I haven't visited since August so no new photos etc.. We initially sent in a few pages of photos, messages, calls, facetimes, and I was there with him for 4 visits (2 months, 3 months, 3 months, then 6 months) but we got married on an impromptu trip to vegas, just the 2 of us, and I think that looks really bad. but I was 23 I wasn't thinking about what immigration would think!

because I'm paranoid and don't trust this process at all 😅

Well, if you get an RFE for more evidence. I will as wells my attorney didn’t have us send even anything close to that. Just pictures. But I have everything else you mentioned dating back to 2016. Unfortunately I don’t get to see him often. I have my daughter, my job and it’s approx 950 round trip for a ticket to go see him. Please please please keep us updated as to what the RFE is for. Hopefully it’s something basic...btw, what does the email say? How do you know It’s an RFE

Me too it's bordering on OCD at this point..

Lol...thank you for making me laugh for the day! But it’s definitely true! 🤗

How nice would it be if they added a case update when they touch your file...would save lots of people so much of that extra stress and worrying for however amount of time they take to work on each file.

Omg, I was just telling my co-worker that today. At least knowing it’s in someone’s hands and not sitting in an inbox.

and I told you normally it is right after the check is cashed and 7-10 days from when it arrived, since you tracked it now from the date it arrived count 7-10 business days.

Where are you getting your processing times information from for a solo 212? The processing times are a bit different 1. When it’s a solo filed 212 and 2. If the only inadmissibilty is expedited removal with 5 year ban. An important thing to remember is, solo 212 filed for I-130 petitions are filed with local offices, they don’t go to either service centers you mentioned. Those seem to be the quickest ones processed. Solo 212 filed for K visas, are sent to Phoenix and then will be forwarded to local office. I believe what you are referring to is when a 212 is filed along with a 601, which in this case, is not needed. Very different scenarios.

opps... sorry i read it too fast.... it was from someone else...

From what I have seen many times. What seems to happen a lot is your case status on uscis will show no updates then all the sudden you receive approval notice in the mail. They are also delayed on updating their case status on their own website. So, everyday (several times a day) I check the website and my app. And I check my mail at home everyday. I can almost guess that they won’t all be updated at the same time. But as of right now, uscis oficial website case status is the most important one.

    This wait is killing us...

Yes, same! I was so happy that our petition went to Texas and then.. lol. On the website it says 6.5 months to 8.5 months, August filers are already on month no. 7 so not long now either way :)

Hopefully not too much longer. But don’t forget, they are infamous for sending out RFE’s at the last minute. And I look at Potomac and get even more depressed when I see people that filed their 130 3 months after me are being approved. Where is the fairness in that. At this point, what would have been constructive management is to transfer files to the faster processing centers. As a CPA, it only would seem like the “intelligent” thing to do.

Calling them is somehow useless, when my husband called last time the agent told him that's its still on process and just wait for an email. (I gave him the number given on the previous thread)

It’s true..there is nothing any of us can do. I’ve seen people’s Petitions pending for over a year for no reason....they can slow down processing at anytime for any reason when given direction to do so. It is the shadiest government system in place.  You can have the best attorney out there and still there is nothing you can do to speed them up. I remember when we sent our petition 7 months ago. I hoped it would end up either in Vermont or Texas because of how fast the processing times were. Never thought it would slow down this way. It is truly sad...

That’s great research. I also played around with it yesterday. Couldn’t get to the August approvals you’re talking about but I’ll take your word for it haha.

What we should also realize is even this is not ALL the cases. This app is not an official one so all the thousands of cases we see on this app are people that are using this app to track their cases. Such violation of privacy/security from this app to show your case numbers to others. I wouldn’t think a lot of people would like the app to do that, only if they knew.

On the bright part, updates on the cases on this app are directly from USCIS and not dependent on the fact that the person has to come back and update their status.

So it’s sorta confirmed, not many August approvals as of yet. Hopefully they pick it up in March.

I was told long ago by who I think was one of the admins on VJ, that you have to manually update your case on here. They can not automatically link your information to VJ from uscis because VJ doesn’t have your receipt number.

I agree that it would have been nice to see some August approvals here given the way things have been going the last few months (I have been watching sadly as my VJ timeline estimate has gone from March to May).

That being said, Texas received 37,814 I-130 applications from July 1st - September 30th 2018 (they just released their data the other day) and there are only 89 petitions on Igor's list from that time. So we're only seeing 0.2% of applications on here for that time, which makes me feel a lot better about the fact that we haven't seen any August approvals here yet.

I always say, VJ is just a small piece of a giant puzzle. But, it’s also terrible when they have your petition pending for so long and decide to send over RFE’s at the last minute.

Interesting. I didn’t know that app had such a capability. I’ll try. But yes I’ve been hoping for some August approvals, none so far on VJ which is disheartening.

The one thing I keep in mind  always with VJ is people don’t come back to update their status. Hopefully that gives you a little more hope like it does to me.

I think now is the time to call. Maybe they’re  still on vacation over there, who knows😩... I’m October filer but following this group because if August gets approved, it let’s me know that I’m getting close to approval too. But at 6 months, I think you guys should be calling. Potomac service center is already working on October. This long process is ridiculous and we’re not even half way thru....

What number do you call to get an actual live person? I’ve called the general number from their website and it doesn’t give me option to speak with a person. It seems to be all automated and tells me the same thing in regards to my case that I see on line, “case was received.” 🤯🤯
