We are not aware of an i94... visa was processed at by uscis at preclearance in ireland. I dont think they issue one...
The I-94 was created after the beneficiary flew into the US and came threw POE. Since the K1 visa is a one-time entry visa, the I-94 takes the place of it which shows the beneficiary's current status. If the beneficiary flew to the US using the K1, he had to go through POE at customs...
The I-94 is printed off the website: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/
I would advise the beneficiary keep a copy of the I-94 and a copy of the marriage license in their wallet until they receive the NOA1 after you file the AOS. Having this one hand is proof that the beneficiary is allowed to be in the US legally since the K1 visa is no longer of valid use after entry. Once you receive the NOA1 from filing the AOS, have the beneficiary keep a copy of the NOA1 in the wallet as this will be proof that they are allowed to be in the US legally while waiting for their GC.

Hi, it appears that there are 2 threads open for the August AOS filers. Is it possible to these threads merged into one so that we are all in the same thread please?

Everyone list is different depending on what is needed, however, this is MY checklist; however, I deleted things that are based on things privy to our case. This is the mandatory requirement list. My wife put "Unknown" and it was fine. I wouldn't leave it blank personally.
Great....thank you so much. With this new policy that USCIS will be enforcing on Sept 11th, I just want to be sure I have everything correct and accurate.

The form is general as it applies to numerous circumstances for applying for AP. For AP due to a pending I-485, no reason is necessary and no date is needed.
3 minutes ago, Ben&Zian said:Nope shouldn't have to put anything or any date honestly. Just because you apply for it doesn't mean you intend to use it. Most of us don't intend to but get it just in case.
So I can leave Part 4 blank for the "purpose of travel" just like before? Or do I put unknown?
Only asking because the instructions say to not leave anything blank and to put either "N/A" or "None" if the question doesn't pertain to you.

Hi,
I have searched through VJ for a more "current" answer to this question because the previous answers that I found seem to be "outdated" since the 12/23/16 instructions for this form. However, I apologize for the repetitive question if I overlooked it. I am about to mail off my husband's AOS package with EAD/AP attached and for the AP, the instructions say: "
"Advance Parole Document for Individuals Who Are Currently in the United States - You must complete Part 4. of the form indicating how your intended travel fits within 1 of the 3 purposes below" (i.e., Educational Purposes, Employment Purposes and Humanitarian Purposes.
Now, I have read previous posts saying that I can leave this blank, and I don't have to add a Date of Intended Departure since I'm filing this with the I-485. However, the responses that have said this seem to be prior to 12/23/16 instruction packet. Since the instructions are now saying Part 4 must be completed...what should I put for a reason for the purpose of travel and should I pick any future date of intended departure?
Thanks!

Question #24: what is your current immigration status? Married to us citizen?
Just put K1 Visa Holder again for this question

Hi, one more question on the K1 approval letter theres a A#next to fiancee name do I us that in the form I485- top?
Yes

If any one can help me with these questions.
#16 travel doc number? is that the nvc #? - put N/A since you came on a K1 visa. unless you have a different travel document number (like an AP travel #) that you used when arriving into the US
#22: K1 goes under 22a? - K1 Fiance Visa
Part 2. Application type or filing category? - click from 1.a Family-based (Person admitted to the US as a fiancée)
Receipt number of underlying petitioner? is this WAC#? - yes, its the WAC
Part 5: Information about your current marriage: #10 is your current spouse applying with you? No right since spouse is a citizen? - correct - it's only YES if she/he is filing to adjust status too
Part 6: #6 is the child applying with you? (No child is in another country?) - no put no
Please and thank you!
Also, is it ok If we just apply for residence card without work authorization and Permission to travel? Money is tight and I want to get the case started ASAP since its taking so long? - yes it is okay to file for just the GC. Keep in mind though it is free to file the EAD and AP with filing for the AOS. If you should choose to file later, you will have to pay a filing fee for these forms. That is why people file all 3 together. You don't pay extra to file the EAD and AP. The $1225 is the price regardless.

Hi...I haven't filed just yet (putting back together and want to make copies and review it at least 100 times before I sent it out). I will submitting my husband's AOS/EAD/AP package by next Wednesday (Friday is the latest). So I will be an August Filer. We got married on July 22nd. I figured I will say hi now so that way I can follow the thread since you guys will be my "new filing family".
Good luck everyone in advance!

Hey everyone!!!!
I know it's been a while since you've heard from me but I haven't forgotten any of you!!! Reni and I are doing GREAT AND BEAUTIFULLY as it has been 3 weeks since his arrival. He gets along with my son extremely and surprisingly awesome because my son usually doesn't warm up to anyone for a while but you would have thought he's been around Reni the whole duration of our relationship so for me that is definitely reassuring and a blessing for us as a family.
This morning, Reni and I went to the Marriage Bureau/courthouse and picked up our marriage license and he and I will have a small, intimate ceremony Sunday, 7/22. Hopefully, we will be filing the AOS on 7/31/2018 but definitely no later than 8/3/2018. Truly happy Reni's mom is here in the US for work and she will be able to attend and see her son get married and meet my mom as well!!! Reni and I have decided we will have our "wedding" in March 2019 as that would be our 3 year anniversary of being in a relationship.
Hope all of you are doing well with your spouses! I know this thread will soon parish off as many of us are most likely in the AOS forum. Just wanted to say hey and that I miss talking to you all!!!!!
Much love and respect,
Trina

Sorry to sound so dumb but I’m so confused by this.
If I give you my email address could you send me a link to do this.
Ive googled the form but not sure what to do from there ?
How can my record number be on the form
do they send one out to me?
https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home
Here is the website to get your I-94. All you have to do is click on get most recent I-94, type in your name and passport number and dob. You will see your most recent I-94. Click print to print a hardcopy.
The record number will be listed on the I-94

Ok great , I have expiration date on stamp but not sure of question 23a arrival -record number?
Or 23c, status on form? 😩
Your record number is on the I-94. You're current status is fiance visa because that is what you're adjusting from.
Make sure you review the instructions that come with the AOS because a lot this is covered there.

Thanks so much but did I have to have that form for the POE which I’ve already done and just got married?
Where would I get my expiration date of authorised stay, I don’t recall getting anything from the POE officer?
No, you get your I-94 after POE which is available online. Customs no longer provides a hardcopy. Your expiration date is from your stamp that customs put i your passport. But since came here on a K1 visa, the I-94 takes the place of that.

Congratulations to all my fellow May filers.
So great to see everyone has made it ❤️
Quick question, I’m not aware of the form I-94
I didn’t fill anything out at my POE and wasn’t given anything?
Im filling out our AOS form now and not sure what to do ?
Any help would be appreciated 😀
It's available online. Type I-194 in Google and click on the website. You'll need your passport in order to pull it out and then print it.

AOS AUGUST 2018 FILERS FROM K-1 [merged threads]
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Hi All,
It appears to be 2 August AOS Filer threads happening at the same time, so I'm trying to see about getting them merged together so we can all be on this AOS journey together and if there are questions, we can all find the answer in the same thread.
I plan on mailing my husband's AOS via FedEx either tomorrow or Friday (he just has to take his passport photos today). But our entire AOS/EAD/AP package is all set and ready to go!!!! Just gonna review it at least 5 more times today to make sure nothing is overlooked!!!!
So for now, I'm just saying Hi...and good luck to everyone!
