took about 10 days from when we submitted a missing document from AP to Issued. As Hank mentioned it’s normal and just keep an eye out on the CEAC and eventually it will changed to Non-Immigrant Visa then shortly will be “Issued” Provided your medical has no red flags. Just check out my timeline 😀

Don’t lose heart. My fiancé and I have been talking to one another for over 2 years and when we first met he proposed to me on the last day. Although we’ve been talking longer, as long as you’re able to prove through your letter of intent to marry the legitimacy of your relationship I think you should be fine. I’ve heard of many different scenarios but the worst thing you can do while on this journey is to worry about everything. 
Make sure you prepare for everything. Saving the money for fees, medical exams and trips. Have all the documents and study the questions to prepare your fiancé for the interview. As long as you know you’re doing this for honest reasons and you want to be together that’s all that matters.

The question says have you "used drugs".   Trying pot once a decade ago isn't "drug use".  Up to you.

I use airfarewatchdog.com  I am able to set alerts for flights.  They let me know when an airline has a special rate.  Usually for a week long trip.
 
As an example, just got this notice today.  We are going to PI in August for 3 weeks and on PAL from JFK, I got tickets for $660 each.  Pick your airlines and sign up for notifications of specials.

I know it hurts right now and you feel disappointed but understand this is something that you tried your best but just didn’t work out. Move on with your life and get past these feelings of remorse so that you can clear your head and find the real happiness that is destined for you. But it won’t happen if you don’t help yourself or if you persecute yourself for trying and not finding true love in this experience. You have your whole life ahead of you and you’re still young. Just follow your instinct, get away and be safe. You owe him nothing but you have a duty to yourself to be safe and open your heart to find true happiness. If you feel compelled to stay then seek counseling together and if he is not willing then there is your answer. it’s not overly complicated but I recommend you visit before you send your packet so you can include pictures together, airline boarding passes, itinerary for your visit and chat logs. Do all that before your petition! you don’t need several visits as the USCIS requirement is to have met at least once during the “last” two years.Its on the application read it. Also there are a lot of youtube videos with tutorials on how to organize your petition so check them out. Move your questions to the Philippine forum as you will get specifics for that country that you will need. You don’t need engagement rings or wedding plans included just the affidavit statement of intent to marry from each of you. You have come to a great place for resources, information and moral support here. yes absolutely! while each K1 case is unique- use those as a guide and not to solely rely on them. I used a combination of VJ advice and some videos and we managed. I considered legal counsel or services like Rapid Visa but they can’t do anything more than you can. plus you are more likely to be more cautious and thorough since you’re the one emotionally vested in the process. I cannot emphasize enough how great this site is and how useful. Both in an advisory aspect as well as for emotional support. One tip is ALWAYS ALWAYS do a search before you post a question you’ll be surprised how often or common your question actually may be. Good luck and Godspeed

Like you this will not determine my outcome if I have to swim back to the PI I don’t care I will go home and marry my fiancé! Stay strong and may your journey be hopeful and with a positive outcome. yes unfortunately so..... but I will say the harder it gets the greater the love grows for us. I am sure for others as well and i pray for everyone’s reunion and happiness 

I'm not going to worry about this anymore, US government isn't going to prevent me being with the woman I love, the woman I decided to be my life partner so I'm not going to worry. if ends up being denied, we will do the 130 route, I will go to the phils and get married there. then do 130 and if that fails I will look into selling my house and cars and moving to the phils, which is the last option. So I look at it as plan A , B and C
A = K1
B = 130 Spousal visa , stay in Philippines 30 days then back to USA for 60 , and keep doing that until 130 visa is/if issued
C = Migrate to Philippines.

and John, hope your plan works. if mine cant resolve soon then I will do CR-1 as well and get married! I love my girl and USA officials will not prevent us being together, one way or another we will, even if I have to move to the phils and live.
