So our attorney said to we have to go by the processing times where files where originally located which in our case is the Potomac Service Center... I just check the USCIS website and was shocked to find out the their time have significantly changed from 8 - 10.5 months to this:
I just sent a inquiry on our cases... @Ayako2019 you should probably do the same...
I also sent an inquiry and received a ref#. Was told will hear back in 30 days...hmm we will see. In 30 days will be past the 60 day clock for RFE response they received. Did they give you a time frame as well?

My daughter’s ( adopted) I 130 has been at NBC since August and silent since then. My husband called USCIS last week and we got the same kind of number. Totally different from the receipt number and they are supposed to contact my husband within two weeks. Has been a week and a half. We are anxiously waiting for them to reply.
Yes, I remember you! I hope they get back to you soon with good news. Definitely give An update when you hear back. Good luck.

My pd is 9/14/18 and got a rfe for passport style photo. Did anyone got the same?
You didn’t send passport style photos with your petition?

Called Uscis this morning to get an update since it’s been 30 days since my case was transferred to nbc and neither myself or attorney has received the notice. We are now going on 10 months of this waiting game. They refused to fax me the notice. However, she gave me a confirmation referral number and said the office that has jurisdiction with contact me within 30 days. Has anyone ever received a referral number? Totally different number from receipt number.

Did any got an rfe? How long did you wait for it to come in the mail?
I received the RFE letter 1 week later. However, they sent to wrong address. Luckily it is my friends home, I got it from her. I called uscis to let them know that the letter listed the correct address but the envelope did not. And they updated a confirmation Back in sept that they changed my address. So if you’ve moved since your petition, make sure to stay on top of it.

Hey! No letter yet, and our 60 day timeline ends 13th July soooooo I'm not holding my breath. Just gonna switch off my brain until the 13th, that's the only way I'll stay sane. That will be hitting month 11 for us.. sigh. You're in my thoughts too ❤️
Hey...I’m thinking I should switch mine off too..stay sane for the both of us 🤞🏼Talk to you soon. ❤️❤️

Going on 10 months for us too. In Nebraska service center. Does anyone have any idea how long it will actually take to he approved? The processing time says 7 to 10 months but I know it’ll be longer
At this point, it is truly unknown. I am no longer paying attention to the processing times because they are not what they say. From what I’ve seen, from beginning to interview is approx 18-24 months.
I saw that congress is trying to get involved stating that the processing times have become a crisis. Uscis responded to them and congress frowned at their answers. Processing times have increased by 45%. However, application submittals have decreased. And uscis ia funded from our filing fees and they are now being forced to hand over some of the monies to cbp to help with their deportation logs. Instead of allowing uscis to allocate these funds for Recruiting. So it’s just going to get worse. Just hang tight. There is an end to everything, even this madness.

Hey! Sorry I didn't check back on this forum. Sooo basically my husband called today and they said we're getting our inquiry response in the mail. In short, it'll say that our case is actively with an agent but it's under additional review and that we'll have a decision in 60 days...... Not sure how I feel. Happy that it's finally active but a little bummed by the thought of waiting another 2 months, and even then they could stall for more time, who knows?
Hi, just checking in on you and your sanity, cause mines gone...did you get the letter? Me nothing, nada, zero, zip, zilch!! Sorry, my mentality has reached its limit...all I can do at this point is just be Sarcastic in my life. I’m drained.. please let me know. You’re in my thoughts...😘

Have you heard anything since then? My daughter’s (adopted) I 130 has been in NBC since August 26th and silence since then. It is very very frustrating not knowing the processing time!!
You have got to be kidding??!?!? Omg...my husbands 130 was transferred to NBC April 30th after 9 months at TSC and responding to RFE. Omg, please please don’t tell me I’m going to have to wait this long? My 60 day clock for the RFE response ends June 24th, if I don’t here anything, I will contact my senates office. You should contact them now as well. Did they transfer you to NBC or have you been there from the get go? Is your daughter here in the states? This is beyond ridiculous...

Going on 10 months over here...it’s the normal now. And will only get worse. I feel bad for new filers, they are in for a long wait.

Oh yes, that use to happens to me all the time, coworkers and friends always asking, I started telling them it can take up to 2 years so they will stop asking me about it. No body outside this process will understand. Can’t wait to be done with this process. It is so draining.
It’s starting to happen with just about every service center. Our case is going on 10 months and our case gets transferred to nbc at last minute after responding to RFE. And you call them and 1. Their not nice and 2. They say “you just have to wait”. I wanna scream at them and tell them they have no idea what it feels like to be told to “just wait”. All we can do is continue to have patience. Is it hard? Of course it is. Someone else has complete control over our life’s right now. 😢

I do the same thing in Arabic. Depending on the other evidence that you provide I think they are used to it by now. At least my country is on in seeing husband/wife on K1 chat logs. By the time you get to the interview they will know if you are married or not and otherwise wont care. Again country specific.
Why don’t you guys change their contact name on your phones?? And they don’t ask for your phones at the embassy level.

True.........Have seen some of those..............and I recently saw a guy who "joked" about finding a wife in the US so he could stay.....CBPO found it on his phone.......DENIED ENTRY....
Omg...I bet he learned his lesson in “joking”.

Quite common for tourist entries. At least more common than we probably think
Oh yeah definitely. This happened back in 2017 we are still going through the process. What seems to be happening now more and more is once someone is expedited from airport and then marries after the fact and then a petition is filed, petioners in the us are being interviewed at local offices. I’ve recently seen this happening more often.

1. I was referring to CBP officer who sometimes look through phones at the point of entry.......
2. Anyone can file as single.
3. There is no central marriage registration in the United States. The ONLY thing you can provide is a sworn statement that says "I am not married"........and if you present that at the interview, it very well could raise suspicion.
My husbands phone (bf at the time) was taken at POE and they searched through it and he was expedited....story of my life..

So you and I are basically in the same boat just different scenarios? My 60 day clock from when they received the RFE response is 6/24. If nothing happens by then, I will involve congress. Our case ended up at NBC, from what I read on uscis website, they are the ones that prepare for the local office to interview the petitioner. It’s like if their going to interview me here in the states, come on, just schedule the appointment already. If not, what are they waiting for? In my upset opinion, it’s all done just to delay the process. I am at least glad that you got somewhat of answer. Keep checking back in here, I’ll do the same. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

it was a date update in my case when I login to my account in the uscis app. The date is 2/4/2019.
It doesn’t say what they uodated? You should call uscis and ask. Not to get your hopes up from what I’ve seen in the past people get an update like that and they call and they find out their approved. So call...

Hello august 2018 filers! I am a Nebraska Service Center filer. Is there some news about our files ? it's been 282 days passed without any response for me. The only thing I noticed in the Uscis case tracker app is the date there got updated to 02/04/2019 . Anyone knows what that means?
I’m not even counting my days because it depresses me. But we’re going on 10 months and my case was Transferred after RFE to National Benefit Center. I was told to go by the clock of the RFE which will be 60 days on 6/24. It’s all a hot mess. When you mean the date changes is this on your case or in general?

My husband and I have lots of text messages between us. They are in mixed English and Moroccan Arabic. We would have to translate them, but translators in Morocco don’t usually translate Moroccan Arabic as it is a dialect of Arabic, and in this case not written in Arabic script. Can either one of us translate our text messages, and write an affidavit that we have knowledge of the language? Or should we still ask an official translator/do this through another method?
Also how many text conversations is a good number to include ?
Thanks!
From my understanding, text messages do not have to be translated. They just want to see conversations happening on a regular basis as normal couples do. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

They depend a lot on people being honest. Especially concerning divorces and marriages in foreign countries. In most places it is impractical for them to find out this information...
I guess if you’ve never been married before, they don’t know. I got an RFE because they wanted a different type of divorce decree from my husband.

What does that mean thst your case is not supported by the uscis online filing system. Hopefully by the time you get this, you’ve called. Yes, I received an RFE but this was before the petition was transferred to nbc. It was just for additional info.
