S_Flores reacted to Chancy in Rescheduling Oath Ceremony
OP would no longer be a Filipino after taking the US oath.  Their existing Philippine passport would be void by PH law.  Unless OP applies to reacquire Filipino citizenship and gets a new PH passport prior to travel (which will likely take longer than applying for emergency US passport), OP would not have a valid passport for travel.  Rescheduling the oath ceremony is really the only option, if OP needs to travel asap.

You said this in "interview waiver" renewal, correct?  We just did this for my wife.

There is not an "Interview Waiver" letter.  When you finish the online registration, you will get a Confirmation with Confirmation number.  This is the same for a new or renewal.

The difference for "Interview Waiver" renewal is that you follow the instructions and send the packet to the Embassy, including the requested items.  You don't schedule an appointment unless the deny the interview waiver and request an interview.

My opinion is that she is fine to travel in Jan/Feb then when she returns, finish the renewal process.

Received our biometrics letter yesterday - appointment set for August 30th - exactly one month after NOA1 date.

As for DMV - here in Charlotte - we got Ana her NC ID but it will expire on Sept.8th (when the I-94 expires).  Dude at DMV was pretty knowlegeable - says they can only authorize the ID / License per the I-94 or the next document we receive from USCIS - presumably here temporary green card.  When we receive the temp. green card (the validity period will be shown) - we go back to DMV to extend the expiration date on her ID..

Hello guys. I don't know what to feel right now.

I had my interview last May 8 and it went fine. Just the usual questions, they asked me about how we met, his age and his birthday and if we've traveled together. It was very quick.

Then my case went to "Administrative Processing". So I asked them if they need anything from me, this was their response:

    "Dear Madam:

At this time nothing is needed from you.
We will contact you if we need anything in your case.

    Thank you."

It's been a week since my interview, and still no update. So I e-mailed them again asking if there's a problem with our case and what "Administrative Processing" means. This was their response:

    "Dear Madam:

It is just under administrative processing , no other details.
Once your case is finished we will contact you.

    Thank you."

I check the CEAC website everyday and the last time they updated my case was May 9. Sigh. All this waiting is making me overthink. I'm seriously worried.

They will look at your family's total income from all sources and compare to the poverty level guidelines. They will also look at his 2016 tax information at lie 22 and use that number in their evaluation. BTW the Embassy uses the I-134 for the evaluation if your ability to earn and not become a ward of the state.

    RANT POST (I'M SORRY)

Disclaimer: I don't mean for any advice. I just wanted to rant somewhere. I'm sorry, I know this is not the place for it. I have discussed it with my partner and I fully understand there is no way around our situation. I just want to let my frustrations off my shoulders somewhere.

Guys, my interview is next Tuesday, on the 24th but I just want to say how unhappy I am with this entire thing. I feel so deeply in my heart that it's one of the worse times to migrate to US, half because I come from a really safe, prosperous and no-nonsense country. America is so alien to me because I feel there is a lot of hate in this country and a lot of debatable situations. Its residents are really open -- full of really friendly people, however in Singapore, we would consider people like this busybodies. Also, in Singapore we live in small flats(think apartment size) and don't need cars to get anywhere.

I very much want to be with my fiancé but I wish that my fiancé could have migrated to Singapore instead as I am so uncomfortable with the idea of being in US. However, we agreed long ago that the most feasible route is for me to migrate (for various reasons I think will be too TMI for me to disclose).

And this extended wait time DOES NOT make it any better. We are all in the same boat - it is taking 2 months longer than the original wait time (as in 4 months, I understand the website says 6, but before our batch, it was always 3 to 4 months from NOA1 to NOA2). And 6+ months wait is for the luckiest of us. In all that extra wait time, US proves to be even more uneasy (for me) to move to. I feel so cornered into a decision I wish I didn't have to make.

I am still going along with the interview and the process for the sake of my fiancé as he spent a lot of money on my migration including a new home and he is also helping me with the transition. I am just still very uncomfortable with it and wish I didn't have to leave Singapore.

    (SORRY AGAIN)

You can book either a one way or a round trip doesn't matter to immigration. Of course choosing the one that his cheapest is in your best interest. BUT!!!!!

Embassy states in their letter: Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of property, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you. Generally, a single-entry fiancé(e) (K-1) non-immigrant visa is valid for six months from the date of issuance, unless its validity is limited by medical or other restrictions.

To determine if you will have no issues for the financial part which is to say do you meet the financial standards here is the link to the poverty guidelines.
    https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

The rule of thumb is if you have submitted your taxes and they have been excepted by the IRS then use the latest submission. To determine this see if you can get a 2017 ITR from the IRS for the interview.  If you have not filed then use 2016. All will be fine.

You need to relax. You're going to get through this. Just read what is required, gather what is required and bring to the interview what is required. It's that simple. The interview will last all but 5 minutes. You're getting yourself all worked up.

You just made my day.   If more people helped others where  information is not readily available, as is your case, then how much easier it would be for others. Now I wish those who get help from others were more thankful much like you are. Keep looking forward and you will soon have your visa in your hands.

Thank you very much. I really wish this will be over soon. LOL. I started writing a blog for the process here in Qatar. Coz there are a lot of posts in the Philippines and in other countries, but I haven't found one for Qatar. Who knows, maybe in the future people can use my experience to guide them through the K1 process.  Anyway, thanks again.

Each embassy can be different. I think you will have to keep searching for the Embassy Letter so that you can keep moving forward. At this time I don't think I can be of much help.

I did find this. You can look through it and glean what you can. PM somebody in the thread there and ask for help.
