Well, hello there! Nice to know that you are doing great
Thanks!
How are things for you? Did you adjust well? -

Blagh. -
Hello fellow March Whiners!
Long time, no see! I thought, since there are new March people going to start a thread soon I might pop in and say hi to you all! :))
It's gotten silent in here - understandably, since everybody moved on with their path!
Congratulations to everyone who got married, had POE and and and... since I was here last! <3
As for us: We sent out AOS in December, have moved to a house in the meantime, still have no dog... all good!
Keep up being great, you all!
Greetings and hugs from Virginia!

@TearsOfBabylon.. From what I've heard and seen on other forums/sources the data on the Uscis website as regards processing times isn't accurate as filers from November 2017 are already receiving interview dates..
Yep, the same "accurate" as it was regarding K1 processing.
That's why I don't look and don't calculate and don't compare to others. It will happen sooner or later, and every case is different. -

Any idea what the average processing time for Norfolk office is? From PD to the actual interview?
According to USCIS they were at March 2017 by December. So they should be working on May 2017 by February.
But it only lists AOS processing times, not EAD or AP. There you can only wait. -

Dear peeps... Is anyone's local office Norfolk VA... Would really appreciate some experiences and thoughts from peeps filing from my area... Am an early January 2018 filer... I feel alone as filers from my end are quite few...
My local office is Norfolk, too. Filed middle of December, Bio in January, since then: Nothing.

Hallo!
Ich drueck euch die Daumen! Viel Glueck!
Ansonsten... fang frueh genug an, deinen Kram loszuwerden. -
They only need the most recent one! Don't worry!

Look up your NOA2.
It's on top right, printed small above the beneficiary name! -

Not true - as long as there’s a process with USCIS ongoing they have to do I-865.
Given that he has a green card and is divorced, up to her if she wants to do it. If she were to petition another person she’d still have to count him in the household until 40 quarters of work or citizenship provision has been satisfied.
Hello!
I just saw this thread and don't want to open a new one.
So just for understanding:
I'm in pending AOS (after K1) and we have moved in January. I have submitted my address change on time and it's all good with USCIS.
Now I'm wondering if my husband has to send this I-865?
I was asking the guy at the field office when I had my bio date, and he said that only I have to tell them my new address. The husband doesn't!
I'm confused now! -
As of now you can expect 6 months to NOA2, if you don't get a RFE. Maybe more!
Good luck for your journey! -

Military spouses are not required to obtain a re-entry permit nor are long stays out of the US counted against them.
I think you might mix something up.
If the service member gets stationed outside of the US and the spouse is with him ON HIS ORDERS, then you're right, and it counts as living on American soil.
OP wants to go to Taiwan because her spouse is on an UNACCOMPANIED tour.
So a long stay outside of the US could affect the residency, because if a milspouse is not on orders the rules are just like for everyone else. -
No worries.
Tricare is not a benefit in the benefit way, although you get it through the government, since you're a military spouse as well, I assume.
Governmental benefits would be something like food stamps or so.
Roughly explained. So: all good, no worries! -

America is a country where everyone has the right to practice their own religion...so why not want to live here?
USCIS obviously recognizes individual religious ideals or else they wouldn't have put in the provision for the possibility of a modified oath.
Yeah, from that point of view you are right, of course.
I didn't consider it's because of the oath. My understanding was citizenship of this country not compatible to religious ideals of of.
Thanks for the slap on the back head. Got it!
4 minutes ago, Ebunoluwa said:There are many diverse religious beliefs and the absence of religious belief in this country. It is what America is, diverse.
What does that have to do with wanting to live here ?See above.
The German didn't understand the message

Nobody HAS to apply for citizenship!
There's many people who are loooooong term green card holders.
Although I wonder why someone would want to live in a country so contrary to the own religious ideals anyway.- Brother Hesekiel, Staa, sebastianshaw and 4 others

They mean the vaccination sheet you got from the doctor who did your medical!

I came over here with 2 suitcases, 2 carry ons and had sent 6 boxes a 20kg ahead.
Mostly clothes and memories.
I have sold/given away and thrown away everything else I have owned overseas.
Been living in my fully equipped household for 12 years. It's all gone. -

@TearsOfBabylon He had a stroke but he's not dying so it's not a real emergency. I asked in case something bad is going to happen. Thank you for your answer.
That "something bad" would be a case for which an emergency AP was made.
I hope you won't have to use it!
Good luck for your further journey, a good start in the US once you come here, and best wishes for your dad!

Usually you get a note from USCIS by snail mail, stating they have received your address change.
I just did that myself, and it took about 10 days to receive the letter.
