Yeah I did my married name as well! And then showed up at the post office with my passport and military ID in maiden name, social in married name, one letter from USCIS, our lease in married name and a desperate helpless face lol
So I guess the poor guy was overwhelmed and let me do it!

But I think if the USC does it, it's enough. I can see every mail for us, also my husbands. But we live in a house!

But it's easy, you can request an in person identification, print out a barcode that comes then, go there and be done in 5 minutes. It works right away!

And... to help you calm: Once your GC comes, it comes as package! hehe I found my combocard as a surprise because it wasn't listed as letter. I didn't see that there was a (1) by packages. 

Ah yeah and for status checks... my K1 from last year still says "Petition i129f received"  And for my EAD/AP all 4 trackers are stating different things.
You got an approval info, so you're good. 
Promise me to close those trackers now

My field office is Norfolk, VA as well.
But my case still says "received". December filer.

The "ready for scheduled" status shows up for many people. You can ignore it, it says nothing. Some people have that there for months.
You will receive a "We have scheduled your interview" message once you are due!

And it turned out the letter from USCIS was running on USPS as packet. lol 
Just saw that today. Good to know... when waiting for a GC (HOPEFULLY) then I will look out for packets!

How has your relationship been this whole time? They are going to want proof and not just the stuff at the start and end.
 
Talk is cheap if you haven't kept in touch and not just once a month or even once a week,. I mean like a normal married couple who are trying to fix things. I would not believe anything has changed. You need to go see her and really see what is going on and not with your heart but with your head. The one above your shoulders. Because once she gets that visa if she has any false intentions she can enter the US anywhere and never be seen by you again. 

We had our interview today around 2:30pm. We were interviewed for 30mins. we did not get approved on the spot but after 30mins my aos updated to new card being produced. I guess that means approved

Interview completed! Adjusting from K-1 visa, we had our AOS interview yesterday morning at 8:15 AM at the local USCIS office here in Des Moines.  
Then yesterday at 4:15 PM, I got text/email notifications that my case has been updated, and when I checked My Case Status, it has changed to "My New Card Is Being Produced"...!
 
does that mean I'm approved and the next step will be receiving a GC in the mail? will there be any more case status updates?

So many people who have been asked the weirdest things (like what floors do you have at home, what brand is your washing machine) in an intimidating way.... they would love to trade, believe me.

(And they give 120 days delivery time to everything, because they don't want people to annoy.)

Received this i-797 approval today. And just got a notification saying that my green card has been mailed today. Super relieved. 

And it won't be looked, because you have skipped that entire thing.

Be ready for 3-5 months.
Mine was approved today after 136 days.

Usually they do check that! Be glad, you were lucky! 

My combocard says up to 120 days as well. I got it a week after approval.

They always give these big timeframes, so people don't come annoy after a few days.

Maria, das kann auch frueher sein. Manchmal werden da auch Termine wieder vakant, bzw das was Fippsie da gepostet hat, ist ja schon wieder "alt" hehe!



Meine Combocard is auf dem Weg. Heute kamen die beiden NOA an. Sogar mal auf fancy Papier zur Abwechslung, hehe!
