    Ok...

Also, I feel 7 months from pd is the earliest to expect AOS interview at our field office while 20 months from pd is the latest time for AOS..

So someone like you a Dec filer should get scheduled around July or so..

People keep getting the new format of Uscis' processing times wrong.

As of their last release of current dates I have calculated for me October/November. So it should be a month later for you.

But it's all roulette. No one knows. And I have no clue if they are doing different checks for us, since I came on K1 and was already screened down to the bones when I was in Germany.

I think waiting for an interview is pointless these days, since they seem to randomly pick numbers out of a hat.

Be glad you have your combocard so early. Lots of pressure off!

Yeah, we applied for K1 almost a year ago.  Yes, we are able to be together now while we wait for AOS, but as hard as it was to not be together, I think we would have rather waited longer and done CR-1.  My husband was at least working in Jamaica and making money to pay his bills and support his son.  It's been 6 months since he's worked and the burden it's put on be as a small business owner has been very difficult.  Oh well... this is where we are now and hopefully our situation changes soon.

I totally get it. I mean, we knew what we have to expect, but still.. life for the beneficiary is on hold, and not everyone can buffer that so easily.

As for us... we are actually doing good and we are patiently waiting. Being the beneficiary I am stuck at home now since September. It made me sick. I have to get medical Vitamin D in a very high dose... sounds so stupid. And I'm not even bored. :D
It's just the being stuck at home (we live in an outskirt of a suburb) has caused that. I need to get out of the house, at least for a part time job.

Since last week I have a good reason for that, because a tooth crown broke, the damage all in all is way bigger than expected and the bill will have 5 digits. Don't know how much precisely, but it will be horrendous. So I want to get me a job asap to be able to contribute.

Plus I'm actually a social butterfly... it will be good for this girl to get back out of the house. :)

Yeah totally would do it differently if we had to do it over again.  Oh well

Yeah if I knew what I know now, or better if the K1 would take as long as it does now.
I think at this point it would make sense going for a CR-1 if someone has the chance to do so. Not much difference in the waiting time + the entire AOS would be saved.

In my case K1 did make sense, since it was pushed through so quick. But right now... CR1.

  5. So.. I just looked.
I've sent out pack 3 on July 31st and got Pack 4 on August 2nd.
There is no email that confirms them receiving paperworks.

The next you are waiting for is Pack 4, which is an email saying that you can log on to your account at US Traveldocs and schedule your interview.

That might take a few days. No worry for now!

And if you sent as Einschreiben you can track the arrival anyways.

    Hello everybody!

I wanted to ask a question to the ones who applied in December and already received their travel authorization.

All of you did a special request (job offer, ombudsmen or other) or applied for an expedite working authorization?

Is there anybody who just waited and received their combo card already?

Thank you and have a great day!

    Emilie

My applications have been received on Dec 18th, bio on Jan 12th and nothing yet.
But we haven't done any form of inquiry. We try to patiently wait it out.

    Good luck for you!

So I've been getting all my updates by calling everyone every couple of days.. We finally have our interview date and everything is running on schedule:D. The NVC and the Consulate of the Dominican Republic is actually very good with emailing instructions. Don't go by the USCIS phone app it is terrible and it is not updated the way it should be. If I went by that I would be terribly behind on all my progress. As it turned out our I-129F was approved March 7th and the app says it is still being processed. Call and inquire if you feel like its taking too long for your applications and progression of your petitions.

USCIS customer service -800-375-5283- Always ask for a Tier 2

    NVC(National Visa Center) 603-334-0700

Just a friendly FYI for everyone out there who needed the info. Good Luck all!!!:D:)

After NOA2 you track via CEAC, not the Casetracker anymore.

I assume it will be the same after Rose get's her Green Card.

    Probably :D

My K1 was approved last year in August and my Casetracker for the WAC still says "received" ;)

I just saw this crazy list of how many applications come in for each state and how many are approved denied and pending .. yikes

    https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-form-i-485-application-adjustment-status

Wow, about 9,5% denied at my local office, and they only received 527 on the top sheet of your link.
Wondering what denial reasons on family based AOS are. Hard to believe that almost 10% marriages are not bona fide.
