The DS-160 is simply the Fiancee "VISA" Application. It will not update anything on CEAC that I'm aware of. It can take some time to fill out and depending upon your internet connection it can be buggy so best to do it sooner than later.
Was this meant for @Mattagba? Lol

Finally got around to filling out the DS-160 a few days ago. I check it today and It shows "NO STATUS". We wont be able to schedule the Medical until later in the week
Is the DS-160 status going to change before or after the interview? Thank you
I did everything on the same day, filled out the DS-160 then called knightsbridge and then finally booked my interview. I don't believe the status for the DS-160 means anything, i have never seen anybody mention it.

So i got my letter from the embassy yesterday (Packet 3), what was concerning was the envelope on one end had been sliced completely open. Luckily there was an itinerary in the envelope and nothing was missing.
Anyway... at least i don't have to worry about not having the letter for my medical- janet3, RaptureSongbird and FlashLG

Great news, congrats!
I was surprised at how long it took for August to fill up, all the dates did finally get taken but that wasn't until around the 15th. With your medical not until the 28th you've got plenty of time to receive packet 3 from the embassy, if they decide to send it, to take with you to Knightsbridge. So glad to see you so close now!
Thank you! It is such a relief to be at this stage now these 4 weeks cant come quick enough to get my approval
That was in the back of my head about the letter, so now I'm giving it 3 weeks to show up so fingers crossed i get it. I've printed of a screenshot of the ready status on NVC just in case. -

Medical & interview scheduled
Medical will on the 28th September and interview will be on the 10th October..... I was so shocked as there were interview slots for the 20th September! But due to work I've chose later dates which is fine with me as I've decided to fly out on the 18th November! I'm so excited that I'm currently sat at my desk in work like- Me and her, FlashLG, Estibaliz and 6 others

If it's in transit, they use an electronic system, it will be ready in 24 hours or less most likely.
Yep i seen that, I'm so glad this part is fast compared to waiting 173 days for our NOA2!

We didn't book our medical until after the completion of the DS-160 simply because that's the order that the London consulate website instructed. The thing is, it didn't matter because it took 1 hour to complete the DS-160 and then we scheduled the medical on the exact same day.
That's good to know, as it went into transit last night I'm hoping by tonight / tomorrow morning it goes to ready and i can get everything done and dusted tomorrow

As long as you don't submit the DS-160 until after CEAC says Ready then you can go ahead and get started on it. You need to write down your Application ID number and you can work on the DS-160, it will save as you go along, and then you can exit out and come back in with that number to finish it and submit it.
Ah okay, thank you for helping me out, it really is appreciated

As soon as you have your LND number you can call and book at Knightsbridge. I would go ahead and call them today if you can and get your appointment booked as they are usually booked about 2 weeks out from the day you call. As soon as we had our LND number we booked the medical and had no issues.
Really? Ok well that's good, I'm going to give them a call in the morning then. I really want to get the DS-160 filled out whilst I'm in work but i know i cant do that either.

No problem. So, how's your timeline looking? Do you have your appointment at Knightsbridge scheduled?
I haven't booked my medical yet as i seen someone mention that it can cause an issue?

I'm beginning to panic because mine has been sat at NVC for a week since i got my case number. I know I'm overthinking, it will probably go to 'in transit' tonight and all my panicking will be for nothing haha. I'd love to have a day where I'm not panicking

Well, guys, we've got not really good news today.
Called NVC to figure out why we are still "at NVC" status.
Our case is undergoing through administrative procedures. They are unable to give a time frame. And we have to wait until they'll notify us via email for further instructions once it is released. No further information can be obtained during this time.
We will call again tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and so on and so far. This is the only thing we can do now for only God knows how long.
I'm not even upset or frustrated, I guess lost is the only word that is more appropriate.
Oh no, have you tried to google what 'administrative procedures' are exactly? I thought NVC was just the middle man passing the cases to the embassies.

On the I-134, does the signature need to be hand written? Or can it be the petitioners full name typed?
Edit: Never mind, just seen on the instructions it says 'For all signatures on this affidavit, USCIS will not accept a stamped or typewritten name in place of a signature ' ...... Damn -

Hey everyone. I dont post on here very often but Iv been lurking around and reading this board and keeping track of approvals most days just in order to keep myself sane through this process.
If it helps anyone to know, my case has FINALLY been approved. on day 148. My USC fiance called in on the 31st and after hearing the same lines again from tier 1, he demanded to speak to tier 2 (apparently you have to say the words 'I demand to speak to tier 2' as though its a secret password or something). After speaking to tier 2, he was informed that we had been listed as approved on their systems as of an hour ago. The next day the online tracker shows as approved on 1st Sept.
There are no words for how relieved we both feel that our petition hadn't somehow gotten lost down the back of a bookshelf somewhere!
Congratulations to everyone else who has received their NOA2 and Good luck to everyone still waiting.
Any advice on what the next step is now?
Yep as @AnJ Co said, have a look on my 'About me' ive put the steps that need to be taken once your at the NVC and beyond for London Congrats!

We received our number on August 25th and still awaiting to be "in transit" and "ready".
Sometimes they show activity on weekends but not sure if such holidays as Labor Day is a workday for them.
Really?! That's quite long for it to be at the NVC. When my fiance called them the guy he spoke to said they only keep our cases for a matter of days. Clearly not!
-
So tomorrow is 5 days from us receiving our case number from the NVC, with it being a holiday today in the states do you think it will go into transit tomorrow or that it will delay it a few days?
