    Hello ladies and gents,

I would really appreciate your help if you can chime in your insights.

My wife is currently on a 2 year conditional GN, which she got August 2021. I just found out that i have been offered a good job which requires us to move from KS to GA. However, I, as a petioner, recently received a traffic violation (is considered as unclassified misdemeanor in KS). I can apply for a traffic diversion once i go to the court hearing. However, i estimated that the court hearing will be somtimes in Jan or Feb 2022, and that will not look well with my new employer.

If i plead guilty with the charge, and this is my first time, how will it affect my wife's removal condition progress when she is starting to apply in May 2023?
I love her so much that i am willing to back out of the accepted offer with the new employer if it will affect my wife's case.

    Thank you

ROC is just the process to show that the relationship is still "bonafide" and it has nothing relate to your traffic violation.

My wife's 18 months extension letter is  expiring next month, should I call USCIS for infopass appointment or wait for the new extension letter(24 month). We are planning to travel overseas in the end of Dec-21. side note my case status as of right now is "case is ready for interview to schedule". If somebody can help me which number to call for infopass and what to tell the agent?

Call the hotline and ask for infopass (https://www.uscis.gov/contactcenter).

    Hello,

So, my wife case stuck in AP since Dec 2020, after her an interview. We made congressional inquiry and this is what we have received:

"Thank you for your email concerning the immigrant visa petition filed by ****** on behalf of ****** with assigned case number *******.  We completed our processing of this petition and forwarded it to the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan on November 17, 2020. Department of State records show that ****** was interviewed at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, on December 18, 2020. Currently, this case is undergoing administrative processing in order to verify her qualifications for this visa".

Thing, I didn't understand from this email that they didn't email directly to embassy which I was expecting instead they email to NVC(DOS) for my case update. I was expecting congressman to email Embassy to have them "act faster" instead they email NVC (DOS)

Am I wrong somewhere? Does anyone have same thing happen?

The power now in the hand of Embassy.

is there a sample K1 interview questionnaire in Vietnamese ? Is there anyone who can share that doc with me?
my fiancee  prefers a sample doc in Vietnamese. Any help or lead is appreicated.

    thank you.

    -Daniel

There are no sample since each case is different. Most questions will base on your documents you submitted and the relationship between you and your fiancee.

I received an email from NVC about my documents.  I live overseas with my wife and we live in China.  She is an Egyptian National.  My mother is my joint sponsor (my income doesn't count toward the money part) but the message says she needs to be added as a sponsor (which i added her as a joint sponsor) and upload her 864, etc.  So she would become the primary sponsor or still the joint sponsor, I just need to upload an 864.  I only did the 864A for her originally.

You're the petitioner, so you will be the main sponsor even your income not enough. You have to fill out one I-864 and your mother need to fill out another I-864+ supporting documents.

How to prove that my wife added me as an authorized user to her credit cards? Should we scan the credit cards? Should we look on the website of the banks to see if it’s displayed?

The problem is, my wife has multiple people as authorized user and we don’t want to display all the names, would it be OK to edit de pictures so we show to immigration that i’m an authorized user? I don’t want them to think we’re hiding anything, but also we don’t want to display infos of other people!

Maybe you guys can help us!

Scan the front of the credit card(it should be same card number, same exp date, and different name).

    Hello everybody!

As lines finally started moving I finally got my citizenship interview and finally passed it! Got certificate, applied for passport, overall smooth sailing.

BUT! What do I do now with my Ukrainian passport now that I'm waiting for US passport? I assume I need to update records in some way ? send it back? No idea what to do and can't seem to find any information on consulate site (it isn't made in a best way).

So I was hoping anyone who went through similar step can advise me either what to do, or at least where to address my question.

Thank you so much in advance!

You have to check with Ukraine embassy about it. Some countries allow dual citizenship, some don't.

    Hello,

I am peruvian/american citizen in Lima. I live here with my peruvian husband and peruvian/American daughter.

I’m planning to move back to US, as soon as possible in the next few months. My husband has American tourist visa.

I made some research about both forms. I l understand I can file i130 online, but i485 must be sent by mail.

Since we are here and I want to start the process asap to make it faster, what should I do? Submit i130 online, and mail i485 almost at the same time? We should wait here for approval? Should I send both and move to US and wait there?

Us embassy in Lima is not working at all, they are just useless and appointments they are giving are insane.

whats my best option to get his paperwork asap?
    TIA

You can file I-130, but not I-485. I-485 is AOS and it for the person already in the US.

    Hi all.

VJ has been a huge help. Thanks to all who have read and replied to our past postings. My wife has now received her Certificate of Naturalization (we used the N-400 to finally make her surname). We now have an appointment at a passport office to apply for US Passports for my wife and her 16 year old son.

For her son: we will be using his mom's Certificate of Naturalization, our marriage certificate, his Certificate of Birth (abroad), and his green card (we failed to do the I-90 update his green card when he turned 14, but the card indicates that is still valid until 2026).

For my wife we will bring her Certificate of Naturalization (and I don't think anything else for her is required).

We will also bring photo copies of every document I have listed, DS-11's, and passport photos.

Is the passport office going to need to keep her original Certificate of Naturalization? We will need her original Certificate of Naturalization to pursue her driver's license in June.

And with her recent change to her surname, I think we may need the original Certificate of Naturalization again when she updates her Social Security info.

Does anyone see a stumble ahead for us? Our appointment with the passport office is next Friday.

    Mike

The original cert of naturalization will be send together with the passport application.

    Hello,

I am a US citizen, I have submitted I have submitted an I-130 for my brother back in 2012. I received the I-797C form confirming that USCIS in Vermont received my application. at some point back in 2014, I checked the status of the application online and it says that it was approved. since then, I did not receive any communication regarding my application till today.

I reached out to USCIS via email, and got a generic response that doesn't answer your question.

Please advise the best course of action, should I lawyer up? should I wait?

    Thank you in advance

It will be around 15-20 years for Brother/Sister of USC . Your I-130 can be at NVC by now and you can contact NVC for any update.

We have filled and submitted both I-864 and DS-260 for my wife's IR-1. At the moment, we're collecting all the documents needed, and we have everything except for the police certificate.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that VN police certificate does not need to be submitted with the NVC immigrant visa application and only needs to be taken to the consulate. But I can't find where I read on this forum or its guides anymore. Did I misread?

police certificate (Ly lich tu phap so 2) must be submit at NVC, and then bring the original on the interview day.
