We had our interview in Los Angeles on 1/9 and received the permanent resident card in the mail today!
-
We have good news. Our AOS petition was approved on 1.9.19 at the interview.
Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Woohoo! My husband finally got his interview letter. January 9th!
Anyone have suggestions about where to find a good list of info and forms to bring with us to the interview?
Thanks in advance

We got the notifications of approval for work authorization and advanced parole in the mail today.
Does anyone know if that means my husband can start applying for jobs while is EAD is being printed?
Thanks!

Just an update that my combo card arrived today! Good luck to all those still waiting - hopefully yours all come soon.
Did you expedite?

Our AOS packet was last updated on 1/31/18, saying ready to schedule appointment. We haven't heard anything since then.
Normal? Should I give a call and try to find out more info?
We also haven't received any info on the EAD card.

I was pretty familiar with the K-1 process, but the AOS is just a mystery to me.
we sent our packet in early December. Received notice around 12/15.
My my husband had his finger print appointment on 1/10. We haven’t heard anything since then. Typical?

My husband's biometrics appointment is tomorrow! So far it seems like this is moving a little faster than the K-1 petition.
Anyone know how long it's currently taking to receive the combo card?
Thanks!

Soo question about health care!
We already married and sent the AOS package.. my husbands job does not offer health insurance, he gets it through the nystateofhealth system..
we were trying to add me as his wife, but they ask if I am a non-immigrant visa holder or an immigrant... on the immigrant description says that it is anyone with a lawfully status with USCIS.. so I chose immigrant.. but then at the end of the application is making me swear that I am an immigrant and it says that immigrant is anyone who is allowed to receive benefits.. I thought as K1 we were not allowed to get any benefits from the goverment.. am I right?
That's correct. You can get health insurance from private insurer, but probably not through the state health care exchange.

AP is finally done, and my Fiancé has the visa in his hands! So exited that this is almost over
He's coming to California on 9/29 and we're getting married on 10/6.
Best wishes to everyone still waiting for the NOA2's and interviews. Good luck!

My fiancé had his interview yesterday. All went well, and he was approved, pending submission of one missing document!
So excited!
Wishing everyone still waiting the best of luck.

Hi everyone! Today my visa was approved in Montreal, Canada!! I found a cheap flight to Texas a few weeks ago, so I plan on leaving September 6th if everything goes smoothly.
That's wonderful news! Congratulations. So happy for you and your Fiancé. Our interview is this Wednesday. We're both nervous but in good spirits.

it's interesting that the US embassy in CA require proof of the relationship.
If you look at the official list of documents for the embassy in the UK, it does not state anywhere that we need to provide that at the interview. Very strange.
It's not too strange. Different countries have variations of the requirements.
You're correct that the U.K. office does not explicitly ask for proof or evidence of relationship. Canada does explicitly ask for it.
Maybe it has to do with proximity, or perhaps they've had problems with K1 abuse in the past. Who knows. I just want my fiancé to be granted a visa so he can come home.

Has anyone who has been interviewed in Canada have a fiancé who is self employed? Curious about how much evidence of support they need? He makes well above the necessary limit, but is just 2 past years tax returns enough?
I would bring 3 years to be safe. And any asset information (stocks, bonds, savings accounts, real estate, etc.)
-
What do you recommend for evidence of relationship for the embassy interview?
We have a dozen or so photos of us together and with family & friends. We also have proof of joint cell phone account, joint credit card account, joint auto and renters insurance, and a joint apartment lease.
Do you think this will be sufficient? Or should we also print text history and Facebook posts?
Just want to make sure our bases are covered for the interview.
Thank you in advance for your input!

hi guys, so something weird happened to my case status. yesterday the "case last updated" date changed to 16-July from 28-June originally. has anybody seen this before and what do you think this means?
ps - i have not been able to move forward and schedule my interview despite my case being ready weeks ago because my embassy is taking forever to send me packet 3. =(
It took a bit over 2 weeks before we received packet 3. Fingers crossed yours will come soon!
-
Quick question - for the interview, do I need to bring the original NOA1 and NOA2 letters?
thank you, much appreciated!
-
Got our packet 4 today! I can't wait until this is over
-
We received the same email on 6/26/17. Today (7/13/17) we received packet 3 info via mail.

That's the weird thing. When we submitted the DS-160 at the website above we were never asked to make a payment. We had payment out and ready and it never came up. Now we have our DS-160 confirmation and have not yet paid?
We had the same experience. We completed the DS-160 and were never asked for the payment. I read on a website that it is paid at the consulate, but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't know the answer for sure, but it seems like it could be related to the revised travel ban that was partially implemented. I read something about an additional 90 days of vetting. So, that might be it. I know it's frustrating. Hang in there.

Hi all - we’re getting ready to file our I-751 next week. Can someone point me in the direction of a good list of items to send as evidence? We should have more than enough, but I want to make sure we don’t leave anything out.
thanks!
