I applied for my ssn with my married name 2 weeks after the wedding. They only asked for my passport and marriage cert.

I think it would be ok, but you are opening yourself up to 3 chances of part of the payment getting lost. I personally wouldn't risk it. Check with local banks and or credit unions. Preferably a credit union usually will not gouge you too bad for a cashier check ( 7-10 dollars). If you go to a more mainstream bank ( I'll use Bank of America as an example because I hate them) they can charge 15-30 dollars for a simple cashier check. Look online, or just call around to a few banks and ask them what they charge. Now is not the time to try and save a few bucks. I am all about cheap, and I am first in line for the Cheapest guy of the year award I am sure, but on a payment this important I would drop the money for a Cashier Check.

As the other poster has said, you can pay via credit card, that is what I am going to do, I'll get 3 times points even.... Nice!!!

Finally!! Ustraveldocs sent me email stating that my passport has been collected from embassy with tracking no. And shows "out for delivery" on the website. This is exciting 😀😀😀

Truee. It went issued on the 13th but the 15th is holiday so i guess they'd forward it monday.

Thanks for the responses. I havent received my passport yet but my friend called 2go we're on the same situation they said after it goes to Issued we have to wait 3-5 business days before USEM forwards the passports to 2go. We would also receive notifications from the embassy and 2go thru text or email. So i guess i have to wait til next week.

I just got approved for a K1 visa recently and status is showing "ISSUED" on the ceac website on 6/13/2018. Does anybody here can help me figure out how to track it from 2go? I tried it already on their website using my mnl case no. Passport no. And UID but it keeps showing invalid.

You have to wait until it says "ready" you can then pay the visa fee and schedule your interview. I believe you have to renew your NBI since you had it over 6 months already.

Hank's right. In the past they wanted you to wait till about a week after the conclusion of your menstrual cycle before doing your medical. It'd be advisable to change your plans. We would be curious if that still is the recommendation so if you don't mind return back here after your medical appointment and let us know what SLEC states is the practice concerning this.

Did they schedule the appointment for you? My brother took his fiancee for medical exam without the appointment date before the interview of course. Why not you do the same?

SLEC did have a notice about waiting until one week after to complete the medical, but that notice was removed so not sure anymore. Sorry.
