Kris003 reacted to Verrou in Hi everyone .Apr 2021 filer here ,just wanted an opinion
if you bring a lot of evidences and truthful, i never heard interviewer being harsh if everything is ok.
my thought is : read the from that u submitted, since its your form you should remember what u filled on the form. u should be okay

Kris003 reacted to Verrou in Hi everyone .Apr 2021 filer here ,just wanted an opinion
u cant avoid interview for naturalization anyway, so if it were me, i wont be too much worried about it
never know for sure how USCIS decide to waive an interview for ROC

Kris003 reacted to dxec in Aos approved ,question on the conditional green card
The problem is if you say ah its just 1 month and they give then the next guy says well its just 1 month and 2 weeks whats another 2 weeks?? and the next guy whats 2 months?? Next time if it says 2 years plan for 2 years and if you get early its a bonus but don't expect it and you wont be disappointed.

That reads as though you think you’re entitled to something. I know you’re venting, but I would be more aware of how things can be interpreted. The system is what it is. Some folks wait even longer, just to be reunited.

Kris003 reacted to Crazy Cat in Aos approved ,question on the conditional green card
My point was (and is) that 23 months is not 2 years..it affects all of us....if you know the law, then you should not have been surprised that you received a 2 year conditional green card....you can start preparing for removal of conditions now since you know you will need supporting evidence that your marriage is genuine.

Kris003 reacted to bravagreen in Aos approved ,question on the conditional green card
The good thing is you got your green card. There is no difference in opportunity 10 years green card can give as against 2 years. The only difference is you get to apply in 2 years times for the 10 years. That is not a big deal. I dont see why you complaining...

Kris003 reacted to Crazy Cat in Aos approved ,question on the conditional green card
An attorney can do nothing. You correctly received a conditional Green Card based on the law........just start planning for your removal of conditions in about 2 years........Unfair? hardly!!! 2 years is 24 months..not 23 months....

Kris003 reacted to Ben&Zian in Aos approved ,question on the conditional green card
Yup the date on the card when issued is the day you became an LPR, not from when you filed for AOS. In under 2 years from now you'll proceed to ROC. Nothing can do about it sorry.

Good luck. Had a friend who had an interview yesterday at federal Plaza NYC they said the same thing to her but by the time she got home there was an update that the card was being produced.

Thank you for your response ,i’m googling what ROC is lol

Sounds like you may have gotten the generic message whenever there's a computer glitch on that website.
I would call and request to speak to a L2 immigration officer who can see the actual details of your case and ask them about your case status (don't just speak to the regular customer service person who answers the phone---ask to be transferred to a L2).

Priority mail gets it there in 2-3 days, costs like $9

Kris003 reacted to Andsco in Urgent Aos question
I sent not long ago my AOS package with the EAD petition (together in the same package) and paid with 2 checks. 1 check was for $1000 and the other for $220 or so (whatever the rest is). If you send your EAD and the other one with the AOS, you don't have to pay the fees for those (it's for free).

Kris003 reacted to Going through in Urgent Aos question
Yeah the word "rejected" in big bold letters makes your heart leap into your throat lol
-
Kris003 reacted to Going through in Urgent Aos question
When you send it back with the correct payment, it will be like you never submitted it before---a brand new application, as you will
I had mine sent back a loooooooooong time ago when I was filing for AOS...because I made one of the checks out wrong ...nearly had a heart attack when I saw my entire package being sent back to me...
-
Kris003 reacted to Suss&Camm in Urgent Aos question
Correct just include the correct check - make a copy of the NOA sheet for your records and send back with that paper on top, you can add a note to it "resending with correct filing fees" or smth if you want.
Ouch! Extra $120 down the drain.. BUT it will all be alright in the end! No point beating yourself up

Kris003 reacted to Suss&Camm in Urgent Aos question
Yea ik it sucks! Happened b4 to plenty of ppl if that makes you feel better 😂
It has to be exact, whether too much or too little for the package... 🙃

Kris003 got a reaction from Going through in Urgent Aos question
Jesus Christ i paid 120$ just so they can have the package next morning at 8 am lmao .It doesn't matter it just almost gave me a heart attack.I saw all the notice of action for all the papers and its talking only for the payment ,so i guess the papers and everything else should be correct right ? Since they didn't mention anything else

See my edit
The i130 is $535 that's correct but the other one is $1225
Number of checks doesn't matter just the total amount but most send two
-
Kris003 reacted to Suss&Camm in Urgent Aos question
It's free when submitted with the i485 as is the i765.
Lol wait hang on thought you meant i131 sorry
-
Kris003 reacted to Suss&Camm in Urgent Aos question
The correct amount should have been $1225 total; $1140 aos plus $85 biometrics
