We should start sending letters to our Senators, Nebraska Filers. These senators can maybe help us out. It's so ridiculous to see that Nebraska is stuck while other centers are fast moving. It's just so unacceptable.
I agree but I don’t think it will make much of a difference at this point. I am almost certain it’s been done already. It’s unfortunate to say, but I think our senators have no control over this. Maybe sending letters to the director of USCIS would catch some attention, who knows. But I do know that the the Association of Lawyers has submitted letters to congress regarding the processing wait times. Calling it a “crisis.” And that was some time ago and obviously, even then, nothing has changed. 😒

My friend just received their approval letter...they are Dec/18 filers at Potomac. I just don’t understand how the service centers don’t work at the same pace.

Did your status on website change?
I get my mail secondhand through the landlord. I get my mail but much later.
Yes, I received a text, email and letter in us mail.

My priority date for Texas Service Center is 8/10/2018.
Your service center matters right?
I saw people on, I think it was this forum August 13 priority date getting approved.
PD 8/8/18 received RFE. TSC is working on August. So soon everyone should get some type of notice. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

No. But luckily we can get married in Argentina and start the CR1 if that's the most convenient one. We were thinking about K1 and yesterday my fiance talked to a lawyer to check if we were doing everything ok and she recommended us to do the CR1
Which one to file is up to you guys. Similar process and wait times. As soon as you get married, the petitioner should come back to the states as quickly as possible to file. Argentina embassy does not accept filings. Good luck!

We're still deciding which one is the most convenient for us
So you’re not married yet?

I'll probably get the official documents translated and add descriptions for screenshots, texts and skype convos
Yes, you definitely need all the official documents translated. If you don’t they will reject your case for incompleteness. They will keep your money and you make you start all over again. Not worth it. They also have to be certified translated, I.e., a certified statement will be attached to the actual English translated documents. I use The Spanish Group. They are online and do everything electronically. It was the most convenient and they translate for immigration documents all the time. I’ve listed their website below.

Yes!!!! Now I know what you are referring to! Uscis and department of state need to correct the typo. You have no idea how much this has helped!!!
13 minutes ago, Greekwife said:Most likely what you submitted is a divorce certificate rather than a divorce decree. In this decree there is always a stamp by the court.
I think that is what they ask for.
Yes that’s exactly how it happened. Thank you so much!

Every legal document in another language other than English must be translated. However, we submitted text messages that are in Spanish and we didn’t translate and had no issues. I assume they wouldn’t expect someone to translate so many pages of text messages, what it costs per page to have something translated, that would cost fortune.

Hi there,
I have already asked this question in another group but no one seems to have the info I’m looking for. I received RFE for my 130. My husband (beneficiary) was previously divorced in Argentina. Uscis is asking for “sentencia de divorcio”. He went to court house yesterday and requested it, they told him to come back and pick up on Monday. Then uscis states it should have a security feature on the document which they translate into “sello medulla” no one in Argentina has any idea what this means. Has someone ever received this document and what should it look like? This is our one and only chance to submit this. Our lawyer doesn’t even know what it should look like. Thank you so much!

I'm glad to be helping out!
I don´t know about sentencia de divorcio because neither me or my fiancee were married before.
What I know is that is a paper a judge sign saying the marriage is over and definitive through documents
Yes, that is what we originally sent with our 130 and they were not satisfied with that. But nowhere on the document it said sentencia. Unfortunately, my lawyer is of no help. He doesn’t even know what it should look like. Makes me a bit nervous, because and RFE Is your one and only chance to get them what they want before they approve. There are no second chances. Another thing I’ve added to my OCD list now. 🤯 but thank you. I’m going someone in this group was divorced in Argentina and can help me. 🙏🏼

What does a sentencia de divorcio from Argentina look like? We have received an RFE and this is what they are requesting, what we submitted was not what they asked for. Does it say sentencia somewhere on the document? Thank you!

From what I read in different forums an threads is a mandatory that the police certificate says 'con excepción del artículo 51 de código penal'. I read on a facebook group from someone that missed this and they were in 'administrative processing' for two weeks after the intereview.
If he did it recently, he should reclaim to be corrected it. I specificaly said that it was for the embassy too and the woman that helped me out told e was the first time he was doing this kind of police certificate and did it anyway with everything on it.
He is from Córdoba too? Tell me if I was helpfull or if you need something else
Thank you so much! You have been very helpful. We didn’t know it expires in 90 days. We thought it was good for 1 year. He will request again when the time is closer. Again, thank you.

I´m not sure if you have to travel for that. It will be better if you call the Registro Nacional de Reincidencia for your specific case, I believe you should be able to do it in Cordoba as well, please make sure you mention to the RNR representative to do it with excemption on the 51 cod. and explain you need it for the US Embassy for an immigrant k1 visa.
I am trying to get information on the Police Certificate. My husband (beneficiary) received his police certificate from RNR. However, no where on the document does it mention the excemption on 51 code. He did tell them It was for visa at embassy. Thank you.

I did my police certificate here in Cordoba yesterday. I'm going to write down how I did it just in case anyone from Cordoba too needs information.
I went to www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar and tried to do it online. I wasn't able to do it because my finger prints were never taken
In the same website I clicked TRAMITES PARTICULARES, Certificado de Antecedentes Penales ----- INICIA TU TRÁMITE ------ TRAMITE PRESENCIAL
In the page that opens I chose Argentina---Cordoba----Cordoba and the I picked the option ------ Delegación UER Ministerio de Justicia de la Pcia. de Córdoba (COR) in Rosario de Santa Fe 254, Barrio Centro
Then you continue clicking in SIGUIENTE ----- then chose the option to pay $180 pesos to have it in 24 hs
A new page will open where you will complete all your personal information. When you are done, print that form with a copy of your DNI because you will need it for the appointent
To pay the fee you can chose to pay through RAPIPAGO or PAGOMISCUENTAS (save the receipt to take it to the appointment)
You have to had a CIDI account (CIUDADANO DIGITAL) to make an appointment and then you can go to ------turnero.cba.gov.ar/turnos-----
In the TURNERO page, click in RESERVAR TURNOS ONLINE ------- then SEARCH: CERTIFICADO ANTECEDENTES PENALES REINCIDENCIA and chose your date
That's it. I hope it works!
My husband requested his police certificate the same way and I retrieved it via the code they sent to the email. No where on the certificate does it say penales con excepción al artículo 51 de código penal. When he went to his appointment he told them this was for the embassy and he gave them this wording and they said not to worry. Is this correct?

Texas have touched our case!
The status update reads:
On March 28, 2019, we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number Xxxxx
Now I'll spend the next few weeks worrying about what is it that they need. Any thoughts?
I revived my notice on 3/21 and it was received in the mail yesterday so it only took a week. From what I’ve been told...when it says “initial” evidence, it’s something they need to replace a document or missing document that goes along with the or original submission of the petition. When it says “additional” evidence, it’s because they want proof of something. The one way I kept my head on during the Edit if receiving is thinking about how they didn’t send a NOID. And it said initial evidence. Coming from my experience, you will be fine and it will be something you already have or can easily obtain. Keep us updated!

Call (800) 375-5283. In case you’ve never called them before and talked to a person, follow the prompts, press 3 right after they start reading your current online status. From there you might have to request Tier 2 assistance.
if they have messed up your address change then ask them to correct it, send new notice to correct address and possibly tell you RFE details over phone since they made an error so you can work on RFE till notice arrives.
Oh...you can’t even imagine the circles I went in today with uscis. First off, your phone steps worked perfectly. I got transferred to tier 2 officer he asked me for a fax number. I wasn’t at the office and I don’t know my work fax, my secretary does all that ugh! Then, he tells me to call back with fax and they will send it over. I asked him to please at least tell me what the RFE is requesting and he told me...he said they want a certified copy of the divorce decree for my husband and his ex from Argentina. They even tell you what’s it’s called in their country and where to get it and what it should have on it. The one we sent them was not like that and I had a hunch we were going to have issues. Well, hubby is getting it tomorrow and sending to me DHL. So I can have it translated and sent off. And to think, today is our 1 year anniversary...thank you amapru..you can’t begin to imagine how much help you’ve been in this group. I truly wish your day comes very soon!!!

Good luck and hopefully you get everything sorted out. Looking at your timeline, it only took 2 days to get your NOA1 but its taking 7months for the RFE. Is this normal?

I think my sent date for the 130 is off by like 1 week. But we did get it pretty fast and the waiting of 7.5 months is normal at this point. I got the RFE and the divorce decree I sent them for my husband and his ex is not what they want. So my husband is getting the one they want tomorrow and then will DHL To me so I can get translated and fedex to them.

Maybe ask your roommate to put the notice in post box for you? I know you must be anxious over what’s in it. Could be faster than when uscis sends a new notice to your new address.
Thank you for the info. I will calll them right now to have them make corrections on address and will try to get them to tell me what it says. But I am going to actually pick up the letter after work, luckily It’s only 30 miles from my office. I will you guys know ASAP! Thank you again!!

Sooooo my ex roommate just informed me that she received notice from post office and my RFE is gojng to my old address. I have confirmation from uscis of my address change being completed on 9/24/18. What number do I call to straighten this out?? Mistake after mistake...what if i didn’t receive notification from uscis about the RFE and my friend didn’t still live at my old address? They would have denied me on their error. I can’t imagine how many people this has happened to....unreal...what number do I call at uscis to straighten out this address thing?

1 week today that uscis advised me of RFE coming my way and nothing yet...😡
