My fiancé just finished her embassy interview and she’s APPROVED! Wooo so happy! She said the interview was quite short. They asked for her affidavit of support, intent to marry, DS160 form and receipt of payment for the visa. They only asked her a few questions. When did we meet, how did we meet, when we saw each other last, what state is she going to move to, we’re either of us married before and that’s it. They told her she will have her visa within a week. We prepared a huge binder of forms and proof and information. They didn’t ask for much of it but better to be over prepared.
@Hoosier81 tell your fiancé not to be nervous. It’s not a bad process. Good luck Tuesday!
Thanks Gator and congrats!!!!!!! When do you plan on POE?
Quick question how did your fiance pay in person at the embassy or online? My fiancee is confused right now on how to pay the 265.

Hello June Flier Friends!
im checking in to see how everyone is doing! Still praying for everyone from June who is still dealing with the USCIS bastards. We got our NOA2 Jan 28 and the website still hasn’t updated our status and the post office lost our hard copy to boot. We need the NOA2 copy apparently for the AOS, so I get to call them again. My fiancé is flying to Jakarta today and she has her interview tomorrow. We are so excited! Things moved really fast once we got our NOA2. We are hoping she can get her visa by next Monday and we will buy a ticket for her to come here literally the day after. Hoping everyone else is getting close as well. I’ll post info about her interview after it’s over. Wish us luck!
My fiancee has her's next Tuesday in Jakarta if you could please let me know how it goes my fiancee is getting nervous about the interview.

Hey! So the embassy in Honduras received today our application that was approved 2/2/18 😁
One questions, hopefully someone knows the answer..
My bf lived in another country for 2 years... (Guatemala) and we did mentioned in our application. Now that I'm reviewing the docs need for interview I read that he would need to provide a police report for Guatemala as he lived there for more than 1 year...
Is this correct?
Check with the embassy most require it if I were you I would be safe than sorry and start working on getting that asap.

We argued a lot after the approval. He seemed very dismissive everytime we talked about the visa and the rest of the process. We even got to a point where we almost broke up, because to me, it felt like he didn't care. After a good heart to heart talk, I found out that he was actually panicking (mentally and emotionally) cause he wanted to do so many things to prepare for my arrival and our marriage. From giving the house a makeover to making sure all my expenses are covered, and a some other stuff. He wanted to give me a perfect house and a perfect "welcome to America". I cried when I found out about this, and all I could say to him was "Honey, I don't need a perfect house. I just want a happy home and having you there will make it perfect."
After the many weeks of drama, we got approved for the visa on Feb 27. Now this is where it all begins.
All the best to you, Rose and the kids. I'm glad your case is finally moving. Good luck on the rest of the process.
31 minutes ago, John & Rose said:Again, thank you for sharing this. That is exactly what we are going through except I need to buy her "dream house" since my 1 bedroom apartment won't be a great option. In my American eyes that is a big house with a fireplace and huge yard. For her it is a small house where we can be comfortable. Filipino women are truly amazing. While I was stressing over the American "bigger is better" she was only looking for comfort for her and the kids. I guess sometimes my idea of the "perfect" welcome to America is not actually what they truly need. They need safety and comfort and I am going to give them that.
I guess we all need to have that "heart to heart" talk with our SO. That can really relieve some of the stress (real or perceived) that we put on ourselves.
LOL OH I can soo relate to all of this I guess we are get this way! Least us guys in the USA I was in panic mode the other day I bought enough 2" hardwood plank flooring to do my entire house 2200 sq ft in the fall and might might have 1 room done before Rakhel gets here. SO I'm freaking out since I have the old floors ripped up and what is her reply to all this just wait til I get there I'll help....... Yes sometimes perfect American home isn't needed

I am just telling you that they are ok but as soon as there is a problem or a snafu then it's not their fault and they won't help you at all. Also we have seen here how they haven't sent in the proper paperwork that was sent to them thus causing RFE's and sometimes denials.
Hey I'm not here to argue you have your opinion and I have mine your not going to change my mind for me they provided great customer service and were a great value.

I don't recommend any type of visa service at all if it is a straight forward case. Just like @Boiler said we have seen cases on here where Rapidvisa seriously screwed the pooch. Stay around awhile and you will see it as well.
That's fine you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine I still recommend them for me they worked great.

Hand around, there have been horror stories and no doubt there will be more.
Your welcome to your opinion I would recommend Rapid Visa to anyone doing K1.

Some cases are simple and pretty difficult to screw up, it is when things go wrong and how they then respond, that is the sign of how worthy a service is.
I disagree on this most errors I have seen is because they were not given complete information. They can only work with what the petitioner gives them they are not mind readers.
Besides the I129f help they also give phone assistance on DS160 which helped my fiancee with her questions from their office in Manila which helped and they practiced with interview questions with her as well.
-
I used Rapid Visa and to me it was worth every penny I spent. The website was easy to use I didn't have to waste time researching anything they reviewed all my paperwork and helped my fiancee file DS160 over the phone. To me my time is worth more than the 500 I spent on their service. If you need any details just pm me.

I think I know what it is. This is on me. I was arrested and the charges were dropped and the arrest was expunged in 1991. I forgot about it. It was work related and I was the resident engineer on a job site that the town we were working in didn’t like. We had imminent domain so they had me arrested and dropped the charges an hour later. I need the police paperwork for that. I just actually read the 129F and it is obvious. The delay is my fault.
John Glad they have at least touched your 129F! and its something that you can get fixed easily hopefully in a few weeks a NOA2 finally

In the course of today we've gone from Ready, to Application Received, to Administrative Processing...good lord! Just issue it, already! In 2 days we'll be a month post-interview - never expected it to take this long at this stage. Don't trust the embassy when they say it won't be a problem to interview pending your medical results...
What happened to you guys??? Did they tell you any reason why its taking so long???

12 hrs lucky!!!!! Rakhel isn't flying out until the 25th. Yes its crazy how fast things went after NVC I still can't believe how fast Jakarta embassy is.
No just spending the week in Chicago I have a house north of Fort Wayne Indiana.
Thankfully we can ride Amtrak home from Chicago since it runs right by my house I wont have to deal with tolls or traffic on this trip.
